  1. I think it's going to 4 games.
  2. Plus, where would the money for it come from? I'd like to see the rich NFL kick in some of the Money---but that's probably a pipe dream.
  3. It wouldn't be crazy to have a roof. It would make the stadium profitable year round.
  4. Billick was a great organizer and did a lot for managing the team and, initially, the media. He certainly proved to be weak on fixing a broken offense. But I think he belongs in the ROH.
  5. Yeah. I think PSInet will buy them out.
  6. Billick belongs. I couldn't stand him at the end; his manner wore thin. But he did get the franchise off the floor.
  7. Joe should have just said 'that's up to the Commissioner' and not commented any further. I think he's wrong too. But I also think Taliaferro could be a good pickup at RB.
  8. ""Smart, tough, instinctive, fluid smooth," inside linebackers coach Don "Wink" Martindale said following the draft. "I put in my report how he uses his hands in getting off blocks better than anybody I've seen in the 10 years that I've been in this league." 9. Well, that makes me happy!
  10. I think they're just here to provide camp competition.
  11. Gee, Furstenburg is gone. Really sorry he didn't make it. I was rooting for him. They must really like what they see in the drafted TE. Also goes to show how damned hard it is to make it as a UDFA. I'm pulling for Hurst. In fact, I'll pull for any RT we pick up.
  12. And just wait for Ed Reed to run back an INT for a touchdown.
  13. Hell, if you can do that, you definitely know Billick's offense!
  14. The fact that he contained Clowney gives me some hope.
  15. Colin what worries me is if Steve Smith just can't go anymore. But WR is secondary to the RT, I agree.
  16. That's what I'm hoping: Oz will make a trade or a June pickup for RT. It's not impossible and it would do a lot to get the offensive line strengthened. Joe went down 48 times last year and that's too much. He's eventually going to get hurt at that rate. We could use more insurance as backup QB too. We missed out on a WR in a draft that had a lot of them. I'm just not sold that Steve Smith has enough gas left in the tank. I did like his free agent signings of Zuttah and Daniels. As Robjr83 said above it was a very polarizing draft. I'm all 'vented-out' now and hoping for the best.
  17. Seems to me you've got your opinion and I've got mine. And the 2 are not going to mesh. So that's all that's left to be said.
  18. I like what John Eisenberg wrote: "OK, so no grades from me. But I’ll take a stab at identifying winners and losers in this draft for the Ravens. One winner is Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees. Four of the Ravens’ top five picks will play on his unit, and in the past two years, the Ravens have drafted eight defensive players in the first four rounds. Another winner is tackle Rick Wagner. The Ravens were interested in adding a starting-caliber player at his spot, but they didn’t, so the job still belongs to Wagner, although it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Ravens bring in a veteran to compete with him. OK, so who lost with how the Ravens’ draft unfolded? I’d go with quarterback Joe Flacco. The Ravens didn’t come up with that starting right tackle to help protect him after he was sacked 48 times in 2013. They also didn’t add a receiver with a high pick in a year when elite pass catchers were all over the board, 12 going in the first 64 picks. Another loser would be Arthur Brown, the second-year linebacker. He was penciled in to start, but the Ravens drafted C.J. Mosley with the idea of him starting right away next to veteran Daryl Smith. That could relegate Brown to a part-time role, at least in the short run."
  19. When a team has definite, almost desperate needs, and they're not addressed on draft day, I can't feel any optimism at all about this team and where it's heading. If I am proved wrong, I'll be the first to admit it. But I don't think our FO has been living up to it's past reputation for drafting for quite some time now.
  20. Drafting for BPA is actually the easy way out. It would seem to me that a team has to reach a balance between BPA and actual needs. And we had plenty of needs that didn't get failed. All in all, a dismal and disappointing draft.
  21. Exactly the guys I was thinking of.
