It'll be an interesting game. This team will always be Jekyll/Hyde with offense. The closest thing to a walk in the park Ravens fans know would be having a 10 point lead and holding it for the 4th quarter. The defense still scares me. How long can they keep up the intensity/passion? When will the injuries start piling up?

Play calling was great the 1st half IMO. They had aggression and attacked deep. Then the 2nd half kicked in and they went all Cavenaugh. Case in point... the 4th down play (I know West was held) you basically take all your WRs and TEs and render them useless and place the fate of the down on your QB and RB. On another play they do a bubble screen to Steve Smith. I know the guy is tough and fights but he's easily your slowest WR and coming off an injury. Joe never seems comfortable in Shotgun and he seemed in it 90% of the game. The Oline has lost its toughness in exchange for Castillos finesse zone run.

Give it time...

I think the team did the right thing signing a vet. The alternative was Camp who was injury and fumble prone which is a really bad combination. IMO that final preseason game absolutely killed his Ravens career.

8-8 too many questions on defense. Weddle was quoted as saying he needs to have a great game every game for the D to succeed. I think the young pass rushers will develop nicely over the next 3 seasons but this year will be raw. The O will keep us in games but I have little faith in Pees bend don't break philosophy.

I'd have offered Mallett for a #2 and a possible #3

Weddle was mic'd for the practice and Pitta made some plays on him. He looked real good on a double move which faked Weddle out. IF he stays healthy our TE corps could be real nasty with PItta,Watson,Maxx, Gillmore,Waller, and even the suspended Boyle.

I doubt the DBs are going %100 on the WRs. My guess is you wont be able to tell till mid preseason how soft they are.

The defense scares me. Weddle may play lights out and bring back the psychical swagger of yesteryear, but who knows. This team has the potential to be great, with lots of young talent. If health they can compete on offense, and if the drafted pass rushers can get in there they'll do ok. I have little faith in the secondary, they got tore up due to lack of pressure which is why Ozzie drafted high on the DL.

Too many questions going into the season. 1) Our WR corps... An elderly SSR... Wallace failing his condition test.... Perriman need I say more... Camp whos a slighly less injured Perriman 2) Weddle is a great player but who knows how much gas he has in the tank... Is Webb going to be a decent safety 3) I'm not sold on our left side oline 4) Suggs and Doom aren't getting any younger IMO I'll be surprised if the team goes 8-8.
