I don't think so but here's a counter argument: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/analysis/preston/bs-sp-preston-ravens-all-in-quarterback-deals-20220310-upeeezq54fca3ech3763stgbnu-story.html.

A Summary of Where the Ravens Are at This Point

Yep really a shame about Tavon. All the injuries, all the rehab, and then it turns out your career is shot. And yes we do need 2 tackles real bad. -
Zelensky is truly inspiring and full of fight. Who would have expected that from a TV actor turned President? Certainly not the 'Apprentice' guy who only seeks to divide us while making more and more money.

Trouble is, you usually have to have the first or second pick to get a good quarterback these days and where would you get it from and how would you know where that trade partner would finish a year ahead of time. Better all around if Lamar signs in the next few weeks. -
Lots of interesting stuff here. Comments? https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/late-for-work-2-24-adam-schefter-it-s-in-lamar-jackson-s-best-interest-to-get-a-

New Trainer: Anyone Would be an Improvement...
oldno82 replied to oldno82's topic in Baltimore Ravens
How large is Harbaugh's staff now? Is it getting close to the roster size?? https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-coaching-staff-zach-orr-20220223-stuzz75x7vgppbcuizh6dqsxwa-story.html -

Here's some more on this new guy that sounds promising: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-athletic-trainer-20220222-7fxjgjcyefcf3mfdjexhmuhjre-story.html -

Well, this guy sounds pretty sharp and for the team's sake I hope he lives up to the level his past experience indicates. -

Why do you say that? Is that what happened to the Titans? -
I like 4 of those 5 guys...Faalelee just reminds me of the offensive equivalent of Terrance Cody and we all know how that worked out. Any of the others sound impressive
-
but I like this guy's resume. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-name-new-head-athletic-trainer

If Stanley doesn't make it back and is not replaced with a first class tackle, the offense will not succeed. The total absence of news on him is unnerving. I'm rolling the dice and hoping Cleveland can stay healthy and learn to pass block. If Bozeman is gone I think we'll find a center somewhere..
-
What do you think we could get for him?
-
I think Bozeman will be back and like you said Zeitler is solid. DeCosta has to fill the other positions with more than filler and between the draft, free agency, and Stanley's hoped for return I'm feeling optimistic about the O-line. If Cleveland stays healthy he'll improve in his 2nd year. And anything is better than Villanueva. I've seen other teams rebuild their lines in one year if things go right and we're do some good luck.
-
Actually, I tend to agree with you and the Revenge Tour. We can't possibly have that many injuries again and the schedule is friendly. If, a sizeable if, JK and Gus can come back and play as they did before and if DeCosta straightens out the lines, I like our chances for 2022.
-
You don't have to be an asshole to be a winner.
-
Burrows is a narcissistic SOB and I don’t want him as the face of my team. I’ll take Lamar any day.
-
OK...who are you picking to win and which team would you like to see win? I think LA will win, but I want the Bengals to win though for nefarious reasons.
-
Agree with that and the teams own all the cards. No psl's, no team.
-
Whoa...like I said, don't ditch the draft at all but sometimes you can trade a mid-round pick or two and get an Anquan Boldin for example. It'd be nice to do that and pick up a RT so we can concentrate on LT and C this draft. Villaneuava has to go and Stanley might not make it back. This way gives us a path to improve a position or two outside waiting for talent to mature and then losing them to free agency.
-
It's become my opinion that the Ravens have to be more active and bolder in free agency and the same with trading draft picks for good players. I'm not advocating giving the draft process the heave-ho but there are probably some good players out there who we could bag for a third for fourth round pick. And in free agency, I think we have taken the 'right player, right price' philosophy too far. Sometimes you've got to pony up the money if you want play-makers. Enough from me. Here's what Mikey says: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/analysis/preston/bs-sp-preston-decosta-impact-players-20220208-xniklm66nbfrvg5fevqgzykwqa-story.html.
-
Thanks for posting the transcript. EDC obviously can't get too specific but I kind of got a sinking feeling when he was talking about our running backs making it back this year. Sounds like he'll be looking to draft a RB and maybe go the free agent route in order to give us some back up in case Dobbins and Edwards won't be ready.
-
Yup...gotta pick up a potential replacement for Stanley. It's a tossup between LT or speed rusher at 14. Whichever one we don't get as a FA we have to draft.
-
Agree really nice job by Cass. Hope the new guy taking over has a good run too.

As I was saying: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/analysis/preston/bs-sp-ravens-offensive-line-overhaul-preston-20220203-jykoxcx4vfhapjfeqhmhatx2ae-story.html
