  1. They can't afford Orr and I don't think I want another ticking time bomb of an injury on the team. The Pitta experience was bad enough.
  2. I think Max is right. We need another year after this one before we start decapitating the team personnel.
  3. Good points! Except for Steve Smith, Flacco was deprived of all the things you mentioned. I'm wondering how Morningweg is going to work out. We need more emphasis on the running game and downfield play action.
  4. Ah yes...thanks for the correction.
  5. Urschell's the smarter one for sure and Jensen has easy to provoke. I just wonder if Urschell is big and powerful enough. Didn't Urschell play every game during the Super Bowl playoffs?
  6. Tough call between Urschell and Jensen. I think I'd start out with Urschell but I'd be sliding Jensen in if he falters.
  7. I think the D'Allesandris hire was a good one but I don't think any offensive mind is going to overcome the Center and Tackle problem unless they get better personnel in those two slots.
  8. Really stepping out on a limb here, but I really liked what this guy had to say. Impressed with the last paragraph the most. Reminded me of Pagano's organized chaos theory on D. If we shore up the O-line somehow could be a good year. We need 2 good lineman. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Greg-Roman-Discusses-How-Running-Game-Will-Change-in-2017/34ec9615-8955-44a6-b67f-ad92fef6bf54
  9. IF the O line gets up to speed, Joe will deliver. But I don't have warm and fuzzies about Center and RT. How the line plays will determine if we make the playoffs or have another mediocre season. Joe needs protection and the backs need holes to run through.
  10. Great outcome to a move we needed so badly to make. Glad he chose Bmore.
  11. Isn't Decker a free agent if he gets cut?
  12. Quite possible. We don't have enough cap space to sign him and 2 offensive lineman. Unless they really do like Urschel and Jensen we'll get out bid.
  13. I agree. They need to sign him to a short term deal too so they can evaluate his ability before they sign a long term contract with him.
  14. The dead money is $4.4 million so we don't gain a whole lot. Anybody think we should go after Macklin? I don't know much about him.
  15. $5 million 200 thousand. But do we get hit with dead money?
  16. I was thinking mainly about Camp's toe and Young's ACL. I believe the guy was brought in specifically to deal with the number of injuries the Ravens have incurred over the last few years. It wasn't meant as a joke. As I said later, I hope Dennis is OK for regular life...things like walking and running with your kids.
  17. Afraid so. Hope he's ok for regular life.
  18. Gee, really bad news! I'm sure glad our new strengthening coach is on the job.
  19. I read this optimistic article on the Ravens. It's possible receivers might shape up. However, the confidence in the OL is a stretch for me. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-530-Reasons-Ravens-Are-Betting-on-Offensive-Potential/29eb9afe-92fe-492f-bbd1-aeb5b79e7570
  20. If he can stay healthy I think he'll do well this season and justify his #1 pick.
  21. Hurst is only a body to fill in that position. He hasn't shown anything beyond the 2012 playoff run. I don't think he'd be hard to replace. Even an average tackle would be better.
  22. There's only one guy on that list that can be truly called a playmaker and that's Wallace. If the rest want to become free agents let them and replace them.
  23. Campy has the talent and has played well when he hasn't been injured, but you sure can't count on him not having an injury. He's prone. I don't think the offense gets straightened out until after free agency and the draft next year. And even then it'll take some time to gel.
