papasmurfbell
That would be fantastic
ravensflow
I think history shows QBs in these situations don't work out, think Farve and Montana. Manning might be different, especially with all the cap to build around him.
papasmurfbell
No I think it will fail.
ForceEight
No way, it'll be great. I'm not saying they'll win any SBs, but the Broncos will be a very, very good team because he is there. They already have a decent and improving young defense, and it's not as if Manning ever needed any "real" offensive weapons.
papasmurfbell
OK I see that. If the plan is SB he wont get them there. Also not playing most of his games in a dome will effect him.
ForceEight
No it won't. When did he ever show that he can't play as well outdoors? Literally, ever?
Dunno
No it won't. When did he ever show that he can't play as well outdoors? Literally, ever? 13th of january 2007. McNair however proved he was even worse.
ForceEight
13th of january 2007. McNair however proved he was even worse. One game doesn't mean he can't play outdoors. He's had shitty games in domes, too; does that mean he's terrible in those? Here's his splits. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/4256/splits?year=career The primary difference is that he throws more INTs outside (you know, away?). He actually throws for more yards and an almost identical completion percentage, on average, outside versus on the turf. I'm sorry, but that's not a fair argument in making a case that he won't be damn good.
cravnravn
Im praying he cant get adjusted to the altitude and throws the dam ball out of Mile High Stadium.

Dunno
He shares in the blame as well. But back to the original point of Manning's stats when playing outside. Anyone know his combined stats when playing in Baltimore?
papasmurfbell
No and I am not going to do all the research and math to find out.
