  1. I'm not quite ready to declare for sure yet it, but it's beginning to look to me like Elam is a flop.
  2. We've all said it at one time or another: The Ravens have solidly displayed their inconsistency. They've got to get over that on the offense if they really expect to make the playoffs. It may take an 11-5 record to ensure that they make it.
  3. Yup. I don't think Monroe is having a good year. He is probably playing hurt. Great win. Forsett looks like he was made for the Kubiak offense.
  4. Unfortunately, that's how I see it too.
  5. Well, crap, that's what I've been saying all along. Rate his performance once the dead money is less than the salary cap hit. What I'm against is doing something like cutting him before then. Right now this is a non-issue.
  6. I think the Saints have the edge. If they lost 3 straight at home and having the lousy record they have, the N.O. Fans would jump off a cliff.
  7. Wow...this could be big, and bad, for the NFL.
  8. Papa, the difference between you and nearly all of the rest of us on this board is that we admit it when we're wrong (and I'm glad I was on the draft) but you seldom admit it when you're wrong. You'd rather be the Big Negative on the forum while most of the rest of us are fans. Since you've said you're not a fan of the Ravens, what exactly are you doing here?
  9. Nope...they can't get a high school field due to it being football season so he should set something up for Chinquapin Park.
  10. I'll let you have the last word because you so desperately have to have that------But you're wrong.
  11. You don't even know where they'd be drafting in the round if they hadn't taken Flacco. And who knows if you'd have a willing trade partner to move up. And you can't be 'absolutely certain' that you would be. And neither can you be certain (if even if you're positioned right) that your 'can't miss' prospect will pan out.
  12. That in no way indicates we would have been at the right draft position at the right time with the can't-miss prospect around. QB's like Luck and Manning are exceptions to the rule that most quarterbacks drafted high won't become first stringers. Those guys, and the opportunity to take them, are few and far between. And please don't mention Tyrod Taylor. In three years you won't even hear of the guy wherever he winds up.
  13. Hmmm...comments anyone? http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-nflpa-calls-for-changes-to-personalconduct-policy-in-proposal-to-nfl-20141114-story.html#page=1
  14. There were no Luck's around where the Ravens were picking on draft day either last year or the year before. QB's like Luck are not a dime a dozen. The majority of drafted quarterbacks are never pan out. Remember Jeff George and Art Schlichter? The lowly Colts drafter them earlier than Manning.Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Jamarcus, and many others were supposed to be great ones too. I saw what this offense was like from 2000-2008 and I hope I never see the crap we had for quarterbacks ever again.
  15. I don't think either of those scenarios would have satisfied the fan base.
  16. So who would have been playing quarterback for us the last 2 years? And who would have signed Joe with that tag on him?
  17. Very interesting! I hope it plays out like that. But, I'm figuring on another 8-8 season.
  18. Better yet, have just one pinned topic on Flacco and let the comments be posted by those who like him and those who don't. That allows everybody to join in the discussion in one topic.
  19. It's very annoying to keep seeing the same stuff over and over again. Using the 'ignore' button helps a little but is not a really good solution. Maybe we need two new pinned topics: one for those who hate Joe and one for those who don't.
