You don't actually say or stand for anything. You just change your story. No one respects your opinion because you're not even sure you have one.

Flacco is poised for his best season ever. Rice is locked up in his prime. We return 4 of 5 lineman and appear to have capable back ups for Center and Guard. We have two really good TE's and 2 really good WRs. We have 3 WR's with tremendous potential that I believe could fill the #2 and #3 spots if needed. We have the best fullback int he NFL. We have the best DT in the NFL. We have another mammoth DT, 3 young but incredibly talented outside LB's. We have three CB's on this team that could start for virtually any other team in the NFL. We have a legend at Safety with two capable back ups. Yes, this team has no potential. (This is sarcasm since you have trouble picking that up) There is little to look forward to. (Once again sarcasm) I'm sorry, the sky really is falling, I'm not sure what I was thinking. (Again....just in case, sarcasm) I think that I assumed with 4 straight playoff appearances and a offense poised to tip the scales, this team would be better than ever. Once again.....you're wrong. Every team in the NFL has weaknesses. We have very few.....and the ones we do have we can cover. You're misconception is that a great team has no weakness. That's false. The Giants certainly had weaknesses and they won the Super Bowl. In any case, you know you're a Steelers fan, why do you continue to deny it? Every chance you get you attempt to debunk something this team is doing. You look for something broke, but really there is nothing to fix. This team has been very successful the past 4 years and there's nothing (barring major injuries) to indicate that they will not continue to be successful. Even if the run defense is not as good as years past, I say so what? The offense is going to be light years better and our pass defense should be lights out with our CBs and pass rushing capability. If Flacco makes the opposing team 1 dimensional I could care less where our rush defense is at.

No doubt give it up, this is possibly the deepest team I have ever witnessed as a Ravens fan. It may be the deepest team in the NFL. (Maybe) And here we have someone predicting doom and gloom around every corner. The Pats couldn't stop the run last year, they got to the Super Bowl. Hell, they were a dropped pass from winning it, but I'm sure it was their inability to stop the run that caused Welker to drop that pass. Based on everything we have seen this pre-season there's no reason to think we will not be able to overcome weaknesses. Every team has weaknesses and will continue to have weaknesses. The good teams make sure that their strengths overcome their weaknesses. In that regard we are doing very well. 4 straight trips to the playoffs with a win in each playoff. We're moving in the right direction. Chick Little has no place here.

Preston often looks for a story where there isn't one. With Ngata, Cody, McClain, and Lewis, things will be fine, health being a factor of course. I don't see Preston making any evaluation of Ngata's muscle contusion last year. It's clear that he drastically whore down and wasn't as effective as a result. And......on top of it.....despite the rushing yards allowed.......we WON games. This is a deep team that can win games and overcome adversity when one part of the team fails. There is no reason to doubt this teams ability to stop the run. None whatsoever. This team is deep and has pride. They will do just fine.

What is this guy's point? Why is he arguing that one day are D won't be this good? Well duh, doesn't take Nostradamous to know that eventually we won't be great at D. However there is nothing right now in the works that would indicate that we won't continue to be successful on d. Papa should change his screenname to Chicken Little.

Maybe he's used his money well and he's financially secure. There's a former Stanley Cup hockey player that lives in the town I grew up in. He's absolutely living the dream and I know he didn't make a killing. I think he's invested wisely and he's living within his means. My guess is that he'd be able to continue to live like this without working for a very long time. Small town, low taxes, the guy has it made. Although, I think he's still playing hockey overseas.

The sky is falling.

Its unfortunate things didnt go better for Kyle. Hes a good man. Rarely complained or made excuses. He can lay his head down at night knowing he maxed his potential. He just wasnt good eniugh. No shame in that. I wonder if he will become a firefighter like the rest of his family. Good luck to you Kyle.

I was pretty sure it was something explainable. I like Harbaugh's stance. Keep it quiet, let the man deal with his issues, but lay down expectations. Its fair.
-
I dont recall a Ravens team this deep ever. This team is as prepared as they ever have been to launch a seriees of Super Bowl runs.
-
Crav with these pass happy offenses I think you're gonna see alot more of the nickel passages. These guys are gonna be complementing each other all year!
-
This team is gonna be special special special!!!!!!! If Kindle can capture his potential this could be unbelievable.
-
If this defense was so inept last year and not very good, why did Brady struggle so badly? Oh that's right......everyone can have a bad game. Weird how these guys are human. This guy is a joke.
-
We've seen this from Harbaugh before. Sometimes it works and it lights a fire under the player. Sometimes the player shrinks in the face of the challenge and fades away. (McCallister) I personally hope that McKinnie steps up. However, from what I've seen Harbaugh always fields the best players to win.

With the #2 rushing defense in the league I would say that Ray is still doing plenty of pushing. lol Sometimes. I suppose Brady's arm isn't looking good because he didn't set the all time passing record again.
-
I really think it's a brilliant idea. He really looked slow a few times last year. If this can gain him half a step or two it could make a big difference. I also agree that with our current D Line, this was a wise move on Ray's part.
-
Ray is simply amazing. This guy has such a passion and he's afraid of very little in terms of football. The only other guy around that has this much passion for a game is Kobe Bryant. Kobe learns to shoot when he tore a ligament in his shooting hand. Ray learns to get lighter and quicker to match-up with pass happy offenses. I love it, old dog changing with the times. These two guys, their competitive fire is just unmatched. It's really something to watch.

Ravens/Pats ACF Championship game on at 1 today
yagersports replied to vmax's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I really thought that might have been a catch myself. I figured I was just had the ole purple glasses on. At any rate, the CB didn't hit Evans hard, the ball should of been secured. -
Going to Baltimore to see a Ravens game was hands down the best sporting event I've ever been to. Simply outstanding. Most of all, there weren't a bunch of moronic fans running around looking to pick a fight. It was a great time.
-
Exactly! AJ wasn't getting his Bombs on, and I don't think it was because he was hurt. Just my thoughts.
-
Every division has a bad egg lol :-). I just don't see how a division featuring the Ravens and Steelers isn't considered the best in the NFL. The playoff streak between these two teams is insane. The NFC south has had one team win a playoff game in the past 5 years. The same with the NFC north. Multiple Super Bowl winners and playoff game winners have come out of the NFC East and AFC North. I just doesn't make sense in my opinion. I would venture to say the NFC West is stronger than the NFC South. Cardinals, Seahawks, and Niners have all won playoff games, and two of the teams have made it to the Super Bowl. What criteria are these guys using? The Falcons can't buy an important win. The Panthers haven't been relevant since Belichek was cheating for Super Bowls lol. Yes the Saints are good, but that's one team. I suppose it's a tough question to answer because the NFL is by far the most balanced sporting franchise in the world.
-
I could be wrong, I just see some similarities. Both were well thought of as rooks and both lit it up their first year. Both however had trouble producing once they were figured out. Now if AJ was injured that's one thing, but his production dropped off considerably. We'll have to see if he avoids the one hit wonder issue alot of rookies go through.
-
Wow, the two toughest divisions are clearly the AFC North and the NFC East. I don't care what anyone says, the NFC East teams beat the hell out of each other. I'll agree the NFC North is a tough division as well, but the NFC South? Who are they kidding?
-
AJ Green reminds me of Michael Clayton, of the Bucs, not the Phins.
-
Nail on the head Crav, and Torrey played through a hernia and still didn't hit a wall. AJ Green is good, but there's a whole lot more to prove before he's ranked that high in the North. I personally think Torrey Smith will be the best WR in the North this year.
