Age and the mileage caught up with Ray, but after 17 years of tons of huge games, he didn't get a case of the jitters.

That is not true. Ed Hartwell didn't like Ray either. There have been several who didn't like the Ray deity thing.

I can certainly understand some players not liking Ray. Ray got far and away the most attention of all the players on defense and that can bother some players. I don't agree with it, but I understand.

 

It still doesnt make Pryces comments any less stupid. Yeah, he was nervous.
