  1. Perriman, Aiken, Treadwell would be a great 3 wide, with Smith to go four; wowza.....
  2. Monroe has had issues with injuries since he cam into the league... Another Ozzie fail.......... Next man up..........
  3. Take a gander at Sterling Sheppard right now. I've been skeptical of him, but he is showing me something tonight with his adjustments to the ball. My biggest issue was health and his size, but I think he will be a great slot player in the NFL.
  4. Per ESPN just now.... hmmmmmm
  5. I would rather he come back as a coach, receivers, than a player. You can see his influence in the way Aiken plays, in his improvement over the past two seasons.....
  6. Tough question, I am not in the proverbial loop any longer but I would look to New England first, a fresh face who has been in their org for a while Nick Caserio. He heads up their pro and college scouting departments. Yes, they could stay in house with George, who has been talked about for years every time the thought of Ozzie retiring comes up. But my reasoning for going outside the org is that you get a fresh look at players, especially the positions this organization has struggled with over the years.
  7. I said last year Ozzie should retire. Frankly, after the Super Bowl win I was sure he would retire. But here we sit with him still in charge. Unless you are the Eagles and Chip Kelly is your coach/Gm, your team doesn't get terrible over night. He has missed on difference making players the last five years. Even the Dummervil signing, looked good at first, but he has always run out of steam later in games, later in seasons. Over paid no matter what his sack number appear to be.... I think Ozzie needs to retire. He has been the constant here for no drafted wide outs ever making in the NFL, let alone this team. While I agree with the reason for, but for Elvis, not bringing him in, but by not building a line to protect him. Everyone knew Elvis is a pocket passer, what did Ozzie do? He over paid for a lineman who; had injuries history, drug history and what happens? Searcey gets hurt and popped for PED's.... Yes, he has gathered enough talent to win two Super Bowls; one with an incredible defense and a lot of luck, the other in a league that right now is terrible talent wise. Add in a revolving door at the OC position, you wonder why player talent on offense has been inconsistent. Harbs has a nice record, suffered through major injuries, yes. But his game management is terrible. Use of time outs, replay challenges, play choices to go for it, to kick, to fake. At this point though, the organization has to decide; are they going to be an org that dumps their head coach every 8 years, or most like the Stillers & Pats who keeps him? He is a good coach, worth keeping in my mind, he just needs to make some changes....
  8. He is serviceable, but no, I am not a big fan. Now, I don't know all the schemes, and yes, he has done a very good job trying to work in that secondary, all the players they went through and trying to build chemistry, trust back there, almost impossible. However, he has often APPEARED to be out of position, late to get over, poor in coming up to make a tackle the first time... I've seen lists that don't have him in the top 10 for NFL free safeties, others do... eh... I think they can do better, I know they won't, wouldn't mid Eric Weddle coming over as a free agent, but they have a good some tied up in Hill...
  9. Pees would be gone. Even with a healthy, "talented" defense, it was not very good when the team needed it most. Some can be blamed on player, but a coach's job is to use them properly, to put them in positions to succeed. He has shown not to be able to do this over his time here. I don't know the inner workings, but who ever has been scouting/deciding which players to target in the secondary over the past five years needs to go and I am sure Pees has had a say in it. Who ever has been deciding/scouting wide outs over the past 20 years needs to go too.... Now that may change once the rookie gets healthy and we see what he can do next year. Still, even if he works out, one wide out in 20 years is terrible. Some can be blamed on coaching, but the coaches on offense have changed over that time frame, have the scouts? I give Tresman a pass this year, even though I don't think he is very good. Injuries and no true play makers are not his fault, he had to to what he could with what he had.
  10. See Billick............
  11. If the Stiller miss the playoffs again, this will be the fourth time in his 9 year career. Yes, he has a Super Bowl win, an AFC championship appearance, but they are 5-4 in the playoffs under him.... makes ya wonder I know the Stillers hate changing coaches and he is a good one, but.............
  12. Shocking, the defense finished the game instead of costing a win. Depth? Eh, maybe, flash in the pans happen every year and while the Ravens played hard (possibly saving Harb's job), the Stillers simply came out flat, over confident and their secondary has been an issue all year. Still, the receivers made some gains all season. Aiken has earned a real contract, 3- 5 years. He has really turned into a very good possession receiver. I look forward to watching him grow with this team next year. Other than that, who knows at this point. The running backs are certainly settled, Allen is a force and West has done some nice things as well. Defense, other than the line, there is no rue heart of the defense who can make plays consistently. He should be found in the draft. Sharise Wright was what most expected, good one play, great another, good one game, not so good another game. He has yet, in his short career, to play consistently over the course of a season, that is why he is on the Ravens....... Maybe he is turn the corner on his team, maybe not... This team still has no safeties, no real inside backers. Smith is really showing his age, y'all know how I feel about Mosely and Orr is a good tackler, but like Mosely, he can't cover, neither plays well in zone either.... The Ravens thought they had some depth going into this season and while no team can expect to win with so many players being on IR, they vastly over rated players going into this season. I don't want to hear about how many game were close, this team is far from dangerous even when healthy.
  13. We saw the bad Mallet at the end of the first half and in the middle of the 2nd half, as the announcers said, poor UUUUU! But he made two big throws that made the win possible one to UUUUUUUUU, the other to Givens.... He will be an expensive back up next year, if he wants to stay.... But, who cares, the Stillers were swept, and maybe knocked out of the playoffs.... great Christmas present....
  14. League wide the game is terrible, I can only take so much of it now. add in all the commercial breaks now adays, and no way I watch a terrible game....
  15. Call me what you want, I may peak in a few times, but no, I would not go to this game were I paid to go, nor watch this game. I expect a game similiar if not worse than the Seattle game....
  16. I love Dotson, not as a first round pick love though. The guy knows how to get open against any coverage, runs precise routes and in a timely manner. He has big strong hands and fights for the ball when needed. A hands catcher with deceiving speed, quick of foot. I don't see him as a number one at the next level, but as an excellent 2 who will make big plays in the NFL. Yes, Corey Coleman, a smaller guy who just gets it. He out runs people when he is just standing still. I look forward to seeing his 40 times and cone drills to see just how quick he actually is, man can he jitter bug. If they get him, Camp would be gone. He can take over the slot, the end around runs where he is very dangerous. He can return punts with very dependable hands and judgement. More dependable than Clayton, more durable than Cooks, but very similar to him. I would take Coleman over either of those two. Like Dotson, not a first round pick from the Ravens stand point, but if either of those guys are there in the second and the Ravens haven't gone wideout in the first, I would take one of those two there. For me, a draft where the first two picks are Ramsey/Hargraves in 1 and Dotson/Coleman in 2 would be a great day, a win for sure. Don't get too hard on Hargreaves. I told you earlier this year in the college forum, Bama has done it again with a receiver. Ridely is going to be the best receiver in college football over the next two years. He is smooth, fast, quick, great hands & body control. He will be better than Cooper, if he had a decent quarterback, he would have the stats to show he is almost better than him now. Ridley is special good. Add to that Hargreaves was under so much pressure in that game what with no, litterally, no offense, watching his team fall a part after their leader got suspended. I think he was pressing too hard, a good lesson for him. He too can play safety, he will be a great player in the NFL.
  17. Yes, I mentioned him on another thread, this one was about those who are playing now. They want him to return punts because of his quickness, his "wiggle", ability to make people, mostly, the first guy miss. But as we all know now, he is just snake bit.
  18. You & I are both high on Treadwell, he is just what the Ravens need. They have speed with the rookie and Givens if he stays. They have quickness is Camp can stay healthy. But Tredwell is that big body, great hands wide out who can run any route well, and muscle for the 50-50 ball They currently don't have that receiver, aside from the emerging Aiken. As many of solid defensive line man there are in the draft and the Ravens ability to get free agent, low round picks at that position to play very well, using the first round pick on one to me, would not be an option, nor a need. I would love to get Ramsey, they need a safety as well as corners and he can play both very well. He would be a great first round pick. Great find.
  19. Well, they have receivers they need to see which ones stay & which ones go. You can't do that with out game tape & with out a quarterback who can throw the ball. We know the rookie stays, Aiken stays, he just needs to bulk up a bit, get stronger. His attitude in catching the ball is fantastic; a Boldin like receiver. But who else? butler is Harb's favorite, but hanging onto the ball, running proper routes, staying on his route are issues. Marlon Brown, sadly, he is likely gone given how little playing time he has gotten as the season went on. Givens??? Terrible routes, but speed & hands are solid. Mathews? Is he just a fill in or will his toughness and good hands help him stick around? Dan Brown, does he stay? tall, big body, great hands but no speed and we all know white man can't jump....
  20. You would be wise to start them. The west coast team traveling won't help the Ravens this time. I think 15 pts fantasy wise, is very likely for their defense.
  21. I start Max, either way this team is getting shut out, blown out, but at least Max would make it funny as he ran backward for the seahawks 10th safety in the game...
  22. Tucker blew another game.....
  23. Butler has issues hanging onto the ball. His routes are not that great, but yes, he gives great effort, has some speed and is tough. He is a back up at best, 4th or 5th on normal teams....
  24. I know the players want grass, but this is the dumbest thing I have heard from the team since they built that stupid stadium. They are going to "try and use grass, bring in fake sun light and see if it works".... If not, then go back to artificial grass? We know they can't grow grass there because of the way the stadium is built. Resodding every few months only leads to more injuries, why? Because players slip on the new sod, it gives way because it doesn't have time to root in properly. The idiot who designed the stadium, and the stadium authority who approved the design are why they can't grow grass there, they were warned, told, erged to turn the stadium, but nooooooo............ A waste of money that I am sure will be passed on to the fans...
  25. http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/12/04/nfl-salary-cap-2016-season-projected-rise That is not a hole lot, but should be plenty enough for the Ravens to menuver.
