Thankfully off the Ravens wish list...
-
He really wasn't here long enough.. Also, Flipper Anderson for the Rams? No chance
-
Do you agree it is Peter Boulware? Interesting list...Oh and Ken Andersen should be in the Hall of Fame... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000919962/article/listing-each-nfl-teams-best-alltime-nonhall-of-fame-player

Who is this clown? Defense in round one is not a position of need nor is runningback.... Neither position is worthy of the 16th pick. If the wide out or Mayfield is not there at 16, you either reach for the tightend of take less than when trading back... If they dare draft defense at 16 or even in the first round if they trade back, they will lose the fanbase that is left.

Ravens re-sign FA Brent Urban to a one-year deal

Eh, one year deal hirts nothing, unless he gets hurts again, then the door might hurt on the way out. -
Baltimore Ravens May Be in on TE Jimmy Graham
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Pass, he can't block, is only really good in wide open offenses, like the Saints run, not like the Ravens run, thus why he did not work out in Seattle. -
Here is a little bit on him. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/2018/3/3/17071934/antonio-callaway-florida-nfl-combine

I hope they trade back to the low 20's, take Gesicki, move up in round 2, nab Christian Kirk, round 3, an offensive linemen, round 4, nab Riley Ferguson, 5th take a flyer on Calloway, sure off the field issues, but he has apparently cleaned up and this team needs his talent. That would be a great draft from my view..
-
Outside of two receivers or one offensive tackle, I would think they would trade down, other wise they would be reaching badly. If they can at least get Guisiki later in the first round or early in round 2, because of a trade down, that would be a win. They don't need a lot of good players, they need specific good players.

Fall according to some who think he was a first round pick. Land, where most people who saw him play the past few years... You don't draft right tackles in the first round and he is a second string right tackle too boot..

Ozzie Newsome views Lamar Jackson as a quarterback
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Hey, a million per year to hold a clip board and wait for a chance to prove your self might be better than bouncing around from team to team to prove you can go over the middle and make a catch. We shall see, wide outs work out tomorrow.. -

He might have the best chance of a long career being the 2nd string qb for 15 years if he isn't a starter.. -

tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Can he catch? The Ravens thought a former Navy qb was a wide out & punt returner; they were wrong.... Just because a small few former qbs turned out to be decent wide outs does not mean he will; the odds are against him.. -

Maybe he is blowing smoke.... But, with time and the right coaching maybe Jackson can be, the major question none of us know is can he learn to read a defense, that is the biggest and real question about him. He might be Boller, Smith, Wright, who knows, he could also be the next great qb with time. The Ravens certainly don't have the coaching staff that can help him. I hope he goes somewhere with the coaches to help him learn. If he can, watch out... -
Ryan is also getting a new contract....
-
This game is going down fast, so what ever changes they want to make to get it to sink quicker is fine by me.. They have screwed it up so much ....
-
Holding is holding, pi is pi, holding is 10 yards, pi currently a spot foul. It is holding if the ball is not in the air, supposedly.... Yep, make it a yardage penalty and there will be more of it, like in college, im ok with that.... They claim they will have more emphasis on the hand fighting this year; mkay sure you will....

Bravo, it should be 15 yards and I hope one day they change the defensive holding from an automatic first down to just the yards... But.... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000917735/article/nfl-could-change-defensive-pi-to-15yard-penalty

A great scheme player, at the right price he would be a great re-Raven.. I know, injuries are an issue, but....

Joe Flacco’s checkdowns and a flawed passing offense
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Bingo, I wonder if these "stats" & "rankings" take into account the lack of quickness the backs and receivers lack on this team. It was only a few years ago when the check downs worked perfectly for this team with Juice or Rice being the target. Check downs kill the Ravens defense most of the time because of quickness and the over pursuit of this defense. It is not all on Joe, but we shouldn't let facts get in the way.
