  1. If the secondary we have right now remained mostly healthy for the whole season I'd be happy. It would still be nice to add another FA or cut CB even if they're just average.
  2. Amazing! He fell into our needy lap and Ozzie jumped on it. Now, if we can just stay healthy we'll be alright in the secondary. Still might want to pick up another vet if one becomes available.
  3. Playing these guys is a good development. I hate it when a coach won't let a rookie play even when that rookie is better than the vet that's there.
  4. Saw some video of him. He's faster than I thought and had good hands.
  5. It's been done to death. But that won't stop Steelers' fans from waving them. It's so trite now.
  6. I agree. They also have to be aggressive in press coverage and getting into receivers faces. There's no killer instinct back there.
  7. Gee he was something to watch. I miss him in our secondary.
  8. It's certainly a feather in Ozzie's cap and, in fact, the whole organization. I didn't get too excited over the A+ because I've seen grades as low as B, but that ain't bad either. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I believe Perriman's speed, size, and ability to get open will overcome any drops he might have. Hell, even Steve Smith can have multiple drops in one game but I think he's too old a dog to be taught new tricks. I think Engram will have a positive influence on Perriman's catches and minimize the drop problem. Torrey had a bunch of drops his first year too and he got better and better with that.
  9. You're spot on TBird. That ability to go deep opens up the middle and sidelines for the other receivers. We have to have that as Torrey showed. Plus all the PI calls.
  10. If there's no Pitta, we'd have Williams, Gilmore, and Boyle so if they don't sign a vet they've got these three as their core group.
  11. Taking Boyle was a smart move. In the offense we run, you've got to have multiple tight ends (and what if there is an injury?). In any case, I still wouldn't be surprised if they pick up one of the last FA vets just to have around. Could still pick up Gresham or Miller for the vet minimum. Really looking forward to Maxx.

That's exactly how I read it.
  13. Torrey Smith was a guy of high character and had a lot of speed. Initially, a lot of us were down on him because he had too many drops. But he did correct that problem. The one thing he wouldn't do though is climb the ladder and fight for the ball. Perriman has that ability. He also has the hands question. But when it comes to fighting for the ball he's impressive. He plays like he thinks the ball belongs to him.
  14. Just an observation: While watching Perriman's excellent catches (and a few drops), I was really impressed with the QB who was throwing to him (#5). I don't even know his name. He's got timing and accuracy on the long pass. Anybody know anything about him? Seems like he'd make a nice backup to Joe.
  15. Really can't tell until the season starts, but my preliminary would be A-.
  16. Really can't explain it, but I've got a good feeling about him. Clarence Moore???? NOooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
  17. He was a reach but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a bust. Have to see him play. But I still think they could have gotten him in the 6th or as a UDFA. Overall, though, I think we had a great draft. We'll know more at the end of pre-season.
  18. Crap, Max, I just posted the same time (almost) you did. You must have been posting when I was still typing.
  19. And the Ravens close it out with a guy who just might surprise everyone: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000479099/article/brandt-georgia-techs-darren-waller-could-be-2015-draft-steal
