Well, if we REALLY want to go back in time, I blame what happened to Baltimore with the Colts on John Steadman's written editorials blasting a really good owner, Carroll Rosenbloom, that eventually caused him to sell the team to ass----Irsay. Once Irsay took over, the writing was on the wall that we had a nut case that would move the team eventually. This became especially important after Al Davis sued the NFL and won the right to move the Raiders to LA. The NFL realized it couldn't block the moving of any team though Pete Rozelle was firmly in Baltimore's camp.
I miss the old Colts, their colors and history and their alumni.
But, having said all that, I will say the Ravens with Bisciotti have turned out to be EVERYTHING we could have wanted as a new team.
