  1. I like the signing. Even with the draft so deep in corners he adds a veteran presence. Yeah, I agree...pick up a corner later in the draft. Go after an OL or even better a WR.
  2. We should pick him up even if it's a one year rental.
  3. Hoping to pick up 5 rookie starters is impossible and I don't think Oz has any bullets left in free agency. All I'm saying is that they don't have a plan. Or one that's any good.
  4. This is getting pretty depressing. Now we need 2 starters on the OL which was an area Oz said needed upgrading. I'm no Zuttah fan but there are no other C free agent who's any better and now we have to get one in the draft, ALONG WITH a CB, a pass rusher, a G, and a WR and all of those guys a going to have to be starters (fat chance!). I think the Ravens have definitely lost their mojo and are heading into Browns territory. They are accelerating downward. I have no idea what, if any, plan they have. Seems like the must have played a lot of golf down at Bisciott's house that weekend rather than developed a plan.
  5. Could be the contract we're proposing has a bunch of incentives that he'll meet if he stays healthy and maybe he wants more security? Incentives would be thing to do though I believe.
  6. Any word on CB Morris Claiborne signing yet? He's been hurt a lot but if he can stay healthy he should be a real asset.
  7. We also need a WR who moves the chains, doesn't drop balls, and can fight for the 50-50 passes. Not sure about adding a FB to the list.
  8. Good news indeed!
  9. I know I'm dreaming but it would be great to get Terrell Pryor and Logan Ryan.
  10. Wagner was a competent RT but nowhere near being paid the highest amount for a RT in history. No wonder the Ravens passed. If they had gotten him an extension last year his price would have been way down from what he got this year. And there's no guarantee that Wagner would want re-sign here and wanted to test the market. It takes two to do a contract. Maybe the Ravens were willing but he was not.
  11. We'll see how much the Ravens are committed to winning by this time next week. So hold your horses.
  12. From what I've read, Williams and Wagner are gone anyway. Agree about Cooks.
  13. They should have enough to sign one or two free agents. If Marshall is what they want or Garcon I think they can get them. Marshall however has a lot of domestic abuse history which may rule him out from Bisciotti's viewpoint.
  14. Interesting point.
  15. ...and then wonder why we don't have any 'playmakers'.

    Do It

With all the success the Patriots have had over the year, it's mystifying to me that they haven't lost more coaches to head up other teams.
  17. Shrewd drafting would mean 4 very good players to pick of the 100 best college players. It's a chance to lay the foundation for a better than average team. All they have to do now is pull it off. Will they?

Just read that the Pats have the 4th most cap space in the league. I think they'll trade Garrapolo to the Browns for a 12th pick overall at least. Bellicheck's machine just keeps rolling along.

I thought the same thing when I saw that article. There's nobody on that list who is better than average. Younger and faster and more self motivated players are what we need.
  20. Incredible. We have to keep this guy, somehow.
  21. THe Ravens rank 28th in the NFL in cap space. Doesn't say much for our cap management when we rank that low and just have a mediocre team.
  22. I've also made that suggestion. Brady did it years ago that's how much he wants his team to be a winner. And Joe's contract is way out of line based on reality.
  23. I think we know who the good ones are on rookie contracts after 2 yrs. Those guys are the ones the FO needs to focus on signing earlier.
  24. I guess the FO is concerned that if they give out a contract a year early they'll be on the hook if an injury happens. Personally, I think that's a poor way to run a franchise.
  25. Here's the top 50 potential free agents according to PFF. https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-top-50-nfl-free-agents-of-2017/?utm_source=email021417&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nflnl2016
