varaven45 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 While we are at it, When are we dumping Ngata and Suggs ? Oh and how about Webb ? Shouldn't we just blow the whole damn thing up ? Quote
cravnravn Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Oh BTW VA, McKinney is on his way to miami, got his tweet half hour ago Quote
varaven45 Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Crav, McKinnie to Miami ? Why not. Everyone else is going to Miami. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Yup, He tweeted from Chicago, "Just got on my connecting flight in Chicago, Wheels up! Destination: Miami" ~Bryant McKinnie. This is bullshit, I know this is fallout from Joe going to the press on Boldin, I just know it Quote
vmax Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I know how everybodys feeling. It feels like I went to work yesterday morning, came home and half the teams gone. So I go to work today, come home and there goes the other half. Here's who's next to go: Anybody who is old, losing speed or has a lot of mileage on them. Quote
oldno82 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Yeah, Max, but Pollard was only 28!I think Ozzie needs to do some serious explaining to the media and fans as to what the hell is going on with his mind these days. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 With Pollard gone, you would think it would be even more important that Ed Reed comes back, after all, losing 2 safeties is a tall obstacle to recover from. Apparently though, the Ravens have still never contacted Reed and many suspect that the Ravens don’t even want him. One expert went so far as to say that he didn’t think the Ravens would resign him at vet minimum. Ouch. Here is the part I was referring to earlier when i said this mess is going to get even worse. Get in your heads now Ravens fans. Ed Reed is done in Baltimore. I have been told it is already a done deal and the Ravens aren’t pursuing Reed at all. The final tally looks like it will have the Ravens losing Boldin, Kruger, Ellerbe, Lewis, Birk, Reed, Pollard, McKinney, and Williams. 9 starters(technically like 8 1/2).It is almost pitch black right now. but don’t worry, It cant get much darker and the second wave of free agency is almost here.http://ebonybird.com/2013/03/13/nfl-free-agency-things-are-still-going-to-get-worse-in-baltimore-before-they-get-better/ Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I am seeing around that this has to do with the revolt by the players. So you cross the coach and you are out. That will start getting expensive for the owner. 1 Quote
cravnravn Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 You want to see a revolt, let that franchise QB get pummeled like he has in the past, and we gave away our stellar LT..You'll see a revolt Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I agree. But Joe will say nothing he has his cash. If the offense flounders and the D is nothing players and fans will go nuts. The Joe deal will have made no sense. 1 Quote
cravnravn Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Ed Reeds visiting the Texans Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Goooooooodieeeee Quote
vmax Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) I agree. But Joe will say nothing he has his cash. If the offense flounders and the D is nothing players and fans will go nuts. The Joe deal will have made no sense. Joe's deal makes all the sense in the world if you know the objective of the Ravens is to get to and win the Super Bowl.It is not happening without a true franchise QB. I can't believe you said that because you say the season is a loss...a waste if the team doesn't win the Super Bowl. WITHOUT JOE FLACCO AND HIS EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE IN THE PLAYOFFS THERE IS NO TROPHY IN BALTIMORE!!!!!!!! Edited March 13, 2013 by vmax Quote
oldno82 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 No no no, we needed them to sign Flacco! That was a must. Franchise QBs are too hard to find and you have been drafting way down to get one. I have no problem with what Flacco's getting especially since he kept it cap friendly for 3 years. As for what constitues a 'lost' season...I'll be content if they're just competitve and entertaining and win an occasional SB like they have been doing. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 But if everything is cast off Joe can't get you there on his own. I would have made a bunch of moves and moved on from there with a new QB. 1 Quote
oldno82 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 No QB can get you there on his own...look at Brees last season. Manning, Brady, and Rodgers made it to the playoffs but couldn't win a championship. A Super Bowl win is extremely hard to do. Those teams have missing parts. So do we. Maybe a lot at the moment. We'll have to see how it plays out. BUT I AGREE THEY'VE GOT TO GET A GOOD, LEGITIMATE LT! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Hell Brees almost carried them on his own. The D was sooooo bad. Joe is not in the Brees. 1 Quote
cravnravn Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Im ready, 2 cups of coffee in.. I wonder what moves we make today Carey Williams?Vonte Leach? Quote
