  1. Well they are installing a new offense and Monken said it's way early yet so I would expect the offense to be lagging the defense right now. Lets see if things are any better in 2 more weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for now.
  2. We'll find out this year one way or the other.
  3. It's good that he's frustrated. He'll work harder to get it down. The two things that will make him a true star quarterback are the ability to hit on his deep throws and staying injury free. Funny, in his first full year he was good in getting the timing down on long throws but he's been wild the last two seasons. Agree with both you guys.
  4. An extension? It would have to be constructed in a way to protect the team. RBs are a pretty cheap commodity and he isn't going to be able to change that. I don't mind him staying here if the deal is really team, and cap, friendly. But he has pissed me off.
  5. I think it's crazy what he's doing. What could possibly be his thinking in that by not playing he enhances his value? He has a lot to prove in that is he completely over his injury. Yes he played well toward the end of last season but he was definitely missing his top gear. Maybe he just doesn't want to risk getting injured in camp but that is really no excuse.
  6. So far, so good with Flowers. If he stays healthy he could be a real shot in the arm for this offense. I think he's going to be a successful first round WR pick for the Ravens. Meanwhile, has any one heard when Bateman might take the field?
  7. Yup. Good article. The defense seems to be really showing its teeth. Offense sounds like it's having a bit of trouble adjusting to the new playbook and to the defense's new found prowess. I'm starting to get jazzed waiting for the first preseason game so I can see how the young guys are doing.
  8. All I know is what I read in the paper and on the websites, but the first few days of camp sound like they've gone pretty well. Beckham, Ojabo, and Jackson sound like they're clicking so far. We'll know a lot more when the pads come on Monday. Flowers was doing good until his stomach illness. Here's hoping he's not eating with Lamar who's had his share of stomach problems too in the past. Meanwhile, has anybody been at any of the practices to offer some deeper insight?
  9. JK is cutting off his nose to spite his face.
  10. Long snapper Nick Moore tore his achilles tendon BEFORE camp even started.
  11. I guess he couldn't pass the physical?
  12. Good news on Bateman. Maybe JK will show up for work tomorrow.
  13. I don't know why JK is really on the PUP list. Hard to tell for sure whether he's just in Harbs' doghouse for not practicing during minicamp, for conducting a 'hold-in', or just still recovering after the really massive injury he had last year. I lean more towards the doghouse theory.
  14. Geez! Let's see if he can stay off the PUP list.
  15. Maybe we should just start putting out a 'no injury' list: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-roster-moves-jk-dobbins-rashod-bateman-training-camp-20230721-yjycn33rrffhrmruok3pit2yse-story.html
  16. Yeah, I think we overpaid for OBJ. We don't even know if he's healthy. I would rather have had Hopkins.
  17. Yep...I'm wondering who our LG and regular rotation of receivers will be especially. Also, cornerback depth. And you're right...it will all come down to injuries. Health is the top concern especially with guys coming off significant injuries from last year. Also would like us to come up with a better option for backup QB.
  18. Good article by Zebriec on all the issues involving the Ravens as camp is almost ready to start. Gee I hope The Athletic keeps him on for his Ravens' coverage. https://theathletic.com/4678537/2023/07/11/ravens-offseason-roster-breakdown/
  19. Yep. Those are the dates I read about. Rookies and quarterbacks report on the 18th just about 3 weeks from now. It's getting close.
  20. I agree Sharpe was best but I'd put Andrews at 2 and Heap at 3.
  21. Yeah, I think Monken is the key upgrade here. I see a big, entertaining season ahead. Super Bowl, who knows but I'll be happy if the offense is as improved as much as i think it will be and the defense is tight. I would like to see Lamar have a better backup QB.
  22. Wow...Roquan is psyched up and ready to play. I think Marlon Humphrey addressed his teammates the same way. Could be a ferocious defense if they can generate a competent pass rush. And stay relatively healthy.
  23. In summary, I agree with the majority of your choices. I could quibble here and there but the only ones that really I'd argue with is that I would have Mark Andrews in the #2 spot, and I wouldn't have Ohrer anywhere close to 2nd for OT's. As I said I agree with most of the rest. All in all I think you came up with a pretty good ranking.
  24. I'm a little hazy on this but I got the impression from Harbs that the cortisone is to help the healing process from having the screws removed.
  25. Well, I think they'll be some growing pains for sure but it will certainly be more interesting watching that than what we've seen in the recent past.
