6th round pick next year for tampering last year and fined them $250k, Andy Reid fined $75 k and general manager John Dorsey $25k. Apparently it delt with Maclin improperly. Per espn just now.

I watched him a ton. The only times he looked top 10 worthy were against lesser opponents. Sure he can fire off the ball, but he struggles to find people to block on the 2nd level. Quick feet are nice but his base is too narrow, he waits too long to engage in pass sets. He struggles with both bull rushers and speed rushers. He is a 3 year project Before he is ready to start and be a solid left tackle. You don't draft that type of player with the 6th pick.

Desperation is 2nd round tendering a young tight end who has not played a snap in the NFL. I liked Watson way back when he was young. Now, smells like a Dallas Clarke type move.

Rumor mill says maybe. They are also looking at Mike Wallace and Pacman Jones.... Oy And Beachum

Brock Osweiler got 4 years, $72 mil, $37 mil guaranteed, $18 mil per season for 7 career starts. Bradford got $22 mil guaranteed $17.5 mil per season. Figure Fitzpatrick is going to get similar numbers, tell me, what have these guys done in the regular season or in the post season playing with better offensive talent than the Ravens have? Yes

Stanley is not a top 10 tackle. If they take him there, they will rue the day. I am not sure he will be a good left tackle or tackle for that matter. He may be better suited to guard in the NFL. You don't take a guard in the top 10, you don't even take a right tackle in the top 10 unless you have a left handed quarterback.... Monroe is not the answer, I said it when they signed him, I will stick to it; he can't stay healthy and he is not strong at the point of attack. KO may not be a great left tackle, not worth 60 mil over 5 years, but now, they have no left tackle unless some one steps up their play from last year. I still have hope for Hurst, maybe he makes that move.

Tight end Ben Watson a Raven now... Big whoops

The Ravens couldnt do 5 years 60 mil?????? Really? Cheap sob's.
-
The Rams don't need him, I highly doubt they take him, Jax on the othdr hand...
-
Yeah I like Orr, he is coming a long, slowly, but he has improved with every chance they give him. He has the speed and quickness to cover, tackles well, and is improving on his blitzes.
-
Bingo, well said. I will add, the best part of Mosely's game is blitzing, so you wouldn't want to take that away from his game. I doubt the Ravens take him, they have more pressing needs.
-
It is a good deal. Sure, six mil this year but 13 mil over the next two. So almost 20 mil over three years saved. That is outstanding. Remember, that is based on this year's cap number, the cap will go up each year. Also under the new cap rules, they have fo use up most of it each year. You can do a lot with almost 20 mil over the next three years. They should be able to sign Kelechi now and better.

Ravens targeting Alexander, CB,H in 2d round?
tsylvester replied to TBird's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Yes, he has a higher ceiling than Bosa, he would take a bit to mature, but he looks to be a star with the right coaching and the Ravens, along the defensive line and backers, have said coaching. -
Ravens targeting Alexander, CB,H in 2d round?
tsylvester replied to TBird's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I don't think he is athletic enough to make the switch. Even in the Ravens current defense, he would be asked to peel off and cover the flat at times to disguise a blitz, and I doubt he can do that effectively. to me, he is a one position player. I know, I know, he played inside at times with OSU, but NFL guards are not college scrubs, I don't think he will fair well in the NFL inside either. to me, he appears to be a rush end only, the big question I have is if he can hold up the end on running plays... -
Ravens targeting Alexander, CB,H in 2d round?
tsylvester replied to TBird's topic in Baltimore Ravens
For the ends, the 40 time means nothing. As TC posted the cone times, those are the keys, how quickly can they get off the ball, and get around the end. Short shuttles & cone drills are the best determining factors/drills for certain positions, for measuring explosiveness. Watts weight at the combine helped him greatly. He was able to add strength, get used to playing at that weight so his legs got stronger while he dropped to his natural weight. Bosa, 60's for weight is fine if he has the strength, frankly, he beat some bad right tackles to pile up his numbers. This past year teams chipped him and his numbers went down dramatically; not good. -
Ravens targeting Alexander, CB,H in 2d round?
tsylvester replied to TBird's topic in Baltimore Ravens
He is a play maker ready to pop open when he hits the pros. However, he relied a lot on his athleticism in college to get back into position. Also, he did not face the best offenses and had a great team of defenders to help pressure quarterbacks, make them more predictable. As much as a great pick he COULD be, he is one of them that could be the biggest bust in the draft. For that matter, same for Bosa, I am not very high on him as most are, I hope the Ravens don't take him at 6..... -
Yeah, he had more drops than one would like because he is not a natural hand catcher. However, unlike Torrey, Fuller tracks the deep ball very well and wins the match up on 50-50 balls more than not. He also has the quicks, the wiggle Smith does not have making rac very very well. Doctson dos it all well, but he rarely faced press coverage, so that is the biggest question on him. His wrist injury is clearly well behind him.
-
Roto world is wrong on many levels, just one of the is his height & weight. Way wrong on his skill set.
-
He and Fuller were so smooth in the gauntlet drill, made it look very easy. I would be very pleased with either of them in the 2nd.
-
Doctson ran a 4.54 forty, Fuller just ran a 4.33 both play up to or faster than their times.....
-
Rams released Chris Long and James Laurinaitis. Both excellent players. Laurinaitis at 29 going on 30 later in the year can still play. Long, great edge rusher, doesn't hold the edge that well, but he too would be a great pick up. Price, as always, would be key.
-
Well, since he did it again, I guess maybe it was "bad".... plenty of tight ends out there like him, kick him to the curb.
-
Yes, he is on a long list of players who chased the money, only to regret it. He like many pundits, thought Kap was the real deal, was about to take off. Now, it appears there is going to be a qb rotation for the next few years and lots of losing.
