  1. I agree with all of that! And you're right too about the fact it's going to take awhile to right the ship. Just hope the Offense is still working by the time they get the D straightened out.
  2. Hey Papa! Where have you been??? Haven't seen you on the board lately.
  3. 49'ers 30 Ravens 27.
  4. I don't know. Maybe. What is really lacking is players who are leaders, both on offense and defense. Smith Sr. is a leader.
  5. I'd still like to see some more imaginative play-calling. Not calling for Trestman's head, just a little more diversity in play calling. Of course, with the WR section so depleted that may be hard for anyone to do.
  6. If the FO feels they won't be able to re-sign them, then why not trade Yanda and/or Osemele for picks? I know it would decimate the O-line but if they're not going to be around next year... Pretty crazy or smart??? They way they've played this year, when they were so highly regarded before the season started, has frazzled my brain.
  7. Funny how the offense has had so many problems since losing Torrey and Kubiak, I get it that Perriman was supposed to be the new Torrey but he can't get on the field to practice let alone play. The offense, and Flacco, look a little lost with Trestman. I think I've seen just one rollout pass off play action so far this year.
  8. Another good point and I agree with you that the lack of contact practices is leading to more gameday injuries.
  9. Second year in a row a whole part of the team has been decimated by injuries. Is it just bad luck or something else?
  10. I agree but we need more than one. And we could use a couple on offense with the swagger Steve Smith has. And, I don't think it's by any means all Harb's fault, but I do fault him for the fact that the team defense has played with a lack of intensity. He needs to get rid of Pees. Now. FWIW we have just one more week before the trade deadline. If we're ever going to blow up the team for more draft choices the time is now. Not saying we should do that just that the time is getting short.
  11. Well, they've got too many holes to do it in one year with just the draft. Maybe even if they go big on free agents it won't be enough.
  12. Not with this defense.
  13. You can bet the farm that they will.
  14. Yup! Put a fork in them; they're done. Should we start discussing next year's draft. In April. It's only 6 months away.
  15. OK, you convinced me...mark down a win for the Ravens! Good read.
  16. Not to make excuses but having Perriman out has hurt (that is if he can still fly), Smith is out, Joe has a bunch of no-body's to throw to and our starting LT has been out until tomorrow. The secondary doesn't function like a unit and that might because they took so many injuries last year and have so many new personnel that haven't jelled yet. My biggest worry is actually the coaching. It's easy to coach top talent but a really, really good coach knows how to get more out of his players than what we have (Bellicheat).
  17. I bet McCown is licking his chops at taking shots on our secondary. This will be a tough game and a win is by no means assured.
  18. As long as he can get separation I could care less about his route running. A 5th would be worth it if he can get open on short, medium, and deep patterns. How are his hands?
  19. Aiken hasn't shown much this year. I think he's having difficulty getting open. We still need another WR and I'd gladly give up a high round draft choice if we can come up with guy who's a B grade or better receiver. We certainly can't seem to have any luck with drafting WR's but trading for these guys around 29-30 we do have some luck doing. I said it when it happened and I'll say it one last time: giving Boldin away was a huge mistake. Still pisses me off. Probably Oz's greatest career blunder.
  20. S**t, just when Campy was really showcasing his talent. It's a shame. He'll probably never work out here as more than a game or two production. Givens move can't hurt. He can fly. Don't know if he can catch but at least he opens up the field. We need SSS back and that's going to be hard to do by Sunday. We might need to trade for another receiver. This year, like last year, a series of injuries has decimated a whole part of the team.
  21. He's worth it. He's been doing this since his rookie year, has a better temperament for the job, and look at how many games he's won for us. In fact, I don't think he's ever lost a game for us in the last minute or so. Or ever.
  22. We ought to test the trade market for a WR. If we get a fairly young one it would be worth giving up a high round draft pick.
  23. We need to keep him here. A new contract would be best but I'd even use the franchise tag on him.
  24. You know, you've got a great point, Cleetz. He's being paid for what he is. He's not a shutdown corner but he's probably a very good one who is trying to return from a bad injury.
  25. I'm willing to give Oz a pass for now. He couldn't predict the Kindle and Perriman injuries and he's done well considering how far down wev been drafting because of our on-field success. I don't like the Boldin move most of all. We shoulda paid the man.
