oggieman Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 And the trend continues as rookie QBs have a hard time winning playoff games, especially on the road. Today it was Matt Ryan, the offensive rookie of the year. Tommorrow it is Flacco. Welcome to the playoffs where 77.7% of rookie qbs lose their first playoff games. Rest well Mr. Flacco--tommorrow you learn a valuable lesson. Enjoy the show. Quote
ForceEight Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I sincerely hope you come back and visit us again tomorrow evening. I can't wait for your reaction then. Good luck! Quote
SpearSrai Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 As I said in the other post... doesn't this actually increase Flacco's chances? 75% of the time rookies fail... one rookie already went down... that shifts the odds in our favor I think. But you're the stats expert. Quote

Thank you for inviting me back. I can't wait to see some of the real cocky members that have predicted 3 or 4 touchdown victories by the ravens come back here tommorrow with their tails between their legs. Let's see what they have to say after the Ravens get an old fashioned beat down in Miami. Quote

But when we win, you'll never be heard from again. Will you be at the game? I live in Florida, and we'll definitely be there. Quote

RavensNest8483 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 The fact that were playing the dolphins instead of the colts or chargers get me thru the night. Awfully cocky for a team that got donkey punched by a rookie qb earlier in the yr. Quote

If the fins lose, I'll be back to eat my crow and congratulate the knowledgeable fans in this forum. If the fins win, I'll be back with some "final thoughts". But either way, I will be back. I am originally from Miami (aventura) but I live in las vegas now. If you're going to the game, enjoy it. But be careful with the rowdy groups in the corners. If you are sitting there, the Miami fans there like to start fights with opposing fans, usually around the 3rd quarter. But most fans won't bother you. And you'll have plenty of ravens fans around you. Good luck. Quote

vmax Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Tony Sparano is 0-1 vs. the Ravens. John Harbaugh is 1-0 vs. the Dolphins. Quote

It's a playoff crowd that will be plenty drunk and rowdy by 10 a.m. when they open the parking lot gates. Seriously, if people talk crap to you, just let it go. I've been there for many playoff games over the years and I have seen lots of fights at the Orange Bowl and Joe Robbie. Just let it go. Quote

It's because we don't consider you a serious opponent. We're already trolling the Titans boards in anticipation of our game next week. Good luck next season. Quote

Your team is on the road facing a team that has won 9 of 10 NFL football games. And you're overlooking this team? You're a liar. Period. On second thought, don't take any crap today from the Miami fans at Joe Robbie. Be the jerk you are and wear that black eye proudly--you'll look just like Joe Flaccid will look after a little greeting from Joey Porter. Turn out the lights...the party is over...Miami 13 Baltimore 10. Quote

oggieman Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 Looks like today's game will decide Coach of the Year honors. With all 3 candidates (Sporano, Smith and the creep from Baltimore) doing such a great job, it's only fitting that a playoff game will decide the winner. Quote
cravnravn Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Why is Harbs a creep? And its going to come down to Harbs and Sparano. Look out for Fisher though. Quote

You sound just like the Mayor of Delusionville. You're right---after all, who did Joey Porter get all those sacks against...blah blah blah blah. Now is a good time to get that "gas" you talked about yesterday. "Dude", you're going to need lots of it. Quote
oggieman Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 Why is Harbs a creep? And its going to come down to Harbs and Sparano. Look out for Fisher though. calling harb a creep was a joke. Fisher is in it--but I think it will go to a rookie. It's just an amazing thing to do what Smith, Sporano and "harb" have done ths year. It truly proves the power of good coaching to turn a franchise around in one year, as a rookie. And to have 3 doing it the same year? There has to be a stat on that! Quote
