  1. I read this and didn't come away with any warm and fuzzies. The last time this happened, Suggs had a bad year. Also, where is his leadership? He should be showing the rookies how to 'play like a Raven'. Instead, it sounds like he wants to retire. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Aging-Terrell-Suggs-Feels-Weird-Without-Haloti-Ngata/d268e1d9-abb7-45dc-a494-45ebd4282f07
  2. That's where having one more veteran CB would come in helpful.
  3. Yep both those guys were a welcome surprise last year. It'll be interesting to see how the LT spot goes now that Monroe will have some competition. Monroe will very likely be the starter this year but in 2016, who knows?
  4. Early days yet. This team has more potential than the Super Bowl team and is younger and faster. Now all they have to do is realize all that potential.
  5. If he comes back, I would definitely PUP him. How can you have any confidence he'd last with the way it happened last time (i.e, no contact). A good long look with him PUP-ed is a good idea. Plus like you said, it gives a talented bunch of young TE's a chance to play and shine.
  6. I think it all depends on his being ready for camp at the end of July. I honestly hope he's going to OK because he sure looked good on those few occasions when he played.
  7. Wow, good stuff for sure! But like you said, it's early with no pads.
  8. SWEEET!
  9. There's a lot of talented receivers on the team...I'm sure one will evolve into being a number one but we won't know who until at least mid-season. Tough break for Campy. He had been working all off season on his hammy and now this. Maybe it'll shake out by camp time.
  10. There's always going to some dead money but we obviously we are way over a barrell for this year. I'm not worried by the small cap hits of Smith and Smith. Pitta's potential dead money hurts but isn't disabling.
  11. Thanks again! At least we won't have to fight the dead money issue again next year.
  12. Thanks...so does that mean this is the last year of the Rice/Jones dead money? And since we traded Ngata doesn't his cap hit go away?
  13. Does anybody know when the Ray Rice, Ngata, and Jones dead money 'goes away'? It really hurts our cap.
  14. It's an impressive lineup. I have a feeling Aiken will start in front of Brown. Upshaw's good against the run. He's been a minor letdown. Elam, I've have big doubts he'll turn it around.
  15. That's what I think too.
  16. I think he can make it back but the operative word is 'think'. I'm not sure at all it would hold up. If it was me, I'd call it a career and move on so that I could enjoy an active life with my family. But it's really up to Dennis and the doctors just like you said. If they clear him to play...well. we'll see.

  18. If the secondary we have right now remained mostly healthy for the whole season I'd be happy. It would still be nice to add another FA or cut CB even if they're just average.
  19. Amazing! He fell into our needy lap and Ozzie jumped on it. Now, if we can just stay healthy we'll be alright in the secondary. Still might want to pick up another vet if one becomes available.
  20. Playing these guys is a good development. I hate it when a coach won't let a rookie play even when that rookie is better than the vet that's there.
  21. Saw some video of him. He's faster than I thought and had good hands.
  22. It's been done to death. But that won't stop Steelers' fans from waving them. It's so trite now.
  23. I agree. They also have to be aggressive in press coverage and getting into receivers faces. There's no killer instinct back there.
