  1. Funny that this was posted. My girlfriend is a bartender and I went to pick her up last night. I live in upstate NY so it's Bill's country up here. This one dude that I've never seen before was unbelievably trashed. Him and his buddies were talking trash (innocently, it was all in good fun) to my girl and she was giving it right back. There was 5 of em. She kept asking when the last time the Bills went to the playoffs, when they won a Super Bowl, and she kept asking who their QB was and acted like she never heard of him. I was hysterical, absolutely hysterical. So one guy finally grew a pair of nuts and says, I guarantee that the Bills go farther than the Ravens in the playoffs.....he paused....and then said, no I'll do you one better, I guarantee the Ravens won't even make the playoffs! His buddies got all quiet and he looked around for support and they were like, I'm not so sure about that! lol My girl took the bet so quick it would make your head spin. It was awesome! She knew here stuff and she worked em.
  2. Do some research about Civil vs. Criminal court cases. After that you should be speak more intelligently about the subject. There's a whole slew of things that are different between the two courts and often it's cheaper to pay a settlement than pay the lawyers to prove your innocence. That's a fact.
  3. It's always hard to have to watch guys go through the repeated injuries. He's a warrior on the field with a motor that just doesn't quit. The guy just can't stay healthy.
  4. They should be, they're gonna get paid. Especially if the FO waits until the playoffs, cuz once that happens it's all over, Flacco is gonna be a champion.
  5. What happened to him Crav?
  6. lol, I couldn't resist the opportunity
  7. We should probably trade Flacco and get value for him now. Let's get Tyrod in there this year. We'll draft our QB of the future in the offseason.
  8. Absolutely, the future is now. We're a team of destiny. Give me the Super Bowl or give me......ok, that might be going a bit far lol.
  9. Well said. I can thing of much worse things than a guy saying he loves to be spending time with his family. Like Crav said earlier, that's awesome. Wish more guys felt that way. If it's posturing, then so be it, I think Ed has earned the right to give it go. I don't see him sitting out however, he has several million reasons to play.
  10. Even Warrick Dunn had a long career and ended up with a 1000 yard season pretty late in his career when people said he couldn't do it. The elusive guys with great running instincts last so much longer. Heck, even Holmes, who suffered a devastating injury was able to recover and be productive when he shouldn't have been. It was because he was an all around runner with great vision, hands, feet, and instincts. Those guys make up for loss of speed and power. There's been no indication that Rice won't duplicate similar success. This is not Jamal Lewis. I have no complaint about locking up Rice for 5 years at this stage of the game. It makes sense to have a guy like this on the roster.
  11. Why would we revret a deal for Rice? He is elusive, doesnt take big hits and has great all around instincts. Its not like Peterson or Johnson. Those guys are one dimensional. When pete loses his power he has little to fall back on. When johnson loses his speed likewise. Rice has all around faulk type game.
  12. And even if he's out for longer, with a Vet like Reed, I think we can afford him the time. If Favre can miss all of Training Camp for a completely different team, I'm sure Reed will be just fine. I'm just not worried here, maybe I'm being naive, but I really don't think Ed is something to worry about. He's a professional, and if he's hanging em up. So be it, he's earned it.
  13. More posturing, who gives a hoot lol. If Ed is gonna stay home, he's gonna stay home, we have a deep roster. He's posturing, nothing new. He'll be at work when we need him or we'll move on without him. Let's not give him another thought until he starts making plays on the field.
  14. Once again the FO hits a HR. They always get it done. Love it. Smart, methodical, and patient. That's successful stuff!
  15. He did have pedestrian numbers, but the guy was always battling injuries. He showed his true colors in big games didn't he? I'm going back a ways here, but I remember Simms having some monster games when it mattered most. Am I remembering correctly?
  16. Exactly, civil suits don't require alot of evidence that criminal courts require. It's rather nonsense that you can be guilty in civil court after being absolved in criminal court, but that's our justice system. I just don't respond and argue with those morons Crav. If they actually read anything about proceedings and how courts worked, I guarantee they would make the same decision.
  17. Theismann is a wise wise man. He must have gained this foresight "after" wrestling with LT . It's a good bet, take it to the bank. We are winning it this year!
  18. This is without a doubt Joe's year! Gonna really enjoy what he does. I love when Phil says I dont need your endorsement!
  19. This story has been round and round Crav we dont need to defend it. Both men involved stated Lewis had nothing to do with the fight. All police reports and investigation support this. Those are the facts. Wanna talk about paying off someone look to ole Big Ben.
  20. This kid and Jimmy smith are going to do some special things in this league. In a pass happy league these two are gonna give QBs fits.
  21. Why not, why pass on talent. Ok, let's see what happens.
  22. Bingo, we got a 1st rd cb in the 3rd rd. On top of that he's not a primadonna and I hope he doesn't become one. He's a lot of fun to watch. Papa go find somewhere else to be negative. If you're so damn smart, if you're so much better, why aren't you running things? Cmon man, Webb was passed over by alot of people and we snagged him. He was a good find in the 3rd round. Why argue this? What sense does it make? Know it all's make the best Donkeys.
  23. I love this kid, what a find by the FO. He's so good and such a good dude. Hopefully fame won't go to his head. I think we have a CB trio that is the best in the NFL. Webb, Williams, Smith.....just good good good. Hopefully their coverage will help our pass rush, usually it's the other way around.
  24. It would be a pleasant surprise if this guy stepped up. Personally I'm really hoping that Doss becomes the guy. That guy just never seemed to drop anything. I wouldn't mind Cary Williams either. I really feel like we're really deep at WR, I can't believe it!
  25. Not during mini camp, last I checked that's what training camp is for. Last I checked often times veterans don't need to participate until training camp and there's even a few.....dare I say it....that barely need the camp. If Brett Favre can miss training camp and lead the Vikes to the playoffs I'm pretty sure Mini Camps are a bit overrated.
