  1. First game Sept 11 http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2016/REG/RAVENS
  2. Irony? They fleeced the Redskins in the RGIII trade, even boasting how they got the better deal. A few years later, they get fleeced... Now, I think Goff, if he is the pick, will be a stud if given the right coaching... However, Fisher has not shown he has patience with young quarterbacks.... Either way, this may monkey up the entire draft..
  3. Browns are looking to move down, presumably with a team looking to get a qb. However, if the Rams take said qb, would a team still move up to 2? Would the Browns still take a qb at 2 if the Rams take one at 1. But yes, you take Tunsil at 6 if he is there but I just can't see him lasting to 6 even with the question marks on him if he doesn't go one. What is still possible is the Ravens moving back, maybe even more so now, and landing Lee at 13, 18...
  4. Trade up to one with the Titans. The Rams get the Titan's pick in the 4th & 6th round. They give the Titans their; 2 seconds, and a third this year PLUS, a 1st and 3rd next year.
  5. He tested positive for pot again and over diluted urine on the latest test per ESPN. What a waste of great talent and he is reportedly rooming with Manzel... Oy
  6. I am not surprised and I suppose this could have gone in any one of the retired young players thread, but I thought it deserved its own thread. I would really like to see them test people who played sports throughout their lives but never at the NFL level. Those who have had concussions from anything, to see if they can determine how many it will take until these sysptoms, this disease, takes hold. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/04/12/40-percent-of-former-nfl-players-suffer-from-brain-damage-new-study-shows/
  7. No, taking him makes no sense, and would be brainless if they did... running backs are a dime a dozen, costly if you want to keep the top back for a decade, if they last that long..... more needs far more pressing,,,
  8. Great players do not always make good coaches, let alone great coaches. So many examples to pick from, the most obvious, Nike Singleterry. People, players get tired of the rah-rah hominids. If he can coach, great, if not it would not bother me if he did not coach. He stinks on Espn, he needs to go for sure.
  9. http://abcnews.go.com/US/super-bowl-winner-smith-shot-killed-orleans-suspect/story?id=38285569 Over words, after a traffic accident, minor. Such a shame for all incolved.
  10. Nah, a player retires, the money is no longer guaranteed. People forget, it is only now, the past few years that high schools are tracking concussions. Most of the players in the game have had many more before even reaching college, they just either never knew the symptoms or did not care. It is not just football either, soccer, cheer leading (which actually leads in concussions) wrestling..... You don't have to gt hit to get a concussion, the brain sits in liquid, go fast, stop fast, that brain goes boom against the skull.... Minor bruising to major bruising still equals concussion. Symptoms are slight to major, but usually always include a head ache to some degree. The big question for doctors & researches is; how many concussions does it take for CTE to form?
  11. Excellent read an analysis.
  12. why does it skip from pick 5 to pick 8? does it happen to any one else?
  13. Boy that would be tempting, but they need too many positions and there are many very good players in the draft at the positions the team needs.... I would think they pass on trading up. Maybe they trade back into the late first to nab Joseph is they think he won't make it to the 5th pick in the 2nd... While Ramsey is clearly the better, Joseph should be an excellent safety in his own right.
  14. If Perriman is healthy, I expect to see him get plenty of playing time....
  15. http://m.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-2016-Preseason-Schedule-Announced-/2915f4e3-c743-4132-b5d0-115afb3e1d0b Some "good" match ups.
  16. The Chargers are the only team I think could take him before the Ravens. Everything might change if the first pick does get traded. . To have a real cover linebacker would be awesome.
  17. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/04/08/sports/football/aj-tarpley-buffalo-bills-retires-concussion.html?_r=0&referer= Says after his 4th concussion, enough is enough going forward. He signed as an undrafted free agent, 3 years $1.575 mil deal. I can't say I blame these guys, shoot I had four concussions in highschool and never missed a game, let a lone a snap. Three more since then and at 50, I forget things just by leaving a room.
  18. It is a good read on him. He is correct, the writer went to far even mentioning, I am sure in jest, thr comparison to Lewis. Yes, I would love to see the young man here.... http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/pete-prisco/25544766/nfl-draft-why-myles-jack-might-be-an-even-faster-version-of-ray-lewis
  19. Thomas likely wont got before the fifth, maybe even thr 6th. If not for who his uncle is, he might not get drafted. Slow, not quick, can't run routes properly especially against press coverage and for some one so big, he has a small catch radius. Garret, I would be surprised if he gets drafted. There are so many better options out there, but given his connections to the NFL, I am sure he will get a chance.
  20. Yes, all most as important as the 96 draft. I do think there is excellent talent in the first 3 even four rounds. If they can get Buckner and Joseph (safety from WVA) that will set this defense up for a long time. They can find very good offensive line talent that just needs coaching and a little time in the 3rd & 4th rounds. Take a flyer on a wide out in the 4th (2 picks) like a Pharoh Cooper (SC), Sterling Sheppard (Ok), or Geronimo Allison (IU), Kolby Listenbee (TCU)
  21. I agree. Buckner fits the defense better, while they don't currently need another big body, Brandon Williams may walk next year and Buckner can play anywhere along the line. He can also get after the passer. Jack would be great, but not likely to be there. If I had my druthers, they would trade back to 15 or so, get an extra 3rd plus, and draft Lee in the first.
  22. Yeah, I am not buying it. While I am sure he can make the transition, I think they go Ramsey there...
  23. The Chargers are thinking of taking him at 3 and making him, Jack, a strong safety...
  24. Jack is a flat out stud. He is a great wil, reads the plays quickly, nasty hitter, cover skills, mauls would-be blockers. I do believe he can play in both the 3-4 and 4-3 or any morphing defense. If the Ravens had a shot at him at 6, that would be the steal of the draft. Yes, he would be a great fit for this team Both he and Lee are great leaders and either would work well with Mosley, though I think Lee would be a better mik so maybe they could move Mosley over to the wil.
  25. but the Ravens have neither and the only "stud" corner will likely be gone at 6, & 6 is too high for Hargraves. There is some good talent at corner later in the draft, they just need the coaching, which the Ravens now have, and time.
