  1. Play to win when you're ahead. DON'T play not to lose! Get fired up, dammit!
  2. If we have any glimmer of optimism it's this: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-The-Key-To-Maneuvering-Out-Of-Ravens-Dark-Place/cc47b93f-ebda-4f8a-b58a-4288b567d081 Even that glimmer is very dim to me.
  3. Joe has not lived up to his contract. the renegotiated contract really sucks and I agree they should have ridden the last one out. If they had the cap would be a lot higher today because Joe's negotiating strength this year and last year is about zero. I think Harbs has to go at the end of the season. He's just worn out his message here. As has been already mentioned all our tough guys are gone except for Suggs, and he's old and injured now, there is no player on the defense that scares opposing teams. Ditto for Smith SR and the offense. It's time for Oz to retire too. Not sure Da Costa would be any better after the last several drafts we've had. Whoever is responsible for having the final say on draft picks HAS to go. Steve B has has real big decisions to make. Not sure the Ravens will win another game this year. If so, they might just get a top 5 draft pick. Big Woop...
  4. I'm at a loss as to what they should do. A complete overhaul of the coaching and FO would probably reduce us to the status of an expansion team. Maybe we have to get to that level for real changes to occur but that's a really risky move for Bisciotti to make. He'd have to do a lot of hires but that is his strong suit. . Harbs was a good hire and he's had a good run but I think a change needs to be made at least with the coaching. If the FO office goes too we're looking at a 5 year plan to get back to being a team that has Super Bowl aspirations. And what happened to the great draft we were supposed to have gotten this year and last year? If I'm Bisciotti, I'd be picking other successful franchises brains for the rest of the season for a new HC at least.
  5. All good posts. Only 2 pro-bowlers in 6 years! Gee that's really awful and shows what the talent level and coaching are. Harbs should go...there are no more guys who 'play like a Raven' anymore. Plus his spiel (like that of all coaches over time) has gotten old. There is no passion on the team. No young playmakers. Joe looks lost out there and is playing like it. Harbs has lost the confidence of the players. yadda-yadda-yadda.
  6. I don't know. I don't see the cavalry coming to rescue us.
  7. Six games into the season and we look pathetic on offense. Yeah I know about the injuries. But, it's pretty sickening to know these chances: "Ravens’ Chances Of Top-10 Draft Pick Better Than Reaching Playoffs Ugh. It’s only October and the Ravens are already being mentioned in the same sentence “top-10 draft pick.” According to ESPN analytics, Baltimore has twice as good a chance of picking in the top 10 of this year’s draft (38.9 percent) than advancing to the playoffs (19.1). Ugh, again. “Of their 10 remaining games, the Ravens are only favored to win three: home against the Cleveland Browns (Week 10), home against the Cincinnati Bengals(Week 12) and home against the Miami Dolphins (Week 13),” wrote Hensley." Are we the new 'Browns'??
  8. I saw that too and completely agree with all of the above posts.
  9. Just not going to be a good year...
  10. Well, it's beginning to look like Biscotti will have to make wholesale changes at the end of the season. I'd like to see Oz retire---it looks like the game has passed him by. Not sure Da Costa is the answer either since he's had his fingerprints on this team as well. College scouting needs to improve or we wont' leave this rut we're in. It's been years since we've had good players come to our team from the draft. I mean stars. Biscotti, get on the stick!
  11. I think Denver would have matched any offer we made. A shame they needed an HC the same time we had Kubiak.
  12. They're both getting that burned out look. They need a change for their sake as well as the Ravens. I think Biscotti will change coaches at the end of the season. Moving Joe to another team probably not. Think about the cap consequences.
  13. Yeah, I thought that too, but Denver head coach under his buddy Elway was too much for him to pass on.
  14. Three wins just might be it for this year.
  15. Yeah, I don't see how the Ravens survive against any defense with that line. If we win, Marty will look like a savior.
  16. This is what Mikey thinks: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-preston-column-1014-20161013-column.html
  17. Agree about giving Moore a shot at it. Blocking though has been piss poor on returns too.
  18. Trestman had to go. There was just no confidence in the offense by the players. Sure we could use better reserve linemen but the bigger problem there is I believe Castillo. So far as special teams, I dunno...Rosberg has been here for years and we did very well until this year. If the Ravens' swan dive continues, Harbs is going to be in trouble.
  19. Ravens 24 Redskins 20...the offense wakes up a bit and the defense holds together.
  20. Really great news. All the best to him.
  21. They didn't just ashcan Forsett, he wanted to go where he could play: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-And-Running-Back-Justin-Forsett-Mutually-Part-Ways/85c250af-f51a-47a2-a034-775d87bb3932
  22. The 2 Raiders' fans are out on $25000 bail. Seems too low to me especially since they're out of towners. Horrible situation and not the first time Raider fans have acted out.
  23. Sad to see but as the players always say 'its a business'.
  24. He is frustrated and pissed. The dink and dunk is not the game we should be playing. Get the damned run game going and that takes the rush pressure off Joe. If this keeps up, Joe won't last the season.
