  1. It will be cold and windy in Cleveland. A good day to pound the rock on Cleveland's 22nd ranked run defense. The Ravens should have 52 of their 53 players available to play for the 1st time in 587 years. Jamison Hensley • — Yesterday at 2:42 PM Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game at the Browns after not practicing all week. QB Tyler Huntley received no injury designation after his second straight full practice. As it's looked all week, Huntley is ready to start for 2nd straight game. [2:45 PM] Ravens injury report at Browns QB Lamar Jackson ruled out and will miss 2nd straight game QB Tyler Huntley cleared to play G Kevin Zeitler (knee), P Jordan Stout (right knee) and OT Morgan Moses are questionable but all had full participation Thursday [2:50 PM] Lamar Jackson (knee) is sidelined for the second straight game, which was expected. The question now is whether he will be ready for the Dec. 24 game against the Falcons. Jackson has now missed seven games over the last two seasons (a total of 31 games).
  2. When the season ended a year ago the Ravens were left with a ton on injured players and many weaknesses on this roster. Eric had his work cut out for him. Here's an article I read this morning that basically outlines the mountain he had to climb.... "Jeff Zrebiec (Ravens): I’d give Ravens GM Eric DeCosta a solid B, and it would be even higher if not for the curious approach at wide receiver, where Baltimore didn’t really replace the traded Marquise Brown and left themselves vulnerable to an injury. Sure enough, No. 1 receiver Rashod Bateman went down with a season-ending foot injury. Otherwise, DeCosta has done a nice job building a deep roster that has withstood numerous injuries to key performers. You can fixate on the Ravens’ shortcomings or talk about how unimpressive they’ve looked at times this season if you want. But they are 9-4, and they’ve won six of their last seven games despite being without quarterback Lamar Jackson for two games and counting, top running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards for nearly two-thirds of the season, Bateman since October and left tackle Ronnie Stanley for more than half the season. Defensively, outside linebackers Tyus Bowser and Justin Houston, nose tackle Michael Pierce, cornerback Kyle Fuller and safety Marcus Williams were all out for prolonged stretches, and Pierce and Fuller remain sidelined. DeCosta made a host of late offseason or in-season additions, including Houston, Jason Pierre-Paul, Demarcus Robinson, DeSean Jackson and Kenyan Drake, who have helped the team stay afloat. And the team’s draft class, led by Kyle Hamilton, Tyler Linderbaum and Isaiah Likely, has mostly delivered. DeCosta deserves solid marks. AFC North Whiparound: Grading the GMs, touting unsung heroes, picks and more - The Athletic What is your grade for Eric? Is this year's roster deeper?
  3. I heard it's nothing serious.
  4. I don't see them losing Smith. He really likes it here and ... "Since Smith joined the middle of the defense, **Baltimore has allowed the second-fewest points in the NFL and the fewest rushing yards" You can win a lot of games with that. And I want Lamar too if the guaranteed money is reasonable. All you have to do is watch NFL RedZone and see all the teams floundering because of average or below QB play. The Steelers lost Sunday because of it and they could be 10 years trying to find a good one ... I hope.
  5. I think we'll see Huntley but there is nothing defenite on that at this time. Huntley and Brown are UFA's that the Ravens swooped up. Here's a good article that shows how detailed and together the FO, scouts and coaching staff is.
  6. Yes! We want to know! Right Now!!! I'm definitely worried about this game. Zeitler was a limited participant at practice yesterday. amison Hensley — Yesterday at 4:21 PM Ravens QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) was limited in Tuesday's walkthrough. QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice. [4:23 PM] Ravens injury report (Tuesday's walkthrough) Did not practice QB Lamar Jackson (knee) WR Demarcus Robinson (illness) Limited QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) G Kevin Zeitler (knee) OT Morgan Moses (knee) P Jordan Stout (right knee) [4:25 PM] In last year's Ravens-Browns game in Cleveland, Lamar Jackson suffered a season-ending ankle injury after Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah dove at the back of Jackson's lower right leg. This year in Cleveland, Owusu-Koramoah won't play and Jackson likely won't suit up either.
  7. Ravens’ current projections: Make playoffs: 99.6% Win division: 67% No. 1 seed: 3.4% No. 2: 14.1% No. 3: 49.1% No. 4: 0.4% No. 5: 16.5% No. 6: 10.6% No. 7: 5.5% Source: ESPN's Football Power Index
  8. They are more than hints to me. It's reality of playing football in the NFL. Yea. limit the guaranteed money.
  9. We're down to the home stretch. Short week; Week 15 Ravens at Browns Saturday, 4:30 p.m. TV: Chs. 11, 4, NFL Network Radio: 97.9 FM, 101.5 FM, 1090 AM Line: Browns by 3 Must Win? It is for the Ravens if they are to win the AFC North. As long as the Bengals keep winning, then the Ravens must also. It's a must for the Browns (5-8) if they want to stay ahead of the 5-8 Steelers and stay out of the basement of the AFC North. TEAM STATS Points Per Game 23.2 23.1 Points Allowed Per Game 19.2 24.8 Total Yards 357.0 381.4 Yards Passing 194.8 231.9 Yards Rushing 162.2 149.5 Yards Allowed 349.6 357.2 Pass Yards Allowed 268.5 229.2 Rush Yards Allowed 81.2 128.1 Can they go into Cleveland and win with Brown at QB? Will JK have a repeat performance? We'll see how well he feels after the strain he put on his knee last Sunday. Hopefully Watson is still rusty from his layoff. Or better yet, he gets busted in a massage parlor this week. Stats can be deceiving. Which team is ascending, and which is descending? Or are they both treading water? Also, stats won't tell you the tale of how hard-fought division rivalry games are.
  10. Yea but how far beyond? When does it catch up to you? They haven't gone far with Lamar because of the poor passing game. 94 yards passing yesterday. How long is that sustainable? It won't do week 18 and might not be enough this Saturday vs the Browns.
  11. Jamison Hensley • — Today at 9:24 AM Ravens’ current projections: Make playoffs: 99.6% Win division: 67% No. 1 seed: 3.4% No. 2: 14.1% No. 3: 49.1% No. 4: 0.4% No. 5: 16.5% No. 6: 10.6% No. 7: 5.5% Source: ESPN's Football Power Index They must get Lamar back and make sure there's no rust come playoff time. They can win right now playing great defense and running the ball, but they will need more in the playoffs because some teams will stop/limit the run and get a lead.
  12. John Harbaugh on Calais Campbell: "He's definitely a Hall of Fame field goal blocker, there's no doubt about that." No one has more blocked field goals than Campbell over last 15 years: Calais Campbell: 9 Julius Peppers: 5 Craig Terrill: 5 This is a team loaded with great characters and football players. Just like Ravens teams of the past. Get Lamar and Huntley back and look out NFL. The Ravens are sneaking up!
  13. Chills on this one... it's true.
  14. Agree. This is off season stuff. They can sign both.
  15. Huge Win for the Ravens. This was a "MUST WIN" game for the Steelers. A heartbreaker. Somehow, I'm not bothered by that. Huntley> Brown> Mitch> Pickett JK had 120 yards on 15 carries for 8 ypc. Harris 12 carries 33 yards for a 2.8 ypc. Media won't say JK's good, but they are all over Harris's ass. You'll keep hearing how great he is and the scary Steelers rushing attack. Steelers ran for 56 yards on 18vcarries for 3.1 ypc.
  16. The Ravens have some rust to knock off with Gus and JK and Huntley working together. Just keep blocking and hitting Watt's ribs. Williams makes the secondary so much stronger. They need a big day from Smith and Queen stopping the run. And Macdonald needs to make all the right calls. It's not a Must win game ... but it is.
  17. They let go of Davis so it looks like JK and Gus will play Sunday with Drake sharing the load. Stanley will be back too. This game is huge for the Ravens. Division game. On the Road and the lead for the Division is tied. eff Zrebiec • — Yesterday at 2:33 PM Otherwise, CB Daryl Worley (hamstring) has been ruled out and QB Lamar Jackson (knee) is doubtful. Five Ravens are questionable: OL Kevin Zeitler (knee) and Patrick Mekari (toe) ILBs Patrick Queen (thigh) and Kristian Welch (concussion) and LB Del'Shawn Phillips (quad) [2:37 PM] Mekari, Queen, Welch and Phillips all practiced in full Friday, so that puts them in good position to play. Kevin Zeitler was limited. Zeitler has only missed one game over last eight seasons
