The Ravens’ blueprint extends past personnel
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Just shows, injuries are no excuse for this team. -
Strong arm, inaccurate, can't read a defense, no touch on throws. I wonder, did he ever play in the rain? I've seen a number of his games, enough to know he is not a 1st round draft pick. I also think this is just blathering by the Ravens, no way they have interest in him. Sure, he had a subpar line and average at best receivers, but come on, 50% completion rate in college? No thanks.

So who, reporters, are going to be around to ask real questions?
-
What a farce, cowards, Biscut has no baking soda...
-
One he claims he thought was his but did not fit his phone. Ok, he couldn't afford a new one? Who reports a stolen phone charger and why on earth would charges be pressed? There has to be more to this story...kids...

And they usually hold it the first week of January in years they miss the playoffs. Now with the senior bowl this week, and no mention of the press conference, clearly it will not be this month. This could indicate the cowards are going to ignore the fans and not hold one. Not that they said anything truly meaningful in those press conferences, but it would surely be nice, especially for the lemmings. But given the way they have handled public relations lately, not having one would not shock me...

Yes, I find it odd, haven't they normally had it by now? Maybe they are waiting for all the coaching changes to get done so they can hire someone and then announce it at the liars luncheon.... Or maybe they need a lot of time to come up with the words they think will quell the fan disgust. "Pray for them".....
-
It is that type of thinking, from the front office, that is why this team keeps being mediocre.... Yea! Ozzie found more undrafted, defensive linemen or avaerage linebackers than any other team... Yippie, what has that done for this team? Nadda
-
Look forward to hear why from him.

No, it goes back further than Harbs. They completely missesd on the 2004,2005 draft, 2 players out of the 2006 draft class, one a great punter mind you, but still a punter. 08 2 players out of 10, Flacco & Rice. 09 only six picks because of the trade, & only Webb remains, even he was not the player they thought. We could go on, but this is clear, it isn't all Harbs, but Ozzie was in all of it. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/rav/draft.htm

When was the last time they hit on a 2nd round pick? Sure, they hit on later rounds, fill in players, they are average on first round players, everyone looks at Ray, JO, Ed, Suggs, Heap, but who else have they really hit on? Mosley is avaerage at best, they reach on players like Troy Smith, gamble on players like Reynolds as if they have the talent to teach them or can afford to take the time to not get a player they can use right away.. No matter who is evaluating, Ozzie still sees the tapes, still makes the final call, thus I still say he has to go, retire or fire him..
-
Just hire folks from message boards, they seem to know better than Ozzie.. Do a fan poll on who to draft...
-
So if Jax wins, does that embolden Ozzie to think that he needs to keep building the defense and stop investing in offense? This season of super bowl contenders is really an aborition, but will he see it that way? If Pats are not in it, I would bet this will be the lowest rated super bowl ever...

NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah mocks OT Orlando Brown to Ravens
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Good, let some one over reach for him. Iv watched him play most every game of his career. No way is he better than a 3rd round pick. -

Not in round one. He is like his father, relies on his size, can't get low, struggles againat speed rushers.. Ozzie might take him, but in the 3rd or 4th round. He is a right tackle at best, maybe better sutted at guard. -
Nobody was looking to the past, just shutting down a lame compariaon to one of the greatest defenses of all time. Also, Jax took their foot off the gas? Hardly, they rarely blitz, yet still were among the top in pressure because of their front 4. That is the edge they have in this game, Brady's line is not very good & he is not mobile. Add to that the likely hood he has a cut on his throwing hand requiring stiches, and the Jags could win this game. Pats defense not good against the run, Jags can run the ball well including Bortles. This could be a Jags victory ..

Right?! Their offense was not the problem. Granted, there were a few questionable play calls in that game, but this was not a logical move.
-
He is definitely better than Marty and they would not have to give up anything to get Jim Bob, assuming the Lions keep him...
-
Rolf, I don't think the Ravens defense ever gave up that total pts in the playoffs that Jax gave up in one game alone.... I could be wrong.....

Ravens have 3 obvious cuts to make when free agency begins
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
They should, don't look at his stats, look at his play. I know, I know, they have no one, experienced, behind him... Tough, another over priced free agent Ozzie messed up... -
Which Ravens player was the most disappointing in 2017
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Oh Jefferson for sure, from a media stand point. I was not thrilled with his signing, but the front office and local media sure thought he would make the secondary great....
