  1. The footing was horrible, it was almost like he who found the best footing had a good day.... But Hurst has a great game I thought, at left tackle even. Urban continued to make plays, and the rest of the defensive line. How could we not like what Hill was doing at cb, great find. Williams showed why the front office and a lot of us here were so excited to get him in the draft and what he can do IF he stays healthy. Jensen continues to struggle, blown off the ball, slow to react to pick up another defender... Oy...
  2. Let me be clear, I am not saying the Biscutt and front office are racist, far from it, just that they are doing a terrible job feeding the frenzy.
  3. Optics.... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ravens-sign-journeyman-qb-thad-lewis-passing-on-colin-kaepernick-again/ The Ravens showed interest in Kaepernick toward the end of July, but after reports surfaced that the team's owner, Steve Bisciotti, was against signing him. Kaepernick, of course, remains a free agent. The Ravens showing interest and then polling the fans before opting to sign a player that hasn't played in years isn't a great look, any way you slice it.
  4. No Max, while it is true that Lewis is just a camp arm, and that they generally go through a couple each year, the eye test just does not pass. Yes, they are cap (Kaep) locked and likely can't afford Kaep, they were in no better shape 2 weeks ago when they spoke to the media about looking to bring him in. If they could afford him then, they can now. But to then let people believe the fans had a say, in their, "pray for us" press conference, making it seem as if the "out rage" was too much to bring him is fadder. Of all the camp arms out there, they, 2 weeks later, after all the backlash in the media, protests, bring in an african american, one who has not played in 4 years as if to over-state that Lewis is just a camp arm really stinks. This org has really screwed the pooch on this and as I have, this is just another example of the house cleaning that needs to be done.
  5. He has not played a game since 2013.... So maybe they just owed his family a favor, maybe Ponzy Schemer ran into him at Burger King and thought, hey, let us give him a little pay check for the rest of the summer. No seriously, how do you go to this guy, even if just a camp arm? Did Vaughan hurt his arm and there were no other camp arms available?
  6. Bills can't get a "break" with reciever injuries. Mathews chipped his sternum in practice: ouch!
  7. Lewis has played in 7 games; yippie. I never said Kaep was out of the league because of his skin color. I said and restate for clarity, that Ponzy and Biscutt brought Lewis in to make the optics appear better by having an african american arm at qb. Because they have been portayed in the media and by fans as racists. Again, if Lewis is just another camp arm, then why make the move? If he is "insurance" in case Mallet continues to be Mallet, then why not sign Kaep, who is clearly better than Lewis and has said, through his rep, he would take a back up role. This just does not pass the smell test. The timing is wrong, and just continues the bad way this org has handled the whole Kaep situation.
  8. That is if you do not believe the reports that Kaep would only be brought in if the Ravens think Mallet can't get the job done. 7 games played, 5 tds, 4 picks. And he is more than just a camp arm? They are going to trust him over Mallet? Not that Mallet is much better, but please....
  9. This smells like wrotten fish, sorry for going there, but Lewis is no better than Vaughan for the most part except for one glarring difference; skin color. Frankly it is just a camp arm no big deal for me except for the way Biscutt handled the Kaep situation, being called a racist for asking fans approval before signing him..... Come on, you can't fight being called a racist by naming all your black or white friends.... "Get Hard". So what do Biscutt and Ponzy Schemer do? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000829716/article/baltimore-ravens-swap-qbs-add-veteran-thad-lewis Baltimore is swapping West Texas A&M product Dustin Vaughan with journeyman Thad Lewis. Lewis, an undrafted free agent out of Duke in 2010, last played with the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. Lewis last appeared in an NFL game back in 2013 with the Buffalo Bills. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported earlier that Baltimore would only turn to Kaepernick if the team believed it needed an upgrade over Mallett.
  10. Move Urban to tight end, let Boyle play guard. Ponzy Schemer to the rescue!
  11. Zutah, really? Do we really need any more proof that this front office needs to be gutted?
  12. Man, I had high hopes for White. Lewis is another loss on a thin line that was weak to begin with. Screw it, sit Flacco, tank the season, play for the top draft pick...
  13. Love the moves the Bills have made.
  14. Yeah but he can't stay healthy, those foot injuries are career shortening.
  15. Brent Urban looked like a beast out there, power, speed, great awareness. They need to lock him up quickly, blocks field goals, can play any position on the line...
  16. Plus a 3rd round pick next year, Iggles get cb Ronald Darby. Wow, loved Mathews out of college he has done nothing but get better each year. 2nd last hear on the team in receptions, first the year before.
  17. + a 6th round pick next year from Bills. Bills get cb EJ Gaines and a 2nd round pick next year.
  18. No charges, no real evidence, his behavior has been suspect with pulling that young lady's top down but even she did not press charges. This should be interesting, I would have to venture a guess & say they go under the personal conduct policy, give him 6, settle, after his appeal for 4 games. Pulling that top down and bar fights are not a good look whether charges were filed or not. The internet has changed many things, one of them may be how the league views young men under NFL contracts act in public, law breaking or not. They have a long standing policy about not putting the league in a bad light.
  19. According to Shefty on Espn right now. Not sure how long, but and I quote; "to be more severe than expectations". From 1- 6 games pending how they "look" or rule his actions; domestic violence or personal conduct.
  20. Recievers still running the wrong routes. Qb and receivers still not seeing the defense the same. Guys jumping on the pile as the play is ending, a penalty waiting to happen. Can't really judge the line, they moved them around a lot. But Jensen got a lot of plays, over powered often, missed several blocks against the first team starters. Yes, the defensive line is deep, hungry and, young! But the Skins looked like they did not want to play or were not ready. First preseason game, all out blitzes really helped to exploit, surprise a first preseason game team. All that time in Skins territory, only 10 pts in the first half, 3 of them on a 59 yard field goal; aint good. No real injuries right? That would be the best news.
  21. So if Mallet really bombs tonight, I wonder if they pull the trigger on Kaep?
  22. Not this time, you were trying to link to an article about the damage Flacco's salary is and will do to the Ravens, instead you linked to an article debunking the aforementioned article.... Just click the very first link in that post for evidence, I posted a few paragraphs from your debunking link.... (think I figured out the communication break down)
  23. Stop giving me nightmares....
  24. 1) link to the proper article 2) most people just want a paragraph so they can decide whether or not to click a link.
  25. Plenty of room to add another player who may get cut later this summer..
