How many receivers can we keep on the roster realistically? Who should they be?

Its the deepest group of receivers we've ever had by a long shot.

Torry, Bouldin, Evans, LaQuan, and Thompson should make it. I think Doss makes it too. I think Streeter will be IRed to keep him.

I don't think Evans is still here. Did you mean Jacoby Jones?

I think he means Jacoby who's looked really good so far. I'd too would like to see them keep LaQuan and Thompson and Streeter. Is Streeter hurt that he can go on IR?

I think he's got a "back" problem.......or maybe an ailing "knee"......that would do it.

Jacoby Jones could be a unbelieveable "X" factor for us. I keep forgetting he's with us. I really like LaQuann Williams. He just won't go away. Honestly I really like Doss.

I agree with papa, I think we are looking at Boldin, Smith, Jones, Williams, Doss, and Thompson with a way to try and sneak Streeter on IR. Doss is too high of a draft pick to give up on after only a year. Williams and Thompson add special teams value, but Streeter and Doss do not. Williams has worked his butt off and improved vastly over the offseason. Thompson has an elite skill set to be an impact returner for us. So the decision comes down to Streeter vs Doss, with Streeter IMO getting a 'redshirt' year.

It's a tough decision, because anyone we let go will get snatched up by another team's roster IMO. I do not think we could 'sneak' any of these guys onto the practice squad.

I go with your assessment cleetz.

We know Jones, Boldin and Smith are penciled in.

Got to keep Williams....he's developing very well and has a huge fire in his belly.

I want Doss and Thompson but will they keep 6 receivers?

Streeter can play against the 3's but that's it. I've seen too many one dimensional guys like him flounder around.

Yagaddebeshiddingme??? did you see him go gator arms when Joe perfectly threw him a sideline pass and he spotted Landry out of the corner of his eye?? That was 6!!!! Landry took a bad angle, wouldnt have laid him out.

Jones needs to go #83 can return kicks for us..

Lol, I know you're not a fan lol.

However, I really think that Jones could haul in 30 or so passes with 15-16 being for very large gains. With his speed, even if he's a decoy that is huge. I'm not advocating throwing him the ball with the game on the line. I'm saying take a few shots, early in games. Make a defense respect you. Jones does have some very good aspects to his game as a 3rd receiver.

Cmon Crav......you can believe! haha

Jones is great for us. We can send him on the fly routes a few times a game to give Smith more rest (those sprints get tiring!). Flacco seems to really like him as well which we can not understate the importance of.
