tsylvester Posted September 18, 2022 Share Posted September 18, 2022 I am disgusted, just unbelievable, a 21 pt blown 4th quarter lead, with the offense not turning the ball over, in the 4th, save for one turnover on downs. This teams inability to get half a yard on 3 different occasions is likely a major factor in the loss. The fumble at the goal line in the first did not help but did not play a factor in a 21 pt fourth quarter debacle. Play calling on both sides of the ball, personnel usage, yeah, that was the difference. Playing for a field goal once they passed the 50, usual Harbs stuff. This defense collapsed, outside of 2 Houston sacks, in the first half as usual, there was no pressure, not even from him. They could not get off of blocks leading to major gains on the ground. Coverage seemed to be no more than let them catch it then tackle them. They gave up 6 touchdowns in the air, six. Queen and Harrison were pretty much no shows, as usual, the defensive line was just playing patty cake with the phins offensive line. You have a 21 pt lead and you go 0 coverage? You only rush 2 on multiple occasions, 3 on several more... Even with 8 and 9 in coverage you give up big plays and not as if Tua had to hold the ball for ever, it was five steps throw, touchdown... This defense is a mess and injury is not an excuse. McDonald has a lot to do and also to prove. So far he isn't impressing me 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
