Amen to that brother!

Let's see what happens over the rest of this season. Right now there are too many unknowns in the equations. Personally, I think we've got a shot getting to the SB this year if Roquan continues to play monster ball. One thing I will say is that if, big if, we trade Lamar we'd better get rid of Roman too.

I have often called for Roman's head and in fact I still do but he did call one heck of a game last week and he even made adjustments! However, he's going to have to do this pretty consistently over the rest of the season and playoffs for me to change my overall opinion of the guy. I'm not trying to completely get Lamar off the hook for his sudden inability to hit downfield wide open targets but maybe, just maybe, it's because the receiver corps has been so banged up there's been very little consistently on who's playing at any given time. He definitely needs Mark Andrews back. We shall see as the season progresses.

I have to give some grudging credit to Roman for his schemes and calls last night. Again, our O=line was dominant. Now if only Roman could be consistent.

Our offensive line played awesome. Lamar's passing was off but man he made up for it with his legs. Houston was a monster on D. The team stayed focused for 4 quarters! Can't wait until we get Andrews, Gus, and JK back at the same time. DeSean Jackson looked good at WR until he tweaked his hamstring. Roman called a good game.

While I think we need Lamar right now, I think Tsyl is reading the future accurately. There is a lot of college qb talent coming out over the next 2 years at least that is going to be a golden age of quarterbacks. They can make all the throws and be mobile enough to either move around in the pocket or in other cases be able to take off and run. Lamar could be expendable as soon as next year or the year after.

Yeah the injury bug keeps biting us in the ass. I too would rest Andrews and Edwards. 24 days off has got to help them. I'd activate Desean; let's see if he has anything left in the tank. Our backup running backs and Lamar should give us some semblance of a running game and Duv and Likely will hopefully stay healthy and active and perform well. The one thing that scares me is Andy Dalton---a Ravens killer from way back. I have a feeling that IF we win this one we'll take the division. If we lose, all bets are off.

All I can keep thinking is: "I hope we can keep him here". This is a guy you can build a defense around that will last years.

They simply have to keep this guy with a new contract. If they don't, it may not be such a great deal. But for now, I'll think positively and give Eric provisional high marks. Can't wait to see him play.

Just saw a flash sports article stating the Ravens have traded for the Bears' Roquan Smith. We are giving up a 2nd and 5th round pick in next year's draft. Smith is in the final year of his rookie contact. He is the NFL's leading tackler. So how do we feel about this move, guys?

Good stuff, Tsyl! I always learn a lot from your posts. The Justice Hill story is a good one for this team, especially the way we go through running backs. Good for him. I think, now,that Lamar is just Lamar. He doesn't seem to be able progress on his reads. Its a weakness of his but he has a ton of other things to offer. I'm sticking with him. Just wish he seemed happier. Is the contract news wearing on him, I wonder?

Roman should go at the end of the season. He's shown an inability to adapt just as he did with his previous 2 teams. Lamar looks really down, man. He definitely ain't having fun like he used to and that seems to go hand-in-hand with how he performs. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he didn't request a trade after this season. Wouldn't that be something?

Conditioning only holds up if you keep at it. I would really like to see a breakout of weekly time spent on aerobics vs strength building and other practice activities.

Maybe the coaches wake up and begin to stress conditioning. Crap, ditch the game planning and run around the field every day for a couple of hours taking a break here and there. Geez this team is so hard to watch in the 4th quarter!

Who knows WTF Ravens team shows up? Or what Lamar? Agree with all the comments about Lamar being in a funk. He's not playing like he did in his first years here. Looks like he's been subjected to brain-washing. I seldom see the confident young guy we drafted. Instead of molding him, looks like we've practically turned him into mold! How much leash is Roman going to get ??

The quality of play is leaving a lot to be desired. Is it just me or do most players seem both less able and less motivated??

Agree Lamar has to run more and the offensive line is having cohesiveness issues. I would hope they know what they're doing with the 'rest' periods for players like Stanley but he has been back for a few games now and I would guess he's ready for more time. But then I'm no orthopedic doctor. I also think Lamar's hip is bothering him. At least Gus was back and looked real good. Here's hoping he stays healthy.

The Ravens will be fired up this Sunday and despite the injuries will prevail. Just a hunch.

I saw that on that play and was wondering 'Why? Why? Why??? I think you hit the nail on the head in that he is now fixated on being a pocket qb. C'mon Lamar, don't be a sucker for these critics who insist you have to be a pocket passer in this league. Dammit, just be yourself.

Lamar does seem to collapse in the 4th quarter but, then, do does the whole team. I think there is a conditioning issue to go along with the questionable coaching decisions. The defense seems to run out of gas and the offensive play calling, that is, Roman, seems to become timid regardless of the game situation. Where's the killer instinct on this team?
