vmax Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 There's 7 new teams to the playoff field. Bears Browns, Colts, Rams, Steelers, Bucs and the WTF's. Usually 4 new teams who missed the previous season qualify. Adding the 7th playoff spot is part of this increase. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Browns are screwed, 8-9 players, head coach all under covid restrictions, coach and several players not eligible for the playoff game. What can the league do? Postpone? Is that fair to the other playoff teams? Have the game played, is that fair to the Browns? Oh what a mess we are starting to make.... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 They are playing it. It does suck for them. The league office is losing legitimacy for the product they are putting out. Quote
vmax Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 I hear it's only 2 players plus the coaches. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Maybe I heard it wrong, several coaches including the head coach, two players this week plus the 4 or five from last week... So first it was the drive, then the fumble, now it will be the pandemic..... Quote
Spen Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 It is a shame that this is not a snowy weekend in Baltimore. That way I would feel better about watching 9 hours of sports each day, Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 I'm glad to see the sun out today. This whole week has been dark and gloomy. Yea...I'm all in on watching every game and I'm in shape after 2 days of CNN. See... ...Eye exercises...Check!. Plus, I hit the gym this morning. Bills/Colts to start the day off. I see the Bills all the way. This is a good game to "scout" since the Ravens could play them if both teams win. It will be interesting to see if the Colts D can slow them down. The Colts D is a slot above the Ravens in yards allowed. the ravens yield 18.9 points per game. The Bills are 8 slots below at 23.4. the colts give up more passing yards than the Ravens...241.6 to 221. the Colts are better than the Ravens against the run. #2 in the league at 90.5 and they faced Henry twice. Ravens at 108.8. The Colts are better than the Ravens in takeaways: 25 to 22 and are better in the turnover differential +10 to +4. Bills have the #2 offense. Allen is very hot. It will help to see how the Colts D does against them. Don't let Titans fans see this. They may be more deserving. I don't know how this stuff works....like the crav curse. "A Ravens win tomorrow?????" Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Good game so far. Colts up 10-7. Allen and Rivers have made some chunk yard big plays passes. Colts defense is settling down. Good field position Colts so far. Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 14-10 at half. Bills up. Colts went for td on 4th and goal, failed and c Bills drove the field for the go ahead td to end half. You take the points. Possibly it's 13- 7 Colts. At least 14- 13 Bills. Instead 14 -10 . 7 point swing. Allen will run when the opportunity presents itself. You can see Lamar's influence and the Ravens offense in the Bills offense. Quote
Spen Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I like the call by the Colts. It didn't work but I liked it. Allen is fun to watch. His accuracy improvement over the three years is amazing. I'm sure Diggs has helped. Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Oh Allen is awesome. He will be a force for years to come. I also feel good for the long suffering Bills fans. Both QB's are big play QB's. Quote
Spen Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I never minded the Bills, hate the 3rd down train noise though Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) Might not be the Colts day. Receivers dropping passes, Rivers misses a throw that would have produced a 1st down and now the missed FG ( photo of kicker ) Colt D is playing well. 88.3 W% Edited January 9, 2021 by vmax Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 There's your Diggs. From Maryland. Passed over by Ravens. Right in our own back yard. Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Holy shit...Colts are back in it. Bills fans must be taking Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Colts have 4 downs to get 10 yards all the way now. And plenty of time. Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Great game. I'm less afraid of the Bills now. Certainly respect them very much. Great team. Quote
vmax Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 And Great for Bills fans. 25 years since winning a playoff game. And we bitch and moan. Well...I guess Bills fans have been doing that, yet we are fortunate Ravens fans. Quote
