  1. As long as he can get separation I could care less about his route running. A 5th would be worth it if he can get open on short, medium, and deep patterns. How are his hands?
  2. Aiken hasn't shown much this year. I think he's having difficulty getting open. We still need another WR and I'd gladly give up a high round draft choice if we can come up with guy who's a B grade or better receiver. We certainly can't seem to have any luck with drafting WR's but trading for these guys around 29-30 we do have some luck doing. I said it when it happened and I'll say it one last time: giving Boldin away was a huge mistake. Still pisses me off. Probably Oz's greatest career blunder.
  3. S**t, just when Campy was really showcasing his talent. It's a shame. He'll probably never work out here as more than a game or two production. Givens move can't hurt. He can fly. Don't know if he can catch but at least he opens up the field. We need SSS back and that's going to be hard to do by Sunday. We might need to trade for another receiver. This year, like last year, a series of injuries has decimated a whole part of the team.
  4. He's worth it. He's been doing this since his rookie year, has a better temperament for the job, and look at how many games he's won for us. In fact, I don't think he's ever lost a game for us in the last minute or so. Or ever.
  5. We ought to test the trade market for a WR. If we get a fairly young one it would be worth giving up a high round draft pick.
  6. We need to keep him here. A new contract would be best but I'd even use the franchise tag on him.
  7. You know, you've got a great point, Cleetz. He's being paid for what he is. He's not a shutdown corner but he's probably a very good one who is trying to return from a bad injury.
  8. I'm willing to give Oz a pass for now. He couldn't predict the Kindle and Perriman injuries and he's done well considering how far down wev been drafting because of our on-field success. I don't like the Boldin move most of all. We shoulda paid the man.
  9. Yep, he didn't want any players disagreeing with him. All the tough guys in your face 'I'm going to run over you' except Smith Sr, are gone.
  10. Holy smoke! I agree with every post on this thread. Time for Bisciotti to step up. It's almost time to start seeing who the best first rounders are in the draft!
  11. What the hell has happened to Jimmy Smith and Webb? Is Smith complacent now with his big contract? Is Webb done at an early age? Who the hell is evaluating talent on this team? The defense has no fire and on offense we have no other WRs than Smith. Oh, and by the way, the coup de grace is Perriman aggravated his knee injury today in the pre-game warm-ups. You can put a fork in the Ravens for this season. They're done.
  12. Wasn't Michael Crabtree available as a free agent to us this year? I
  13. Agree. Every QB will miss a few throws in a game but overall he was solid. JImmy Smith, Webb were piss poor. The DL stunk. No pressure. And the LB's weren't setting the team on fire either. The defense played without any fire yesterday. The only guy who was jacked up was Smith, Sr. I blame the coaching for that and probably staying out on the road for 2 weeks.
  14. I thought the passing offense was super...as long as Smith keeps getting open. Joe was good, I have no problem with him And the Off line played great. The defense was the worst I've seen. Zero pass rush. Inability to cover. It was almost like the Raiders offense was the only team on the field when they had the ball. A truly atrocious defense today! If we lose to the Bengals, and we probably will, this season will be a write-off.
  15. It's a little premature to sign another WR. The pressure Denver brought on Flacco was relentless and there really was no time for a receiver to get open downfield. I'll be more concerned if our WRs aren't productive next week.
  16. Yes, not having Perriman is going to kill us, even more than losing T-Sizzle.
  17. I'm still shell shocked over how our O-line was so outclassed. That was supposed to be a team strongpoint. Did Monroe get hurt? I saw Hurst playing and he played terrible.
  18. True. But they've got Bell and Matavius coming back in a few weeks too.
  19. Perriman has a PCL sprain that takes about two months to heal. IF that happens it would probably take him, what, another 3 weeks to get back in shape? If all that happens we're looking at mid to late October?
  20. If we don't generate pressure on Manning, we'll get killed. Hopefully we'll get better as season progresses but I just don't feel a win coming this Sunday. I'd be fairly satisfied if we just don't get blown out like last time.
  21. Denver 30 Ravens 27. Can't predict the year, yet. Let's see how they fare over the first 2 games.
  22. I'm starting to get an uneasy feeling that Perriman will wind up on the PUP if not injured reserve. Hope I'm wrong.
  23. I agree with Cleetz. I'm afraid the high powered offense we were supposed to have may not materialize unless our receivers get healthy and learn how to get some separation. Smith Sr. isn't going to be able to catch everything. If Maxx gets healthy, that would open up 2 TE sets with him and Gilmore. And that might have to suffice until Perriman ever returns. He's now in his 5th week of not practicing.
  24. That would spell disaster. We're already down by not having Perriman.
