Boller is could be coming home lol. Flacco beware hahahahaha. Honestly, as a third QB, does it matter much?
-
Whatever motivates him lol
-
Harbaugh absolutely deserves credit. It's not easy managing egos and keeping everyone moving towards the same goal.

I personally think a center would have the most impact for this team in the first round. I'm tempted with the playmaking ability of safety from Alabama, and I'm always intrigued by pass rushers, but I think the way to go is OL, notably center. It's the best way to improve this team in the first round.

Webb is a very good CB, perhaps one of the best. I'm not sure that sliding him to FS would be a good idea. A CB in MOST cases is far more valuable than a FS. Guys like Reed and Polamalu are obviously exceptions to that rule. However with Webbs ability to shut WRs down, I would think leaving him at CB would pay far bigger dividends.

Wow, I can't believe the Ravens have received this kind of respect. I love it! Thought for sure people would have us losing to the 49ers.
-
Sucks for him, but he shouldn't have left. I love Koch though, I think he's even better.

I was soooooo pissed at Torrey for dropping the pass. Then I was sooooooo pissed at Boldin for dropping his pass over the middle. Then.......I was in disbelief that Torrey even caught his pass. He rolled in the end zone and I was half out of my chair. I was saying to myself, no way he caught it, could he? Then I lost my crap after the review!!!!!

Konz anyone?
-
Whatever happened to Zastadoodle? He was a good punter.
-
Only makes sense to use a first rounder if he's a game changer in the mold of Reed. Is that the case? I really really really hope the Ravens have the opportunity to jump on Konz.
-
According to ESPN...... We have a fourth and fifth rounder this year. Pick number 130 and 169 overall. I'm pretty excited about the fourth round pick. That's a nice extra to have. Sorry, may have posted in the wrong section as it appears there's already a conversation going in the draft section.

Everyone thinks that the player is happy because they have money. Yeah, for a couple of years. The bankruptcy rate for professional athletes is astronomical. You never play for the money, you let your play work that out. If you're lucky enough, you choose your destination that makes you happy. NOT the destination that makes you the most money. The money is the plus for happiness, it's not the source of happiness. You think more people would know this.

A look at prospects linked to the Ravens in mock drafts
yagersports replied to papasmurfbell's topic in NFL Draft
I just want superior lineman protecting Flacco and opening holes for Rice. I would think that scheme and help alleviate a lineman's weaknesses, but talent can never be discounted. That's why I want Konz. -

I want Konz in the worst way. Flacco and the offense are the future of this team. I don't want to abandon what has made this team excellent in the defense, however we have a QB and RB that need protecting. I wan the best O-line that we can obtain. McKinnie for another year, Grubbs (if we pull off something awesome), Konz, Yanda, Oher. That's a fearsome offensive line. Groom a McKinnie replacement with the tackles we have or draft another in later rounds. Or hell, look for another FA to come in fill McKinnie's shoes. I really think Konz will help set up this OL for a long time to come. Even if we don't keep Grubbs, we'd have Konz, Yanda, and Oher for a few years. That's pretty solid. -

Yes he does, and yes they do. It's why they look frustrated and stressed out when not performing. It's why they flop miserably. These guys are competitors (for the most part), they don't want to perform poorly or not up to par. Crawford was set up for disaster even if he hit .300 ball. For his contract, that was not good enough. As far as sports in general, I can think of a million reasons players shouldn't chase the money. They should chase success and excellence and let the money fall where it may. It's not how much money you make that makes you rich. Most guys have and never will make the money that Pippen made, and he's broke. So is Terrell Owens and the list goes on and on. It's nonsense. Find a place that makes you successful and HAPPY, then let the money fall where it may. Make WISE investments for your future and continue to work hard through retirement paying ATTENTION to your finances and I guarantee there will be ample happiness for an individual. More than one can handle.
-
Just another example of why players should know their value and not chase the money. Carl Crawford of the Red Sox is a classic example. In no possible way will he ever live up to his contract. He's going to be frustrated by fans his entire career as a sock until that contract runs out. Back to Scott, chalk up another LBer that just wishes they would have stayed for less and played next to Lewis.

And you should think before you post.....looks like both Harbs and yourself will never change

If you were capable of being an NFL head coach and you had people questioning you all the time, you would get irked too. Not because the question was asked, but because most people cannot possibly imagine the work that these guys put in. It's absolutely not something that anyone can do. Most people just wanna bitch after the fact, they have no idea what it's like to be in the fire fight. As for not being able to see how not having to move an entire facility back and forth would serve the Ravens, you obviously havne't moved much in your lifetime. Moving a family of 6 is hard enough. Try making accomodations for 200 plus. It's not so easy. Take the stress away and use a place that is familiar. It's a smart idea.

I for one am glad to hear that we have some tough as nails type guys in the mold of Mason. I remember when that little guy was catching balls one handed for TDs when his should was separated. Playing with double hernia, awesome! Warriors. I like it. Get well Torrey. One WR had face off surgery, the other played through double hernia. Tough guys! Guys the defense can respect.

I was speaking of Fitz in Buffalo lol. I was comparing QBs.
-
This is all very good news, especially if we can't afford Grubbs. Reid would be a great back-up plan if ready to play. Having Taylor ready is a huge plus too. Allows us to BPA.
-
Because he won't have to work logistics and neither will the players. Having the whole kit and kaboodle in one place makes sense from every perspective except the fans that enjoyed seeing them at Westminster. I feel for them, but without the logistics and wasted money they can spend that time and resource elsewhere. If he's letting friendship get in the way, he should continue, cuz he's winning, and winning, and winning, and winning, and winning.
-
Right, cuz McClain has contributed the way a QB contributes in a football game. Honestly. Why didn't you use Ray Lewis? Oh that's right, cuz there's another guy that has a lot more to do with wins and losses. In any case, Joe clearly has proved himself over time. He's not Brady, but he's also not Fitz. Wow McClain. Honestly, you would think I was talking about Dickson on offense geez.
