  1. My thoughts too. And he should be there at 26. But, Oz always goes BPA. I don't agree with that all the time but his record is pretty good.
  2. Even if he's there I'd pass. Wait for later rounds.
  3. I like what I've seen of Gilmore too. He's a real tough blocker and can catch the ball Yes...sad but true. Dennis should give it up. We need to find a TE but this draft is weak on them. Maybe a FA?
  4. I think that's only going to give us about $3 million in cap space after adjusting for draft pool.
  5. He had a decent year and has potential for better when he can get more playing time. We ought to be able to sign him cheap...at least for another year.
  6. Ngata is not a necessity. We've got reserves ready to step in and as has been pointed out, at 31 years old that's a ridiculous number for any DT (16 mil). If they can't lower his cap value to about half that they need to make a trade to some team that's flush with cap room.
  7. We're in agreement...they should target WR/CB/TE early depending on what happens in free agency. If we can get Haloti and Webb to accept a contract extension that lowers our cap, Oz will have some flexibility.
  8. They are pathetic. Why don't they just get their information from local writers here? Their track record is pretty good. Agree with what ravenmad said about our needs. But I'm sure that Oz will go BPA.
  9. He deserves a coach of the year mention at least considering the constant secondary injuries and the plugging in of Hurst and Urschel when they were needed.
  10. Cornerback is an obvious need but from I've read I wouldn't expect one at #26 who would be BPA.
  11. I'm looking forward to it. While nothing major happens, sometimes the buzz lets you know what they're thinking regarding, extensions, free agency, and the draft.
  12. Agree. Maybe even the 4th.
  13. Well, crap, if I had known that it would have explained his erratic performance.
  14. ...And were seldom heard from again!
  15. I think it's 50-50 we get Forsett back. But you are right. We've got to have a very good running back backing him up. It's possible that's Taliaferro but I'd feel better with rookie talent from this year's draft.
  16. I think the Ravens will win either way...either he stays with a much reduced cap figure or he goes with an even greater reduced cap number.
  17. I was thinking the same thing. We could possibly grab a draft pick if we can find a team that has a low cap number and needs defensive line help.
  18. Then let him go. From his past reluctance to extend his contract I get the feeling he isn't that loyal to us. Plus, hell, he's 31. How many good years does he have left? One? Two? None? And we have guys ready to take his position.
  19. Real good analysis. If they can get him for $5-7 million then keep him. If he wants more cut him loose. I'll miss the great guy that he is but any more money than that is just not warranted.
  20. That's a possibility, Crav. It's going to take some serious work to get there.
  21. Some are saying the week of the 23rd. No facts published yet.
  22. Agree with all of what you said except Ngata. A $16 million cap number is just way out of whack for a DT. And he was gone for 4 games this year and the DL held up well what with the new talent.
  23. It's going to be very difficult cap-wise to sign either Torrey or Marshall. We need cap relief from Ngata and Webby and next year from Joe. I'm hoping Oz can pull it off.
  24. Good article on what the Ravens honcho's will probably be talking about at Biscuit's Florida home next week. I wonder if we can find out from Crav what's actually being talked about down in Florida? http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/11-Ravens-Offseason-Issues-To-Discuss-During-Florida-Meeting/afb340cc-8a6a-438e-84e2-cebd6aeacbb3
  25. Yep. Some team will overpay him and he'll take it.
