  1. We don't need another headache especially with an aging WR. I don't think he's coming here anyway.
  2. Hard to tell with Joe what he feels...that's just the way he is. And why the offense has no leader.
  3. That's what I've been saying I'd like to see. They can't wait too long though because even the good second tier ones will probably be gone by when we draft in the 2nd round. Ideally, we'd trade back a few spots in return for an earlier spot in the second where we could take one like Lauletta.
  4. Yup...that's what I got out of it too. He does need weapons but he's really got to step up his play and dedication. I have to wonder, though, if age is also taking a toll on Joe earlier than many other quarterbacks. He just looks somewhat burned out to me.
  5. Thoughts to ponder: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-The-Approach-to-Joe-Flacco-Has-Changed/dd15f0a7-d7b3-4a38-b60a-adee52ce4a06 ...could mean that it's time to perform or else it could very well be 'see ya' after the 2018 season.
  6. RG's race should have nothing to do with it.
  7. Sounds like another retread to say we've done 'something'. I don't think we're going to get where we want to be until after this year's, and possibly, next year's draft.
  8. Harbaugh's 'everything is beautiful' crap is wanting me even more to see him get fired. No matter what negative thing happens to this team, he's always 'excited'. Well, John, a lot of fans like me would like to be 'excited' by the product on the field.
  9. I don’t mind as long as they STILL DRAFT A QB in the 2nd or 3rd round. Otherwise a real WTF move and a sign of desperation to win this coming year to save everybody’s job. BTW, interesting move by Belichick in trading Cooks for a first rounder from the Rams.
  10. Reluctant to take a RB in the first round unless it was Barkley. There's plenty of good backs in the later rounds and their careers don't last long enough to warrant a first round pick. Barkley is the exception.
  11. Kiper says this. I disagree with taking McGlinchey but I"d be ecstatic if we get Ridley in the first and Gesicki in the second. Third round pick should be a qb like Lauletta or Kirk if they're still there. If not then we could take an OT. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Mel-Kiper-Names-Three-Pass-Catching-Tight-End-Options-for-Ravens/50c390e6-c5a5-4e81-b33b-f7bcc6a8b3fd
  12. Well Ridley's a good choice but I wouldn't be unhappy if we traded down to get Moore later in the 1st. I think he'll be gone by our pick in the second round. As for tackle, we need playmakers right now and should do everything we can to draft them.
  13. Speculation by mock drafters show the Ravens taking either Ridley, D.J. Moore, or the OT from Notre Dame who's name I've forgotten. Any thoughts?
  14. Mike White was the qb prospect I was also thinking of.
  15. You have to look at the draft relative to the fact that other teams are picking too. I think this one is not bad except I agree on the need to take a qb at least by the fourth round and even that might be too late. I'm thinking of Lauletta whom I like a lot and the kid from Western Kentucky who's name I forgot. They both played extremely well in college and the Senior Bowl. They might have to pick a qb as early as the second or third round. So far as OT...I don't like the idea but they seem to be comfortable with Hurst.
  16. I disagree on this one. Passing a physical is always required when signing a new contract. The fact the Ryan is getting so much less on a one year 'prove it' deal means even his new team is worried. In other words, I don't think Oz called anybody to flunk him on his physical.
  17. Yes, replacing is better than re-signing these guys even for the favored one year contract. While I don't agree with everything that he's done by a long shot, I don't think Steve Bisciotti is a fool. If the results are the same look for big changes next off-season and they will come rapidly after the last game is played.
  18. I'm still a big fan of the team. I just hate to see them always displaying a non-entertaining offense. It drives me crazy to consistently see them making the same listless product year after year. Not a hater though---just immensely let down. And ready for change.
  19. Sickening really that any team and others would be so stupid. The NFL money is mind blowing.
  20. Yep. How long now have we said the Ravens lack the killer instinct?
  21. Joe will still be able to get the ball to him...he's not that washed up yet. But they still need to draft a replacement for him because he should go in a year or two when the dead money comes down.
  22. Well considering the overall mess they've made of things, I list this as a positive step---maybe. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-ravens-crabtree-0317-story.html
  23. A really good article. The Ravens' brass will read it and then proceed to continue on their current destructive path.
