vmax
Only two quarterbacks in modern NFL history have ever started the first 60 games of their career. One is Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. The other is Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. While that’s a testament to Flacco’s durability and toughness, it’s not the only criteria by which he should be judged. He’s also done it while winning – a difficult feat for young quarterbacks. With last Sunday’s 29-14 victory over the Houston Texans, Flacco reached the 40-career win mark (including playoffs) in just 60 games. By comparison, Manning had only 30 wins in the first 60 starts of his career. That means of all quarterbacks since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger who started since Day 1 of their rookie season and never missed a start, Flacco is the fastest to 40 total wins. “It’s about winning. Then the stats come,” Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron said.http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/2011/10/21/flacco-reaches-40-win-milestone/ Joe keeps hitting milestones. cravnravn
Theres only one other QB in the league that I would want if Joe wasnt a Raven and thats Rogers..All the other elite QB's are either damaged or old.
vmax
Here's another fact... Joe Flacco: One of the reasons they call him "Joe Cool" is because of his poise on the road. Since his rookie season in 2008, Flacco has led Baltimore to an NFL-best 18 wins away from home (including the playoffs). In those road games, he has thrown 22 touchdown passes and five interceptions, and has a passer rating of 95.5.http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/33881/final-word-afc-north-
papasmurfbell
OK great job. He did little in the NE playoff win. While he is very good some of the drool running off him really does need tempering. I think Cam is really hurting him. On Kenny and Vinny the other day they had his stats broken down by quarter. In the first he was really good. In the 2nd he sucks. In the third he is playing very well and in the 4th he blows. His ability doesn't disappear from quarter to quarter. He sure throws a pretty INT.
papasmurfbell
I was listening to a national sports talk last night. They said Kyle should have a DB's camp.

OutsideRzAcE
idiots Well...I'm still a Joe believer, but games like last night are exactly why there will always be critics - local and national. He was downright awful.
cravnravn
OTR How can you pin that on Joe, his WR's had zero seperation. His O-Line was, what O-Line...Pathetic to say the least.. It was probably the worst performance by the O ever..Nobody did anything positive worth mentioning.
papasmurfbell
OL is a disgrace. Nice job Oz. His WR's couldn't get seperation. Nice rubs, crosing paterns, and picks Cam.

Crav how can you say the worst performance by the O ever and not blame Joe? He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn last night. The WR's did get separation on some plays..and Joe would throw it 2 feet away from their body. He was very inaccurate in the first half. He was also very late getting the ball to the WR's on their curl routes or comebackers (whatever you want to call them). I saw a couple of replays where they were open immediately after turning but by the time Joe delivered the football they were wearing a CB jacket again. papasmurfbell
It was all their faults. But fault lies more on some that others. Joe should finally just start to ignore Cam and call what needs to be done.

cravnravn
Is Joe's contract up after this season? Is he going to want 'top 5' money? No, his contract is up next year, Ray Rice is up at the end of the season. And if Im the FO, Joe plays out his contract and dont want to hear a peep about it in the media. Unless we win the SB, then Joe can bitch & moan all he wants.

Agreed because his little comment about I'm a top 5 QB is a bit of a laugher right now!
papasmurfbell
Of course. Joe has to play it out.
Spen
I agree, I'm convinced Top 5 will never be a good franchise QB but even I think its logical to play out his contract to see.
