  1. Well at least they came away with the top S and C in the draft. I was hoping for a pass rusher or OT but it was not to be. This really puts the pressure on tomorrow and on the chances of Stanley making it back full bore. Like I've been saying here ad nauseum, we need more playmakers.
  2. What did they get for it?
  3. Thanks for the post with the info, Max. I think when the dust settles tonight it will be Jordan Davis to the Ravens.
  4. Lloyd sounds like a winner. Lindenbaum I just don't know though it wouldn't be a reach to pick him and he'll probably be there at 14 if they decide to stand pat. I honestly do not have a clue whom they pick as long as it's a guy who makes plays that really impact the game being played even if it's on offense.
  5. Who would like out of these 14? : https://www.baltimoreravens.com/photos/14-players-ravens-could-draft-at-no-14#c97a6b05-85f5-4fb4-b47f-c42797b59911
  6. Its hard for me to say what we need more because we need both but I'm hoping for either an OT or edge rusher. I will take any player that is a major playmaker though.
  7. They have 10 picks. For sure they won't hit on most of them. So what can we count on in the draft? Two or three starters max? That leaves a lot of holes. FWIW CBS has the Ravens trading down to get more picks. Don't like the idea personally. Maybe we should trade up to get a bona-fide star pass rusher.
  8. Man, so many holes to fill: center, left tackle, running back, defensive line, pass rusher, linebacker, secondary. We've got more holes to fill than we have topsoil. So much is going to depend on Stanley, Dobbins, Gus coming back and being able to go at the same level as before the injuries. I don't think we did enough in free agency to plug the many holes we have. I know cap space is tight. I think we're going to be in for another down year. Looks like a 2-year rebuilding project to me before we get back to the playoffs.
  9. Yeah, I agree. The secondary as a group seems injury prone now. We thought we had a deep secondary last year and still got skunked.
  10. I agree that he is good enough to play in spots. I don't know why he didn't stay here unless they offered him more money and more playing time. Anybody know what he got and what we were offering? Maybe he wanted to play as a #1 and he's not worth that.
  11. Well it could be that this year in particular we have so many holes to fill in the draft that they don't want to use up one for a temporary RB. I know you can always grab one as late as the 3rd round but there may be better uses when the 3rd comes up. It's all about having options.
  12. Well, Hill can go...I think Gordon would be for insurance if either of the regular backs needs more time...I don't think it means, I hope not anyway, that JK and Gus are done.
  13. Completely understandable for him to stay put rather than make a nation wide trip for the same money. This is no fault of the Ravens.
  14. Yeah I was and still am in favor of a dome. Missed a big opportunity there. Now the stadium is only used for about 10-15 dates a year.
  15. Wow! Just look at we have to look forward to with Papa! On the other hand, Papa, look at it this way. After next year it's only a 2-yr deal. If Bisciotti feels it's time for Harbs to go, he can afford to just fire him.
  16. Sounds like he got a better deal with the Vikes. I don't know if he's still worth 14/year. Pretty risky for Minnesota. We shall see.
  17. Yeah, it's nice to get some positive news for a change.
  18. The bizarre thing is he was so heavily involved in the community. Something must have happened during negotiations that turned him way off.
  19. Geez...he settled for chump change in today's NFL. I don't get it.
  20. Whoa! I didn't know about the back injury. I kind of loss track of him last year but I knew he had become a badass pass rusher for the Packers. But back injuries are tricky things and might mean he can't play. I'm hoping now they're doing a series of thorough physical examinations of him. However, he is just 29. If he's healthy it could still be a good signing. Time will tell. Also do we know the details of the contract? All I've heard is $35 mill for 5(?) years. Maybe it's loaded with incentives?
  21. This just in: https://www.nfl.com/news/za-darius-smith-ravens-ex-packers-pass-rusher-returning-four-year-35m-contract. So Zadarius comes back home. He'll be 30 in September but I think he's still got some gas left in the tank. If he does we've just improved our pass rush and can still address it in draft. I'm liking what I've seen so far in free agency for the the Ravens. Didn't expect this much activity.
