  1. THAT is indeed what they have to do.
  2. I'm not sure he can go turnover free but I think he can make one or two big plays. Preston has a new article out on it's just a matter of time before Watson has a breakout game. Lets hope it's not this week.
  3. Any new word on Stoudt? I see he's got a knee injury.
  4. Only if we don't pay $45 mil of tag money on Lamar and keep Roquan to around $20. That's 70 million right there. Maybe we can sign Lamar to a cap friendly 3 year contract at $20 mil per? That gives him a chance to have one more big contract when he's only 28 years old. Or maybe Huntley makes Lamar trade bait?
  5. This will be another AFC North game that could be the 'trap' game Tsyl is cautioning us about. Watson could be ready to have his 'big' day but he'll have to go through our D-line and linebackers to do that. Our secondary isn't by any means bad, but boy are they inconsistent. I may regret saying this, but Cleveland's D is mediocre. If Huntley is truly OK and Dobbins and Edwards stay healthy, we should be able to move the ball. May have to wear them down first and reap the dividends in the second half. And no more injuries to the O-line. Any word on Zeitler's condition?
  6. Yep, I agree Tsyl...sign him to a long term contract. He's a playmaker, leader, and difference maker and has a great attitude.
  7. Roquan had, yet another, great game. And he makes everybody better around him. Kudos to Queen too. JK had a super game coming back after knee surgery and Edwards finished out the game well too. Tyler was in control when he was in there and calm...a shame he got the concussion. Maybe Lamar learned a bit by watching. But I think I'd take two number ones if they were offered. But, lets play out the rest of the season before we make a final decision.
  8. You may be right but I don't want to franchise him unless we deal him because then we can't keep Roquan. Lets see what the rest of the games look like and then I'll know what I think we should do with Lamar. One thing I do know now is that Roman must go either now or the end of the season.
  9. Well, we'll see if Roman makes any real adjustments in this game. I think it's very unlikely. One last comment...for about a decade there I complained that the Ravens lacked an entertaining offense. Then in Jackson's first 2 years here that all changed and football became fun again even though we didn't flourish in the playoffs. Now the team's offense is boring again and has been for the last 2 years including this season. Lamar may be burnt out and like I said in another post, he leads the league in hits taken in the last 5 years. 877 hits on your franchise QB. You can't have a career with numbers like that.
  10. I think guaranteed money is out of the question now. After seeing how many hits he's taken just so far, I think he'd be lucky to justify even a 5 year contract unless he pulls a playoff run like Flacco did.
  11. Not worried about our defense. It's our offense that scares me because we don't have a single offensive player outside of Mark Andrews to scare them. The Steelers are playing fairly decent football right now though I think Tomlin is whistling in the dark about his current quarterback being his QB of the future Not too worried about our defensive coordinator. He's still learning and improving. But oh shit I have no confidence in Greg Roman. Will Stanley play? Will Edwards shake off some rust (I hope that's all that's holding him back)? Will Marcus play? This team has 53 players and right now has about 10 questions. I think Pittsburgh will pull out a win in their home stadium.
  12. Food for thought from Jameson Henley: "This season, Jackson had shown signs of some wear and tear. He missed one practice two weeks ago because of a hip injury, and he didn't finish a practice last week due to a quadriceps injury. Since entering the NFL in 2018, Jackson has taken a league-leading 877 hits, which amounts to an average of 12.5 hits per game." How much longer can this go on?
  13. Geez, when was the last game we played where our QBs weren't under duress??
  14. There's not a thing wrong with this team that a new O-line, 3-4 WRs, and a new Offensive Coordinator can't fix. Stanley is needed back desperately. We don't have any wide outs capable of scaring anybody. Greg Roman must go...NOW!---the offense looks downright depressed by his system if you can call it that.
  15. Max that was funny as hell! I'm still smiling.
  16. Of all the injuries we have, the one that's most concerning to me is Ronnie Stanley, especially this week against the Bronco pass rush which is tough. We could certainly use the other guys too but Stanley is crucial.
  17. Just look around the league's owners and it's easy to see Bisciotti's one of the best. The last thing we need is an over-involved owner who continues to fuck up his team.
  18. We could give Roman free space to 'explore' this opportunity by 'letting him go'. You know...as a favor to him.
  19. If Lamar and Roman continue to act/play/coach the way they are now, I don't believe either will be around next year. At least not with us. I have to think Bisciotti will make whatever moves are necessary. If not, it will be very hard for me to stomach another season of what I've seen through week 11 so far. I can't imagine the Biscuit laying out 35-40 million for Lamar or not seeing Roman doing the same routine over and over again. He's not a stupid man.
  20. Russell Wilson could get his act together and have enough to eke out a win or lose to us in a close one.
  21. I can't imagine any top school would go with a guy with a run heavy offense that sputters half the time.
  22. If we fire Roman now, it won't change how the team plays much because we're too deep into the season for it to result in any significant change. The only plus for firing him now is that it sends a message to the team, the coaches, and the fans. I could be persuaded to let him go now for that reason alone but the better alternative is to can him and his philosophy at the end of season. If Harbaugh won't do it voluntarily then the Biscuit has to step in. At season's end, we should tag Lamar and see what we can get in offers for him. He hasn't been the same since the team got rid of his close friend and bench buddy Marquise Brown who asked to be traded. You don't see Lamar laughing or smiling on the bench anymore. Instead he mostly sulks. Not a very mature response from Lamar. PLus I don't think his head is in the game as it was before. Lamar needs to apologize for his disgustingly crude Twitter post. It makes him and the whole franchise look bad. So far as team performance, I don't think it is going to change much. Wide receivers on the team aren't talented enough to produce back to back games of good performances. Cornerbacks have a nasty habit of making mental and physical blunders. And overall team coaching has now become a problem. It wasn't before, but it has also become a weak spot. Maybe Harbs has been around too long. I dunno. Not ready to throw him under the bus just yet, but this year has not been a good one for his coaching and, frankly, he looks tired out. Now, who knows, this team might wake up as if from a feverish dream and blast the Broncos this week en route to winning the division. I don't expect it. But I can hope.
  23. I agree with Varaven all the way. Lets kick some ass this Sunday.
  24. I want to see a convincing victory. I want to see something that tells me this team is a solid contender. I want to see Roman show he's a real, four quarter OC who knows how to beat a crappy team. I want Lamar to grab this offense by the collar and have a rip-snorting good game. Finally, I'd like us to come out of one freakin' game with no injuries.
  25. Have to agree with you VA. Just gotta wait it out.
