  1. I don't know if Stanley will ever make it back. I hope he does if only for his sake.
  2. Sounds good Max and I too sure hope they can stay healthy and get Ronnie Stanley back as we knew him.
  3. Yup…same here.
  4. No. I have to agree that health is the bigger factor. There's a load of potential talent on this team and they need to stay healthy.
  5. One of our newly drafted TEs has a sports hernia that may require surgery...Ojabo is holding out over his rookie contract...Gus Edwards is not expected to be ready for week 1 per Harbaugh.
  6. Every little bit helps.
  7. Hard to believe both guys died the same day. What a downer. I feel for their families.
  8. Shocking. Sad. And just when he might have been on the verge of success too.
  9. Yep, gotta soak it in now. It's gonna be a long wait for the opening of Training Camp and preseason football. Lamar is definitely bulked up. That may help his throwing as well as his running.
  10. I am IMpressed with the new secondary and DEpressed that we don't have equivalent defensive pressure. We didn't have pressure last year and we haven't done anything to address that issue for the coming season so far. We probably need to make a trade somewhere, somehow to generate pressure. On offense, I have read both encouraging and discouraging reports about the health of J.K. Dobbins. Most frequently I'm hearing he'll start camp and perhaps the season on the PUP list which means you can probably forget about him for this season. Haven't read squat about the health of Gus Edwards. Meanwhile, we don't have a receiver with adequate deep speed and the accompanying moves to get open and Lamar isn't even practicing. Is he having shit fit because Marquise isn't here? Do I care?
  11. You hit the nail on the head.
  12. Just judging from his appearance at the presser, it looked to me that Sam didn't really want to go. But, time marches on and the Ravens have made it as painless as possible. From what I"ve seen, he was the best holder I've ever.
  13. Yeah...not sure our offense is adaptable enough to pull that off. Our coordinator would have to change his methods some and Lamar would have to execute it effectively on a consistent basis.
  14. Duv is fast in a straight line not in patterns. He lacks quickness in being able to change direction. Good hands though and can get open on most plays.
  15. Yep...back then you didn't really need an offense. And then they changed the rules.
  16. I agree but it looks like they're desperate to add speed to the receivers we have. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us make a trade.
  17. Should we be interested in any of these? I have doubts: https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/julio-joines-ty-hilton-ravens-top-landing-spot-for-wide-receivers
  18. Agree with you on the FO responsibility. Not so sure about what you say regarding our young WR talent.
  19. Lots of good points in here. I guess we just wait and see unless a WR who's really fast and likes our system (fat chance) comes here. We certainly will have a lot of TE talent available this year.
  20. Maybe the Ravens could engineer a trade (Gee, there's an original thought, Eric). Shit, I'd be willing to give up a 2nd round pick for a true young-ish fast WR if we could get one for that.
  21. Boy do we need a healthy Stanley back. That is the key to this whole offense. Yeah we shoulda had a plan in place to replace Brown before letting him go. Blame that on DeCosta and my rather large gut that is getting bigger every week.
  22. IF they can get everybody back healthy by week 2, and I mean as healthy as they were when they got hurt, they could win 12 games. If not it will still depend on how many come back, how football healthy they are, and in what order who comes back. Right now the fog of war is impenetrable.
  23. Yep...I was there for every game that season. To this day I still remember the New England game but even more the game before it when we beat the Dolphins 10-7 in OT in the fog and damp to establish ourselves as the new upcoming NFL powerhouse. It's a shame it only lasted 3 seasons until Bert's shoulder got injured and Irsay's alcohol took over. Yeah, I remember! Thanks for that find Max!
  24. I agree with Mikey. I would just add that the players have to be motivated in their rehab as well. It's a tough road they have but they have to have that mindset of great determination. If Yanda and Suggs were still around they'd be able to tell that to the guys that have never been injured before in their early careers.
