Earl Weaver died last night

Recommended Posts

So long Earl. 82 years is a great run.

As the saying goes...those were the days. Growing up, Earl Weaver, the O's and Memorial stadium....and championships and baseball excellence.

Great pitching, great defense and the long ball.

A great manager has passed. I liked him since the days the Reds and the Orioles played in the 1970 World Series.

I'm still a bit miffed Baltimore won that series though.

The Human Vacum Cleaner is why the Reds lost

I haven't forgotten Brooks Robinson either. The plays he made were simply amazing, and you have to have an arm to throw from 3rd base.

i know. I watched him play.

BTW the audio on that clip was bad, but the video was really all you needed.

I think we're really dating ourselves here. That series happened almost 43 years ago. i still vivdly remember it, yet i'm walking around the house looking for where I put down my car keys two hours ago.

Baseball history is passing before our eyes. Now former Cardinal Stan Musial has passed as well. Stan the man was a bit before my time, but he was an all time great baseball player.

R.I.P. Stan.
