tsylvester Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Boy if ever there was a get right game, this one is it for the offense. The Falcons are bad in every way, time to break out of this mud bank the offense has been stuck in, flex those muscles. We all they are there, we saw flashes of it this year, remember, one must only remember. If the offense doesn't take off this week, no matter who is under center, then just fire every coach right after the game, go get Harrel from Purdue before the ink dries on his new contract. Let Peters and the Big Guy rest, a rookie qb and average wide outs with a bad offensive line means the replacements can get some work. Maybe even that high draft prospect coming off of an injury, the one who did very little in college... cough cough Quote
vmax Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) From Hensley: The Ravens haven't had a wide receiver catch a touchdown pass since Week 3. We're kind of pissed off right now about what happened [Saturday]," Zeitler said, before adding, "Any time [the defense] only gives up 13 points, there should be no team in the league that we lose to. You should not rush for over 200 yards and have three points." I hope Lamar is healthy enough to play. That would give him and the coaches 3 games to be playoff ready ... if that's possible. I'm not confident. The Ravens make bad teams look good. Sound familiar? C Falcons This game went like almost every other Falcons game this season: Their QB play wasn't great, but their nearly unstoppable rushing attack kept them in the game. The Falcons (5-9) totaled 231 yards on the ground with 139 of those coming from Tyler Allgeier, who bulldozed his way through the Saints defense. The problem for the Falcons is that their offense got off to a slow start behind Desmond Ridder, who led them to just three points in the first half in his first career start. Although Ridder wasn't great, he did come up with a clutch throw on fourth-and-5 late in the game, only to watch Drake London fumble the ball away. The Falcons had a chance to make a statement in the race for the NFC South title, but they let it slip away. varaven45 Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Another game we are supposed to win convincingly. Ha! It'll be another barn burner. Our D will somehow, someway make the rookie QB look like Johnny U. Meanwhile, our O will struggle against an Atlanta D which plays tough and a team that still has hopes of winning the NFC South. Something tells me that if they were calling for Harbs & GRO's heads after last game, wait until after this one. Quote
