  1. Mckinnie is giving about 50% effort out there. Koch is having a horrible day...he has these bad games where he just muffs every other punt. These 25 yard punts are as good as a turnover. Get your shit together!
  2. Do you remember when Joe Flacco threw that 2-yard touchdown pass to Vonta Leach in the first quarter of the season opener? You should, because it was the last time the Baltimore Ravens have scored a point in the first quarter. The Ravens are the only team in the NFL to get shut out in the first quarter for the past three games. Let's look at this drought by the numbers: 4 -- Three-and-out drives in the first quarter the past three games 9 -- Penalties by the Ravens in the first quarter the past two weeks 12 -- First-quarter points allowed by the Ravens during this offensive drought 14 -- Average rushing yards in the first quarter over the past three games 34 -- Points scored by the Chicago Bears in the first quarter over the past three weeks while the Ravens have been shut out 37.7 -- Joe Flacco's passer rating in the first quarter the past three weeks 45 -- Plays since the Ravens last scored in the first quarter 69 -- Yards on the past three opening drives for the Ravens 88 -- First-quarter points scored by the Ravens last season, their fewest of any quarter in 2012 Source: http://espn.go.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/1700/breaking-down-ravens-first-quarter-drought
  3. I understand your point about Ray, but again, what's the downside of using the IR-designated to return tag? There isn't one, besides the fact that they can only use it on one player. It allows them to put off the final decision about him playing until they've seen how well (or poorly) he's healed.
  4. Same for me. If I wear a certain jersey and we look bad i'll shelve for a while. A couple of years ago I wouldn't shave my mustache and beard if we went on a winning streak.
  5. The offense is a joke. Until the offense proves it can stay on the field we don't deserve respect. Let's hope they bounce back today.
  6. and another TD for Winston on the very next play
  7. Ok i've been watching for 5 minutes. Down 35-0, I see the Terps have Winston wrapped up in the backfield only for him to escape and throw a TD. Yikes! Then the ensuing drive by Terps offense goes like this: 1st down - Rowe sacked for 9 yard loss 2nd and 19 - 3 yard run 3rd and 16 - false start 5 yard penalty 3rd and 21 - Tight end catches a 19 yard pass, runs for a first down then fumbles back to FSU. Wow!
  8. 42-0 FL St. Terps can't stay within 5 yards of these receivers.
  9. That'll teach you to get hurt old man!
  10. You missed the point completely.
  11. Obviously a different injury, but my point is that was also supposed to be season ending. If they would have just IR'd him like everyone though they would do, he never would have had the chance to come back. What is the downside of putting Pitta on this designated to return list anyway....does it cost us a roster spot?

  13. I doubt most pros view Ngata as the best Dlineman in the league. Not with Watt and Wilfork out there. Also I don't think we're the only two people who think he was overrated when you consider he went from top 10 in the NFL Network's top 100 in 2012 to #42 this past year. He's good but he doesn't impact or control a game like the best Dlineman in the league do. I still remember that AFC playoff game against NE 2 years ago...Wilfork was a terror all game and almost highhandedly won them that game. Ngata will have a big hit or a big play and then disappear for the rest of the game.
  14. Sorry but i'm with 82. I never bought all the Ngata hype. A big play here and a big play there, but he doesn't dominate consistently or make others around him better. Suggs does. Personally I think Rice is going to be shopped. How many teams do you see with big QB AND RB contracts?
  15. Everyone scoffed when the put the designated to return tag on Ray in the middle of last season and look how that turned out. I think the decision makers deserve the benefit of the doubt.
  16. I love it. Ozzie doesn't do panic moves so apparently McKinnie was a bigger issue than we realized. Even if he wasn't the problem, it's clear the Line needs help and this guy appears to be a steal. If only they could have worked Mercedes Lewis into the deal.
  17. Why do they get rid of Max Starks every year? He has always produced. I wanted the Ravens to pick him up.
  18. Oops...I double posted this. It's way past due with Dickson. I like the way he protects players and coaches for the most part, but Dickson doesn't deserve it anymore. Harbs needs to turn the pressure up.
  19. Harbs typically shields players and coaches from criticism in the media so the fact that he is actually calling out Dickson at a press conference is big. This is way past due and I think he's striking the right tone. Being patient with him hasn't done anything for us - it's time to push some buttons. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-harbaugh-says-ed-dickson-isnt-the-same-player-that-he-was-two-years-ago-20130930,0,3472079.story
  20. Just because you believe the team is going to struggle it doesn't mean you've quit on this team. The fact of the matter is this is not a good team right now. The wool was pulled over our eyes a bit with that gift Houston win but I honestly think we're the same caliber team as the Steelers. Ok Defense, no running game, turnover prone due to injuries to the offense. Juan Castillo was brought in to fix the running game, but it's only gotten worse. Is it time to go back to that zone block scheme we were successful with in the past? The tight ends on this roster are a joke, but they continue to be featured in the offense. Dickson has lost his confidence. I understand if they don't want to cut him with our depth issue at TE but at what point does he become seen as the problem instead of part of the solution? If Furstenburg is not any better than some choke artist who drops 3x as man as he catches then he really doesn't even belong on the PS. Clark is more reliable than Dickson but isn't the playmaker the offense requires at the position. Hopefully Thompson's injury isn't serious if he's healthy it's time to gear the offense to more 3 and 4 WR sets, getting the best pass catchers on the field. As for the defense - they are pretty good, but not good enough to be on the field as much as the anemic offense forces them to be. Especially when they get put on a short field 2 or 3 (or 5) times a game.
  21. This offense is so pathetic
  22. Good start for the D. What happened to Webb btw? I missed his injury
  23. I don't think he quit on the team, but I don't think he considered the possiblity of throwing short and kicking a field goal. I think he was thinking Hail Mary only. Definitley a mistake on his part either way.
  24. I wonder if we can get the Browns to trade us Jordan Cameron
  25. I There was no time left on the clock. There was only 3 seconds left when the play started. They should have left 10 seconds.
