This Ray Rice debacle has become quite the tar baby and circus show. The resulting karma could really derail our season and set this franchise back if the powers that be don't quickly nip this in the bud. Thank God we have the Orioles in the post season this fall. What an irony!

Its a real comforting and a definite paradigm shift from a decade ago. Its also nice to know both The Yankees and Bosox are both looking up the Os.

Tough loss but the better team won. We just made it interesting at the end. Joe looked lost and lacked poise at critical points in game. Missed assignments on D, especially on Green gaffe, don't happen to disciplined teams. Ever. The lack of past D leaders - like Ray and Reed - cannot be overstated. Don't see a single 1 that fits the bill, not after 1 game. It's only 1 game but this has the look of a very, very long season. I guess this offense isn't so scary after all and we must have forgotten how to take the other kids lunch - as commented by S Smith Sr. Pittsburgh didn't look much better in their W - after blowing a 24 pt lead. Still, Ben will be slinging it around the yard Thursday night and Joe had better get his collective crap together if he wants to even make a game out of it.

Os got in cruise control in Tampa courtesy of some shoddy D and 0 hitting. Time to wake up tomorrow boys !!!

Keepin' the foot on the gas pedal !!!!

Awesome ! I can't recall the last complete game shutout by an Os starter but it was a thing of beauty

Good point . On paper (and in my gut) my unbiased view tells me Cincy has a more talented squad on both sides of the ball so conventional wisdom says they win. Will they ? Who the hell knows; anything's possible. My unbiased two cents .

With all due respect to Max, Crav, etc, I am inclined to agree with Force on this one. Our secondary, esp the CBs, give me the damn shakes. I think Dalton, Green and Co go off big time,, Joe throws a pick or two early and climbs in a hole the rest of the game. Don't feel good about team right now and expect a 10-14 point loss. I hope I am dead wrong but not feeling it this Sunday.

Agreed but we need to take care of our own stuff - getting Pearce and Hardy healthy, working out the kinks with lineup and pitching staff, finishing the season on a strong note. The rest will take care of itself.
-
And with a CB challenged D, we will be giving up boatloads of yards and points, starting next Sunday. Andy Dalton and AJ Green must be licking their chops.

Yet another tonight !

Just a guess: who is Raven defensive MVP this year?
varaven45 replied to Tornado700's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I like the Team D idea but hoping Mosley has a monster year and becomes a future leader. -
Another nail !

But I'll bet he be jammin'

That was a nice rebound and the bats really came around eh ? Just one night though . Runs will be at a premium tonight vs Cobb. He's in a groove right now. Chen must be on tonight to keep us in the game.
-
Cleetz, We will soon find out about the true character of this team. I suppose you could view tonight's opener vs. Tampa as a rite of passage.
-
Okay so was the meltdown during the Cubs series an aberration or a harbinger of things to come ? I guess we'll find out tonight eh .
-
IDK but hopefully our last. Hopefully, Buck and Co put this hangover series behind us, return to Baltimore, and resume playing the game of baseball.

Our O line and the Skins got worked last night. A couple of failed 3rd/4th and <1 yd is all you need to know. We were back to passing on 3rd and 1, knowing we couldn't convert via the run. Granted both Rice and Pierce were out. Still, this a very disturbing trend going into the season and against the AFCN. Sugar coat it if you like, but this team and the O line/running game have a ways to go. Not sure if there's been enough improvement to compete in AFCN. We'll find out in 2 weeks.

Except for when you lose to the bottom feeding Cubs with 1 count it - 1 hit - today. That's about the most pathetic, listless effort I've seen all year.

Yep. It's another lackluster weekend in the Midwest; time to get the heck out if dodge and come back home. Damn ugly series; damn ugly
-
Dang ! Talk about Black Friday Lose to cubbies then Machado . Man !!!!!
-
I wonder if Tomlin might start referring to Bell and Blount as the Doobie Brothers
-
Man, who opened and relieved today for Cubs; Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson ? Don't recall seeing that from Arrieta and Strop while in an Os uniform. I guess paybacks are hell and when you are on last place team, you can let it all hang out eh ! The start of this series is beginning to feel like last weekend in Cleveland. Let's get our act together guys
