Lol, 1 combined punt, 1 combined sack. Most total yards in NFL history, most passing yards in post season history, 2nd most pts scored in a Super Bowl. Brady, first quaterback to throw for 500 yards and a couple of scores to lose a Super Bowl. The Super Bowl was the perfect example of the NFL game; bad play. Yes, some great throws, great catches, great tough runs, but terrible play, missed tackles, missed penalty calls, and the icing on the cake, 2, not 1, but two controversial catches... Oh and we even had a player get knocked out (Chung) leave the field, come back in shortly later (only to leave again)... Concussion protocol my butt....

I think the Biscuit touched on it, being too careful, over analysis of draft picks pre draft, I think that definitely goes back to Rice and the way they mishandled it. Shame no one chided him by asking him if we should pray for them as they make draft choices...

You were fooled then Max, he knew what questions were coming, exactly how it was going to go, evident by the Friday before Super Bowl press conference. -
Seems to me, the scouts are Ozzie's scape goat
-
I give them credit for trying to stay loyal and promote from with in, but just like their replay guy who tells Harbs to challenge obvious plays he will lose, they had to see those scouts were not very good. We did, and Ozzy having say still does not make me feel any better about this team especially since he could not see that those scouts were not very good at judging talent...

My fav Lewis play was when he took the ball from Eddie George after a little pass over the middle. If he doesn't, Titans likely win. Because he did, it propels them to their first Super Bowl...

Is the Patriots' secret weapon their character coach?
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in NFL General
Um, other teams just might, they might just have the title called something else.. Piss poor article... -
If reports are true. Good for them, two great players. Now put Kenny Andersen in and I might actually care about the Hall of Shame once again.
-
Wait and see what happens after this game. Both coordinators, qb coach, line coach all leaving. Oh and yes, they only have one of the best qbs of all time and a head coach who is also a brilliant football mind. So that has gottwn them this far but this may be it for them.
-
So, my thinking is, after this game, win or lose, Brady retires, Billy Boy moves on. Bill has been unBelichick this post season, Brady overly coy...
-
Yeah, that had me scratch my head, over stating that a 25 year old can't tell a good player from a bad one, but a 35 year old could... He took some serious shots at Harbs & Ozzie, then throws out the nepotism line a few moments later...
-
Nope, but they would have had they not made it this far. Even if they lose Sunday, it will be; Wentz was not there... As I said, I think the writing is on the wall, no more excuses.
-
This is Harbs' last chance, injuries are no longer an excuse, even if the Biscuit used it as one to defend all the defensive picks last year. Sure, no ultimatum, but saying;"he (Harbs) has more pressure on him than he ever has in his life is enough, no need to give him the playoffs or bust"... I think it is clear. I also think they he was being honest that they will target offensive weapons in free agency, and the draft.
-
Pees might have left because of their nepotism rule... Biscuit should tell Harbs about that rule... Yes Eric has been here for a long time, but Ozzie had the final call on the players..
-
Bout time, he will stay on for now to help the transition to Decosta, been planned four years ago, his contract ends next season.

Looks like a middle school helmer; fitting...

Three questions for Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Those and other weak questions have already been submitted to the Biscuit and his bakers I am sure...candied yams.. -
Oh, noe I meant they should have kept him.
-
Yep, makes no sense, not at his age and that money. Just build around Cousins. I guess this means they are likely to go qb in round 1?

Three questions for Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
1) why, historically, has this team not been able to draft nor develop a wide receiver? 2) why does this team contiue to start the season out slowly, then collapse in the 4th quarter of games late in the season? 3) do you mix the yolks separately from the whites then add them together to make a Biscuit? -
Wow. No this is not April foolz early.. They give up a 3rd pick and a player... http://www.espn.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/35485/redskins-once-again-swing-big-for-a-quarterback-now-alex-smith-must-deliver

All star games today...... If this is even close, the NFL would be in bigger trouble than thought. Oh & no, I won't be watching either "game".
