By people, are you including the Ravens brass, I hope?!

Fumbling issues in college, knee & ankle issues in college, torn mcl last year, is this another Ponzy Schemer bust?
-
Him again? Williams is still out there, I think he still has some left in the tank..

Boo for linking to a pinky site. But the challenges also involve those entrusted in the team's video booth to give the coach a yea or nea. That is terrible and I would like to know if he has changed those coaches over the years. If not, just another reason to put him on the hot seat.

No, he got hurt in their first practice. I would not be surprised if this was related to his neck injury, which then lead to cervical stinosis, which can/ does leave one prone to herniated/ slipped discs.

True test of power comes wben they know you are going to run the ball. Like to see the stats for short yardage, goal line annd late 4th quarter.
-
Look at the attempts, only 434 attempts compared to almost 500 for some of those other teams. Oakland was truly balanced and had the power when they needed it; short yardage, goal line, late in games to run the clock out....
-
No, it is not gone. But the Ravens last five drafts or so have been for athletic linemen, not power blockers. Yanda & Osi were the only ones who were both, one they kept, the other is in Oakland....

He got Jacoby Jones and Torry Smith to put up biggest numbers in their respective careers and neither of them is good, let alone average. Even Pita is a decent tight end but not one of the best. Yet he also had a nice career here. Where are any of the other formsr Raven wide outs? Joe won a Super Bowl with garbage wide outs, made the play offs how many times and won, with them?

Sorry, Max had you there. You said other qbs with salaries that high carry a team. Max showed you, only one qb has carried his team and that is Brady. Brees, Rogers, Ryan, Rothlesburger, Romo, Rivers, Manning, etc have cap killing salaries that limit building a complete team. So unless replacing them, up grading them by cutting their salary means they win 10 plus games and go onto a Super Bowl, bob's your uncle. Joe does not have the stats, true, but he did what only 1 other has done on his way to a Super Bowl win and, when he does get to the playoffs, he has put up the stats. This, with crap for receivers, ala Brady, unlike all of the aforementioned highly paid quarterbacks who carry a team to 7 or 9 wins and sitting home in January...

2 issues, how ever. His condition leaves him more prone to slipped or blown discs. Which can lead to pinched nerves in the neck, leaving one with many different types of pain, even presenting as a torn rotator cup for an example. Oh yes, then there are the head aches, sciatica, etc that are far more likely. Oh yes, I know this from experience... He made 2nd team all pro because of his numbers that were inflated because he was on a bad defense that struggled to tackle. Pass, they made the right call, it is not as if even had they retained hia rights they could have gotten anything better than a conditional 7th round pick in a draft some time in the future. 2ndly, he may get into camp and see that retirement is much better...

Simply put, one can view a player giving up a sack on a play, but if said player was not supposed to be blocking the defender who made the sack, it would be a guess as to who us at fault without knowing the scheme. Same for run blocking, sure, sometimes it is obvious, other times not. I find it difficult to believe they sit around watching every play of every player in the league, thus, how do they derive their stats? What constitutes a good block? Just getting in the way? Do they count a player getting to the 2nd level, but never makes a block on said level? Is a player really great if they had 4 sacks in a game but in each imstance, he was never blocked? Do they count the number of times a defense only rushes 3 but the offense is in max protect and the right tackle has no one to block? Thus, a play where he "gave up no sack".

Ravens tight end Darren Waller suspended for a year

Dope, he had a clear path to making this team, just bust the weights amd stay clean, he didn't need super human strength.... -
I don't know if there will be a bidding war for an average linebacker who doesn't cover well and hung up his cleats. Just because he has the itch again does not mean he will play fearlessly with the potential injury risk.

Look, this goes back to what I have been saying for years; they need to have a cap adjustment for 1 player on each team. Franchise quarterbacks do not grow on trees but their salaries keep growing hurting caps. Look at the past super bowl winniners, team development is what put them over the top and yes a little "luck" plays into it as well. But to stay at the top for years you need player development at all positions and the Ravens have not had that since their super bowl season. All of the top teams have, the Ravens used to be amomg them. But since that gut, even a year or two before that, nothing. Not on the line, no consistant runningback, clearly no receiver, even on defense they have not developed a secondary or linebackers; for years. Thus what we have seen over the past five, six seasosns...even the super bowl season was a case of players playing above their talent, a number of flucky plays.

Who should be the starting center for the Baltimore Ravens

Jensen stinks, it is Urshel or nothing, amd even he may be nothing...
