Yea Pierce is fine with me...We've got depth at his position. Webb has proven to be pretty fragile. Outside of Jones I would always have a backup catch punts and kicks.
I had high hopes for him but so far so bad. He plays soft. Dickson is done on this team. He can't even grab the starting spot with Pitta on the sideline. You can tell the team has more faith in Clark...we'll see what happens with Clark's butterfingers at the end of the half.
A little surprised by Doss being cut, but he was defintley outplayed in the preseason by Brown and Melette http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ravens-roster-cuts-furstenburg-released-two-others-20130831,0,887276.story
I can't believe Rex's rationale for putting Sanchez in was that he wanted to win the game. It's the preseason! Rex is done. He won't make it through the season.
A bit of a culture clash between Ray and Flacco, but that doesn't change the fact that Ray was a great leader. The article on Flacco in ESPN the magazine by KVV (formerly of the Sun) is very good. Also a great article in there about Mason and the difficulties former players have transitioning into the real world after playing in the NFL.
They paid a hell of a price for him if they only intended for him to be a short term solution. I think Whitlock is reaching here, especially in portraying RG3 as some paranoid insecure control freak. I believe RG3 wanted to stay in the game against the Seahawks, but if Shannahan wanted him out he would've pulled him. That is more Shannahan's team than it is RG3's. RG3 is competitive and he wants to play. I think it's as simple as that.
That's a surprise. I thought all that dancing would get him in great football shape. Apparently he failed on the interval runs....not a good way to start off the competition for #2
I did notice that Phil Simms and Jim nantz were conspicuously absent from most of our big national games. We got a lot of Greg and Dierdorf...who I honestly don't mind.
Joe is underrated at 22, especially if you look at where they have Peyton Manning and Ryan. Give me Joe ahead of both of those QB's. I'd put Joe in the mid teens. Haloti Ngata is overrated...he should not be that high on the list.
