  1. Ravens Wired. Ravens: Total Offense: 12; Total Defense: 19 Panthers: Total Offense: 30; Total Defense: 25
  2. I don't think this team will fall into any trap........ they really seem focused....
  3. Jamison Hensley • The Ravens are 11-3 following byes in the John Harbaugh era (since 2008). That's the 2nd-best mark over that span (the Steelers are 12-3 after byes). Since 2008, Baltimore has averaged 26.6 points in games following the bye and has held teams to an average of 17.4 points. From Hensley: For Ravens coming off bye, no one missed practice Wednesday because of an injury. All rest days. Baltimore welcomed back TE Mark Andrews (knee/shoulder) and RB Gus Edwards (hamstring) to practice. Both were limited Ravens injury report (Wednesday) DID NOT PRACTICE DE Calais Campbell* OLB Justin Houston* CB Marcus Peters* OT Ronnie Stanley* LIMITED TE Mark Andrews (knee/shoulder) RB Gus Edwards (hamstring) CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (hip) FULL DE Jason Pierre-Paul (ankle) *-Rest day Jamison Hensley • John Harbaugh said he thinks OLB David Ojabo (Achilles) could make his NFL debut on Sunday. Ojabo is a second-round pick who was considered a first-round talent before tearing his Achilles on his Pro Day.
  4. Lamar is the #1 FA next year. Smith is #6. If they franchise Lamar, then they can't sign Smith. Now this may force the Ravens and to guarantee what Lamar wants. Then they can sign Smith too. Good read..Pundit Says Only Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes Should Be in Consideration for MVP (baltimoreravens.com)
  5. Jamison Hensley • The Ravens are 12-point favorites over the Panthers, per @CaesarsSports. This is the biggest point spread in Week 11. Lamar Jackson is 12-0 in the regular season when being a double-digit favorite, throwing 27 TDs and 6 interceptions. For the last month or two I've been looking ahead to week 11 hoping that the Ravens could 'weather the storm' and roll into their bye week in a good situation. And they have. They sit at 6-3 in first place in the division, a game ahead of the Bengals who have a brutal schedule for the rest of the season, while the Ravens have the second easiest. The Ravens are in good position for their first top 3 seed since 2019. Their AFC seeding projections entering Week 11: No. 1 seed: 12.5% No. 2 seed: 23.8% No. 3 seed: 45.3% No. 4 seed: 8% No. 5 seed: 2% No. 6 seed: 3.3% No. 7 seed: 2.5% I saw week 11 as a time when the Ravens could be healthy and getting back most of the impact players that they need on their roster. Players like Gus Edwards, Bowser, Andrews will be starting again. Others like Humphrey, JPP, Peters, got time to heal up. Other players like Ojabo, Williams and JK are getting very close to getting on the field. This could be an epic run for a 1st seed in the playoffs meaning no trip to Buffalo or KC. Or it can be another nail biter full of trap games where the Ravens play down to the level of the competition. I'm believing in the former So here's the 1st of the traps. The 3-7 Panthers. Team Stats Panthers Ravens Points Per Game 20.4 26.1 Points Allowed Per Game 24.3 21.8 Total Yards 308.7 364.6 Yards Passing 190.7 196.4 Yards Rushing 118.0 168.1 Yards Allowed 373.8 370.7 Pass Yards Allowed 234.6 278.7 Rush Yards Allowed 139.2 92.0 The Ravens are looking real good at the moment. All they have to do is just take care of business one game at a time. If they grow more efficient and productive as a team each week, and stay relatively healthy, and hit the playoffs on a roll then it is going to get real crazy around here. Just how we like it. Mid Season Grades: Ravens midseason grades: High marks at RB and TE, both lines playing well - The Athletic Stay Focused! And More good Ravens Stuff: Five Reasons Ravens Are Trending Up Following Bye (baltimoreravens.com) I'll let Hensley do some of the work here... Jamison Hensley • Baker Mayfield, who gets the start for the Panthers on Sunday, had a 3-5 record against the Ravens when he was with the Browns. Mayfield's stats vs. Ravens: Comp. pct: 58.4% Avg. passing yards: 277.6 TDs: 13 Int: 9 QBR: 56.0 Baker Mayfield won his last start against the Ravens (a 24-22 win last December when Lamar Jackson got hurt in Cleveland). But, before that game, Baltimore had beaten Mayfield four straight times. In Mayfield's last start in Baltimore, Ravens held him to 48.6% completion rate. And the Ravens have this going for them... And this.... All fun aside, there's going to be a lot to watch. Will the coaches maximize the talent that they have? Because currently the Ravens are one of the most balanced teams in the NFL with the potential to be a serious Super Bowl contender come playoff time. Let's have fun watching this team come together over the remaining eight games One, Two, Three, Dominate!!!! High of 42 and sunny for kickoff.
  6. The Vikings played focused and hard for 60+ minutes. Finding a way to win that one was impressive. They did give up 30 points. They are 14th in points surrendered. Eagles are 3rd. Points scored Eagles are 2nd. Vikings 8th. Going to be a fight to the finish in the NFC too. Mid Season grades.....Ravens midseason grades: High marks at RB and TE, both lines playing well - The Athletic
  7. Bills have dropped to 6th place.... 2022 NFL Playoff Picture | NFL Playoffs | NFL.com Ravens (6-3) Bengals (5-4) Browns (3-6) Steelers (3-6)
  8. FYI: Josh Allens career completion % is 62.5% Lamar's is 63.*% Allen's QB career rating is 92.1% Lamars is 97.4% He's not that bad.
  9. Here's who we need to root for today: Browns, Saints, Vikings, 49ers, Jaguars, Broncos, Raiders. That should keep us busy scoreboard watching. Over the Next 9 weeks the Ravens could rise to a #1 or 2 seed, win the Division, be a Wild Card or finish out of the ..... Nope. .....that's not happening. It looks like a very fun day ahead starting with the Seahawks/Bucs right now in Munich. Hi Skippy!!!
  10. Where does this $300 mil figure come from? This is the 1st time that I have heard it. The rest of your speculation sounds like what we saw from 2001 to 2008. Great defense and special teams wasted because they could not find a QB.
  11. Only 4 out of 18 QBs drafted prior to 2019 are on their original teams. Franchise QBs don’t grow on trees. Where are you getting $330 mil from? ".....is a fully guaranteed contract for $300 mil worth it if...We have 5 more years of competitive exciting football? The Ravens win 2 SB's over the next 5 year?" Nobody knows the future, yet we can have a good idea of what the roster will look like with $300 mil guaranteed. Thin. No way I endorse $300 mil guaranteed. Use the franchise tag one more time, see if Lamar will lower his guaranteed money demands, if not, then see if there are any offers for him. I doubt there will be when they know the Ravens can't afford to franchise him in 2024. We'll lose him and get a compensatory pick. Now....$235 mil guaranteed? I'm warming up to that. Because we'll lose him, get basically nothing and have to start all over again. Andrews, Gus, JK, Tucker, Peters, Humphry, other players won't be around for forever.
  12. Huntly can't do this. Why can't you be happy with the incredible team and QB that we have? This season is setting up to be a fan's dream.
  13. Jeff Z lays this on us..... The Ravens don’t play a team that currently possesses a winning record until that regular-season finale. The Bengals, meanwhile, still have games remaining against Tennessee, Kansas City and Buffalo, while also having to play the Buccaneers and Patriots in back-to-back weeks on the road. The circumstances should allow Baltimore to create some breathing room. The Ravens, however, haven’t made a single thing easy on themselves all year, so why will they start now? It wouldn’t seem right without something on the line for that Week 18 showdown. Ravens second-half predictions: Defense becomes top-5 unit, Roquan Smith gets extension - The Athletic I know. It's never pretty. It's never easy, but it's "US." But damn! On paper we shouldn't have to be upping our blood pressure meds. It would be nice to be the team who knocks the Bengals out of the playoffs. Maybe Lamar smokes a cigar in their locker room....
  14. The 2nd half of this season for me will be about which teams get better. Who becomes legit contenders? Health will be a factor. Who are the most balanced teams (offense, defense, ST's) with the deepest rosters? And chemistry and intensity ... that we know what we want, believe in each other and this is our year. The Ravens are clearly on the upswing at the moment checking all these boxes. However, there are 8 more games to play. They have to earn it and I think they will.
  15. Fun fact about the #Ravens defense under new DC Mike Macdonald: 3rd for total takeaways (16), 4th in sacks (27) and 6th for lowest 3rd down conversion rate (33.7%). Really solid debut season. If the season ended today: Bills with the bye Dolphins at Ravens Chargers at Chiefs Jets at Titans After meeting Jackson, Landon put his arms around his father. "He gave me the biggest hug, and he squeezed me probably about as hard and as long as he squeezed Lamar," Jason Berry said. "But it was a hug that I'll never forget." Lamar Jackson brings young Ravens fan to tears (espn.com)
  16. That's a thing of the past
  17. After the Ravens performance against the Saints, I see no need to rush anybody back for the Panthers. Let's get as healthy as possible ... and then crush people.
  18. Tucker pregame...80 yards....
  19. Jamison Hensley • — Today at 1:42 PM Ravens injury updates from John Harbaugh: RB Gus Edwards will be back after this week’s bye RB J.K. Dobbins will return in a few weeks DE Jason Pierre-Paul, WR DeSean Jackson “should be fine” after bye S Marcus Williams (wrist) will return some time in December Ravens TE Charlie Kolar (hernia), a rookie fourth-round pick who missed all of training camp, is expected to be activated off IR this week. “He had three good weeks of practice," John Harbaugh said. "But I expect Charlie to contribute this year."
  20. How can you not love this guy....
  21. Lamar left at least 2 TD's on the field due to accuracy issues. However.... There was so much to love! Let's give Macdonald a shout out. He's learned what his players can do and how to best use them. He's finally getting a healthy roster. eric got him some serious help with Smith. This D is fired up and fun to watch. The 2022 Ravens finally have an identity. Smothering defense, great Special Teams and a ground and pound #5 scoring offense. Just in time for December and January football.
  22. Ravens didn't get any help today. Jeff Zrebiec • TweetShift BOT — Today at 2:33 PM Ravens TE Mark Andrews (neck/shoulder) has officially been ruled out for Monday’s game in New Orleans. He didn’t travel with the team. Duverney: “I know what I'm capable of. I know what I can do and like to do. If people sleep, that's on them.”
