  1. I'm loving this draft so far. Wonder who we draft next. Maybe another guy will slip to us.
  2. Just a really super pick! And great weapons for Joe and Trestman.

    Maxx

Great move by Ozzie to trade up and take the best TE in the draft! This is looking like this draft has the potential to be one of Ozz's two best drafts.
  4. I think it's a gamble but one worth taking. This guy could be awesome.
  5. Highlight videos by definition just show you the good things but I was still impressed by this: http://www.underdogdynasty.com/2015/3/22/8168517/2015-nfl-draft-player-profile-ucf-wr-breshad-perriman
  6. Couldn't agree with you more, Max. The players and coaches told these kids what they really need to succeed.
  7. Perriman is impressive. He'll need to focus better but I think he starts Day One. What speed!
  8. Yeah Berry was quite a guy. The best pass catcher I've ever seen and a great route runner. I remember he used to take a football wherever he went when he was younger. That way, he said, he got the feel of the ball. Of course, Johnny U was one of my all time faves, as was Bert Jones. Good times!
  9. Well, I know I'm excited for it. The one thing I can count on is that Oz and Eric will have some, or even many, surprises!
  10. Melvin Gordon or Gurley. Whichever is available at 26.
  11. He won't slide down as far as the 26th spot.
  12. Can't say it better than these guys did: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ravens-players-react-to-baltimore-riots-say-violence-is-not-the-answer-20150428-story.html
  13. Yep, I saw that too.
  14. Gilmore has more potential that hasn't been tapped yet.
  15. I feel a little better about TE after watching these clips: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-draft/Top-5-Tight-Ends-That-Fit-The-Ravens/8b6e6601-00d7-4f7a-a36c-dd1777bef81d
  16. Brigance is a very special guy. I followed him with the Stallions too. He was a good linebacker to boot. Max, we have guys with experience but, let's face it, WR is a big question mark with unproven receivers and a lack of deep speed. TE is a mess though I think Gilmore will surprise everybody. But there's no second TE that was a feature last year. We lack depth at all the receiver positions. We need a superior draft. Oz and DaCosta have the ability. Now they have to execute.
  17. TE situation is weak to say the least. But I do think we're going to rough up the Broncos in a revenge game. The draft is crucial. I'm confident they'll find a RB. They'll draft a tight end and a speedster wide receiver. Not sure if we're drafting high enough in the second round to pick Maxx. Don't be surprised if Gresham or Miller wind up here later in the off season too.
  18. This is a bad schedule. The start of the season is just brutal. I'm not sure a worse 6 games could have been scheduled where they are if they tried. The ray of hope is that, if they survive that run with a decent number of wins, they get to play at home so many times in December they'll be guaranteed a playoff spot. But, really guys, they should have spread this out more.
  19. "“For me it was never truly about being the highest paid corner,” Smith said. “I knew I couldn’t be that on this team and be here just because of the talent already spread around. You have to pay other people, so I knew that going into it.”" Joe, hope you and Linta are listening to this for 2016.
  20. There are more well rounded TE's in the upper middle rounds. We need one even more than we need a WR. But I don't think Funchess is the guy we want. Too many drops.
  21. Gregory won't be there. Dupree may drop into round 2.
  22. Latest is that he has a broken bone that doesn't need surgery. He was examined by Steelers' doctors. Of course I wonder if this is just a draft smokescreen.
  23. Wow...3 wideouts! I'd be OK with Perriman but would prefer Strong if he's there. I'd like to see another TE in addition to Jesse too.
  24. Just read this and remembered Marchibroda was pushing hard for Phillips but Ozzie had final say: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25147977/former-rams-rb-lawrence-phillips-suspected-of-killing-prison-cellmate
  25. Yep, having the Colts here from the 50s-70 was the high times of the franchise. We had three good teams under Irsay and a lot of heartache.
