If Lamar and Roman continue to act/play/coach the way they are now, I don't believe either will be around next year. At least not with us. I have to think Bisciotti will make whatever moves are necessary. If not, it will be very hard for me to stomach another season of what I've seen through week 11 so far. I can't imagine the Biscuit laying out 35-40 million for Lamar or not seeing Roman doing the same routine over and over again. He's not a stupid man.

Russell Wilson could get his act together and have enough to eke out a win or lose to us in a close one.

I can't imagine any top school would go with a guy with a run heavy offense that sputters half the time.

If we fire Roman now, it won't change how the team plays much because we're too deep into the season for it to result in any significant change. The only plus for firing him now is that it sends a message to the team, the coaches, and the fans. I could be persuaded to let him go now for that reason alone but the better alternative is to can him and his philosophy at the end of season. If Harbaugh won't do it voluntarily then the Biscuit has to step in. At season's end, we should tag Lamar and see what we can get in offers for him. He hasn't been the same since the team got rid of his close friend and bench buddy Marquise Brown who asked to be traded. You don't see Lamar laughing or smiling on the bench anymore. Instead he mostly sulks. Not a very mature response from Lamar. PLus I don't think his head is in the game as it was before. Lamar needs to apologize for his disgustingly crude Twitter post. It makes him and the whole franchise look bad. So far as team performance, I don't think it is going to change much. Wide receivers on the team aren't talented enough to produce back to back games of good performances. Cornerbacks have a nasty habit of making mental and physical blunders. And overall team coaching has now become a problem. It wasn't before, but it has also become a weak spot. Maybe Harbs has been around too long. I dunno. Not ready to throw him under the bus just yet, but this year has not been a good one for his coaching and, frankly, he looks tired out. Now, who knows, this team might wake up as if from a feverish dream and blast the Broncos this week en route to winning the division. I don't expect it. But I can hope.

I agree with Varaven all the way. Lets kick some ass this Sunday.

I want to see a convincing victory. I want to see something that tells me this team is a solid contender. I want to see Roman show he's a real, four quarter OC who knows how to beat a crappy team. I want Lamar to grab this offense by the collar and have a rip-snorting good game. Finally, I'd like us to come out of one freakin' game with no injuries.

I dunno if its just me but Lamar looks less quick and shifty now as opposed to when he started with us. His passing is now inaccurate on the medium to long passes. He can still win a game on his own now and again but I think I detect signs of him beginning to slow down running. * On his passing it's a little hard for me to judge. He has had constant turnover on receiver personnel this year and that may be making him less confident in his passing. If I had to give a grade on his season so far, it'd be a C+, but sinking. And what we're seeing now might be his upper limit on passing. That is a great site. Looks like if we want to keep both we won't be able to franchise Lamar but instead have to give him a cap friendly contract so we can squeeze Roquan in. We'd certainly be right up against the cap I'm pretty sure for the foreseeable future. But it would be worth it, especially if we get deep into the playoffs. Eric and our capologist will have to get creative.

It's really a tough choice for me...that's why I posted it. I'm like you. I want both of them even if we had to somehow make a trade or cut to open up room. Of course then the question becomes who do you cut and how much dead cap money results?

If it comes down to it, who would you rather retain, Roquan or Lamar? And is there any way to keep both?

I feeling pretty confident that the Ravens won't let down. I think they'll be looking at this stretch run in a hungry mode. Anxious to prove their a good team when their stars return to action.

The Bills-Vikes game was one for the ages! I was almost as worked up rooting for the Vikings to win it late as I would have been for the Ravens. Almost! Lots of both good and bad quarterback play by Allen. INTs and crucial goal line fumble interspersed with outstanding passing and running. And Mnn just never quit.

Let's see what happens over the rest of this season. Right now there are too many unknowns in the equations. Personally, I think we've got a shot getting to the SB this year if Roquan continues to play monster ball. One thing I will say is that if, big if, we trade Lamar we'd better get rid of Roman too.

I have often called for Roman's head and in fact I still do but he did call one heck of a game last week and he even made adjustments! However, he's going to have to do this pretty consistently over the rest of the season and playoffs for me to change my overall opinion of the guy. I'm not trying to completely get Lamar off the hook for his sudden inability to hit downfield wide open targets but maybe, just maybe, it's because the receiver corps has been so banged up there's been very little consistently on who's playing at any given time. He definitely needs Mark Andrews back. We shall see as the season progresses.

I have to give some grudging credit to Roman for his schemes and calls last night. Again, our O=line was dominant. Now if only Roman could be consistent.

Our offensive line played awesome. Lamar's passing was off but man he made up for it with his legs. Houston was a monster on D. The team stayed focused for 4 quarters! Can't wait until we get Andrews, Gus, and JK back at the same time. DeSean Jackson looked good at WR until he tweaked his hamstring. Roman called a good game.

While I think we need Lamar right now, I think Tsyl is reading the future accurately. There is a lot of college qb talent coming out over the next 2 years at least that is going to be a golden age of quarterbacks. They can make all the throws and be mobile enough to either move around in the pocket or in other cases be able to take off and run. Lamar could be expendable as soon as next year or the year after.

Yeah the injury bug keeps biting us in the ass. I too would rest Andrews and Edwards. 24 days off has got to help them. I'd activate Desean; let's see if he has anything left in the tank. Our backup running backs and Lamar should give us some semblance of a running game and Duv and Likely will hopefully stay healthy and active and perform well. The one thing that scares me is Andy Dalton---a Ravens killer from way back. I have a feeling that IF we win this one we'll take the division. If we lose, all bets are off.

All I can keep thinking is: "I hope we can keep him here". This is a guy you can build a defense around that will last years.

They simply have to keep this guy with a new contract. If they don't, it may not be such a great deal. But for now, I'll think positively and give Eric provisional high marks. Can't wait to see him play.
