  1. Yeah, it sure didn't seem like he played much.
  2. Just wondering: did Perriman play at all?
  3. I see wins against the Bungles (1), Miami. Eagles is 50-50. The rest look like losses. So that's either 7-9 or 8-8.
  4. I remember that one well...Ray's not very articulate but he is loud.
  5. Dallas O-line wore down the Ravens front 7.
  6. If you ever tried to listen you'd find that a lot of Ray's speeches were rambling nonsense so I can't fault Joe for that.
  7. Ravens players comments: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Teammates-Stand-Up-For-Joe-Flacco-After-Ray-Lewis-Passion-Comments/1bdb2a6d-0a1f-40e1-9367-0010aefdf49b
  8. While Joe is certainly low-key, Lewis reminds me of somebody seeking a headline on this. He's stirring the pot.
  9. The O-line is having trouble even when they're healthy. Joe will never be consistent. And yes, the Browns are pathetic. Now, if we beat Dallas that will be saying something.
  10. That's what I see. The O-line doesn't protect him enough, the receivers aren't that great, Joe's in a mental state where he's worried about where the next hit is coming from and what it might do to him and that's messing up his mechanics to say nothing of his confidence. And I think his shoulder hurts.
  11. Yeah, unfortunately I think Suggs and Smith Sr are the only guys that feel that way anymore.
  12. I don't know if I agree with all of this article but it does make some interesting observations on 'franchise quarterback pay... http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2016/10/31/13477556/are-franchise-quarterbacks-over-valued-across-the-nfl?utm_campaign=baltimorebeatdown&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
  13. If the Steelers come out and we're not fired up it'll be an ugly loss. If the Ravens' coaches are good enough to fire us up as well, it'll be a close game. My guess: the Steelers win 27-10.
  14. The Ravens organization is looking pretty inept these days. And so are a lot of the players.
  15. I am not saying this is the problem, just something I remember from way back. When Vince Lombardi took over the then woefull Packers, one of the first things he did was throw guys out of the training room, telling them they had to play with little hurts.
  16. Don't forget, we don't want too many tough guys (like Boldin) to be on the team.
  17. Play to win when you're ahead. DON'T play not to lose! Get fired up, dammit!
  18. If we have any glimmer of optimism it's this: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-The-Key-To-Maneuvering-Out-Of-Ravens-Dark-Place/cc47b93f-ebda-4f8a-b58a-4288b567d081 Even that glimmer is very dim to me.
  19. Joe has not lived up to his contract. the renegotiated contract really sucks and I agree they should have ridden the last one out. If they had the cap would be a lot higher today because Joe's negotiating strength this year and last year is about zero. I think Harbs has to go at the end of the season. He's just worn out his message here. As has been already mentioned all our tough guys are gone except for Suggs, and he's old and injured now, there is no player on the defense that scares opposing teams. Ditto for Smith SR and the offense. It's time for Oz to retire too. Not sure Da Costa would be any better after the last several drafts we've had. Whoever is responsible for having the final say on draft picks HAS to go. Steve B has has real big decisions to make. Not sure the Ravens will win another game this year. If so, they might just get a top 5 draft pick. Big Woop...
  20. I'm at a loss as to what they should do. A complete overhaul of the coaching and FO would probably reduce us to the status of an expansion team. Maybe we have to get to that level for real changes to occur but that's a really risky move for Bisciotti to make. He'd have to do a lot of hires but that is his strong suit. . Harbs was a good hire and he's had a good run but I think a change needs to be made at least with the coaching. If the FO office goes too we're looking at a 5 year plan to get back to being a team that has Super Bowl aspirations. And what happened to the great draft we were supposed to have gotten this year and last year? If I'm Bisciotti, I'd be picking other successful franchises brains for the rest of the season for a new HC at least.
  21. All good posts. Only 2 pro-bowlers in 6 years! Gee that's really awful and shows what the talent level and coaching are. Harbs should go...there are no more guys who 'play like a Raven' anymore. Plus his spiel (like that of all coaches over time) has gotten old. There is no passion on the team. No young playmakers. Joe looks lost out there and is playing like it. Harbs has lost the confidence of the players. yadda-yadda-yadda.
  22. Interesting thought.
  23. I don't know. I don't see the cavalry coming to rescue us.
  24. Six games into the season and we look pathetic on offense. Yeah I know about the injuries. But, it's pretty sickening to know these chances: "Ravens’ Chances Of Top-10 Draft Pick Better Than Reaching Playoffs Ugh. It’s only October and the Ravens are already being mentioned in the same sentence “top-10 draft pick.” According to ESPN analytics, Baltimore has twice as good a chance of picking in the top 10 of this year’s draft (38.9 percent) than advancing to the playoffs (19.1). Ugh, again. “Of their 10 remaining games, the Ravens are only favored to win three: home against the Cleveland Browns (Week 10), home against the Cincinnati Bengals(Week 12) and home against the Miami Dolphins (Week 13),” wrote Hensley." Are we the new 'Browns'??
