  1. All I know is what I read in the paper and on the websites, but the first few days of camp sound like they've gone pretty well. Beckham, Ojabo, and Jackson sound like they're clicking so far. We'll know a lot more when the pads come on Monday. Flowers was doing good until his stomach illness. Here's hoping he's not eating with Lamar who's had his share of stomach problems too in the past. Meanwhile, has anybody been at any of the practices to offer some deeper insight?
  2. JK is cutting off his nose to spite his face.
  3. Long snapper Nick Moore tore his achilles tendon BEFORE camp even started.
  4. I guess he couldn't pass the physical?
  5. Good news on Bateman. Maybe JK will show up for work tomorrow.
  6. I don't know why JK is really on the PUP list. Hard to tell for sure whether he's just in Harbs' doghouse for not practicing during minicamp, for conducting a 'hold-in', or just still recovering after the really massive injury he had last year. I lean more towards the doghouse theory.
  7. Geez! Let's see if he can stay off the PUP list.
  8. Maybe we should just start putting out a 'no injury' list: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-roster-moves-jk-dobbins-rashod-bateman-training-camp-20230721-yjycn33rrffhrmruok3pit2yse-story.html
  9. Yeah, I think we overpaid for OBJ. We don't even know if he's healthy. I would rather have had Hopkins.
  10. Yep...I'm wondering who our LG and regular rotation of receivers will be especially. Also, cornerback depth. And you're right...it will all come down to injuries. Health is the top concern especially with guys coming off significant injuries from last year. Also would like us to come up with a better option for backup QB.
  11. Good article by Zebriec on all the issues involving the Ravens as camp is almost ready to start. Gee I hope The Athletic keeps him on for his Ravens' coverage. https://theathletic.com/4678537/2023/07/11/ravens-offseason-roster-breakdown/
  12. Yep. Those are the dates I read about. Rookies and quarterbacks report on the 18th just about 3 weeks from now. It's getting close.
  13. I agree Sharpe was best but I'd put Andrews at 2 and Heap at 3.
  14. Yeah, I think Monken is the key upgrade here. I see a big, entertaining season ahead. Super Bowl, who knows but I'll be happy if the offense is as improved as much as i think it will be and the defense is tight. I would like to see Lamar have a better backup QB.
  15. Wow...Roquan is psyched up and ready to play. I think Marlon Humphrey addressed his teammates the same way. Could be a ferocious defense if they can generate a competent pass rush. And stay relatively healthy.
  16. In summary, I agree with the majority of your choices. I could quibble here and there but the only ones that really I'd argue with is that I would have Mark Andrews in the #2 spot, and I wouldn't have Ohrer anywhere close to 2nd for OT's. As I said I agree with most of the rest. All in all I think you came up with a pretty good ranking.
  17. I'm a little hazy on this but I got the impression from Harbs that the cortisone is to help the healing process from having the screws removed.
  18. Well, I think they'll be some growing pains for sure but it will certainly be more interesting watching that than what we've seen in the recent past.
  19. Monken has injected me with Raven optimism. I'm really looking forward to what he can do.
  20. Gee, some actually good news on the injury front. Cause for some optimism for a change. If he stays healthy and the receivers produce it would really help the passing game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also read this today...the kind of thing that usually happens to one of our guys. I always liked the guy and hope he has a quick recovery: https://theathletic.com/4607923/2023/06/13/jets-chuck-clark-knee-injury/
  21. Here's the other concern I've had: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-rashod-bateman-limited-minicamp-20230613-7h7wnf47rjbpjnirwfzay2cqwq-story.html
  22. Well I'm glad to hear it. I wasn't sure he'd show up. I still think we overpaid to get him because we have no idea how healthy he is. We'll see.
  23. Good point. And what about Bellichek since Brady left?? https://www.si.com/nfl/patriots/news/new-england-patriots-tom-brady-bill-belichick-josh-mcdaniels
  24. I think Harb's strength is the motivation that he instills in his players. His weakness is he doesn't know the intricacies of the offense or defense and his time management is questionable at best. It's important for him to have high quality offensive and defensive coordinators. I think I agree with the premise that he doesn't like outspoken players. But, hell, you can't argue with the man's regular season record over his career here. One more thing. I bet player selection, at least to type of player wanted, is the coaches domain and actually acquiring said players is in the hands of the GM. I think it's that way on most teams or should be if the front office has faith in the coaches it hires.
  25. I like the addition of this guy. We'll see if it pays dividends.
