  1. I read somewhere that the NFL said this morning that Sugg's hit was perfectly legal.
  2. I'm way more concerned about the coverage, or lack of it, than I am about who will wind up catching punts. I think Campanaro, if healthy, would be the punt catch man. There's no Jacoby on the roster this year so I don't see anybody returning a punt for a TD. Like you said, kickoff returns are rare now so I'm not worried about that. The coverage has been horrible! Every time we punt I hold my breath because there always seems to be a lack of Ravens around the ball when it comes down. I don't know why, I just know it stinks.
  3. They just really looked that they didn't want to play last night. I don't know if maybe the intensity of the practices has been too heavy and guys are worn out already. I seemed to see a lot of guys just standing around waiting for the game to be over. Hopefully it's just a one time aberration. I hope we kick Washington's butt next week.
  4. I agree and I think it'll all work out in the end.
  5. Well that certainly sounds promising. Just wish Perriman could practice. Maybe Monday?
  6. Great find!
  7. Thanks for the update, Cleetz!
  8. I don't know. I hope I'm wrong. I'm beginning to think Perriman has a serious injury. But: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/John-Harbaugh-Hates-That-Breshad-Perriman-Is-Still-Out/ac8a4344-00d6-4c34-844e-cdc992441ab7
  9. If Schaub can continue to do as well as he did Thursday, I have no problem paying $2.0 million. It's like having insurance. And like Max pointed out, and based on only 1 game, he's better than any other backup we've had except for Bulger. Let's see how he does from here out. I don't think Ozzie would have signed him if it wasn't a smart move. I'm willing to give the guy a chance.
  10. Actually, his cap figure this year is $2 million. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/cap/
  11. If Schaub can continue to play like he did I'll be really impressed.
  12. Overall I thought it was a good performance by the offense. The line we have is really something. I even saw Ryan Jensen blocking in the second level like Yanda does and i haven't thought much of Jensen until last night. Kudos to Castillo. Joe too. I think they executed very well on offense. Defensive depth, as has been mentioned here, is a problem area but what concerns me more is the lackluster play of the secondary. Now, Jimmy Smith didn't play at all (did Webby? I know he didn't start) and you have to factor that into it. Still... I've got the game on DVR and am rewatching it. Man that O-line is beastly! Shaub is definitely 2 steps above Tyrod. He's inconsistent but I think he could win a game or two for us if needed. Campanaro has a ton of talent. Just hoping he stays healthy. Maxx's 4th and 20 was right out of NFL Films. We need Perriman. Badly. The possession guys we have aren't getting separation and there's no down field threat. If Perriman doesn't practice by the next pre-season game I think he has a serious injury.
  13. The Bengals picked up Wenning.
  14. Ozzie selected a first round pick in each of the first 3 rounds. Granted, they have to pan out, but still, what an accomplishment!
  15. Brown and Perriman still aren't practicing. I'm just starting to get worried (I'm glad it was just a 'tweak' that Harbaugh said about Perriman and that he would be back to practice in '1 or 2 days')
  16. 5-2 after the first seven weeks would be awesome but it will be tough. I also see a Denver loss. And away at the Steelers.
  17. Really looking forward to it even though it's preseason. It seems like this off season has been sooooo long. We made a lot of good moves during it, I think, and I'm hoping to see some talent on display even if outcome is meaningless.
  18. Just hoping a slow start doesn't bring out the meta-critics. We'll probably be going into the last few games before we really know how good we are.
  19. Time for Bisciotti to take some of that $1 billion he's made and buy some land around OM to build a fan-friendly area with parking.
  20. Yeah I think the receivers are a fairly solid bunch but Smith and, hopefully, Perriman, will take it to the next level.
  21. Thanks for the post, Nado. Sounds like watching the practice as a fan sucks. Good point about Maxx. Any of the available WR's stand out?
  22. Yes, please take pictures, Nado! And give us a report on the WR battle.
  23. Agree. Hopefully he'll return to practice Monday. Whenever Harbaugh says somebody 'tweaked' something it's usually worse than that.
  24. Aiken went to Central Florida.
  25. Hopefully the swimming team!
