  1. Didn't Floyd turn down the Ravens a few years ago? Now that he's washed up, they suddenly look good to him. This is like his 5th team in the last 5 years. My guess is Brown won't be ready due to his foot. That takes 12-15 months to heal from what I hear. It took Jimmy Smith that long. I like McPhee of the Ravens past....he was great....after that he forgot how to play at a high level and has been a disappointment. I'll call this a no confidence vote for Williams and Bowser...if only he could play like Bowser. He did save my life once. I was heading to heart attack city and then he picked off Brady. Same for Ray. You can call it depth yet to me iIt looks like they got slower.
  2. And that makes great football to watch. Whoever comes out on top and makes the playoffs will be ready.
  3. The Ravens will be a tough out for any team that they face this year.

    Endgame

Nothing can kill Galactus. To him, the Avengers are like microbes on a coffee roll.
  5. That's why Joe's in Denver. They weren't putting up a ton of points with Lamar. A ton of yards. A ton of possession time. Yes! and that kills defenses and opposing offenses. That took KC to the wire. Yet they must score more points this year to contend. Whatever happens...they're "Our Ravens!"
  6. Last season was fun and I expect this year will be even better. It will take time for the offense to develop as a unit....as one. Maybe by week 8 they begin to hit stride.

    Endgame

Took the family and saw it last night and all of us thought it was very enjoyable. Of course I left confused about a lot of things but then again, life in general confuses me.
  8. All true and some good news........... It would be fabulous if Cully can do for the passing game what Roman did for the run.
  9. It's a change in philosophy that comes with the changing of the guard. Eric has seen enough of what "at the end of their career" receivers bring to the offense. Just like under Billick the Ravens kept recycling QB's. The thought here was "why draft a QB, spend a few years developing him, only to see him scooped up in free agency?" Get a proven commodity. But most of these receiversv and QB's are recycled from the trash heap. There are a few gems every now and then like Steve Smith , Boldin and Mason. There's a ton of clunkers to go with that group. Speed is the other issue. You don't add speed with the aging vets and in today's NFL, being fast is a must. This offense had to get fast in a hurry with a talent like Lamar. He needs the compliments to his game now....not a guy here, a guy there over the next few years.

Will see it this weekend. Can't wait.
  12. Cap Left.......
  13. that's a good observation. The scouts are on the phones now and these guys might choose th Ravens over other teams because of Lamar. The same goes for other UDFA's who have friends drafted by the Ravens.
  14. Give Harbaugh some credit. Right before the Ravens first pick he leaned over and said to Eric, "If you love the long drive and you love the grind-it-out ... get it into the red zone and keep your fingers crossed and hope you score touchdowns, then you don’t want this guy," Eric went.... and quickly picked Brown.
  15. Like every draft, teams can't fill every need and we do not know who will turn into solid contributors at this point in time. This could be the best Ravens draft ever, or the worst. Time will tell. My first thoughts: Eric DeCosta! He showed his hand at what kind of team he wants to and will field. He got Lamar and got rid of Joe. He got the play making tight ends last year. Now he added 3 fast play makers in Hill, Boykin and Brown. Defenses can try to play the usual "stack the box and force Lamar to beat them with his arm." Please do.Because if any one of these players gets even with you, you just lost. 30...40...yards or TD! If they play back a little to protect the field then they will get run over. He went Need. He definitely got value. He got great value. But he went Need. This offense is going to be so much fun to watch. It was last year once Lamar started. Here's what happened. Like us, Eric has sat for 23 years watching inept, stumbling, bumbling Ravens offenses. It hurt his brain. It burned his eyes. This caused his head to explode once he got the chance to put an end to it. Call it sideways anger, a resentment tsunami...payback baby...yippie ki yo ki yea mofo...HE FRIGGN HEARD OUR PAIN! oh...changing of the guard or pecking order here; This team is built to win the North, but now, all these moves counter what the Browns have done. Think about that match up. So how do you feel about the Ravens draft and how the roster is starting to come together?
  16. Oh yea!Justice Hill! Speed kills. You can see where this offen6is going now.
  17. There is a ton of talent on this 2019 Ravens offensive roster. A ton of speed. They could keep defenses off balance, confused and out of position. Any missed tackle "could be" a TD. That's real pressure. Success hinges one one guy. They have to be able to successfully pass or water in the gas tank will choke it out. Lamar has been putting in the hard work. He's confident. And he looks very excited at the presents Eric has provided.
  18. Jaylon Ferguson EDGE, LATECH Height: 6-5, Weight: 259 Ferguson had some scouts talking him up as a first-round pick. That tells you about his talent. He is raw but the Ravens know pass rushers, and he brings plenty of production from the collegiate level. Miles Boykin WR, ND Height: 6-4, Weight: 220 I love this kid's ability. He has a chance to be a big-time producer if the offense can use him correctly. Lamar Jackson will love him, even after getting Marquise Brown in Round 1.
  19. The next Julio Jones and Terrell Suggs...Come on Down! Obviously we'll know in a couple of years how well these guys pan out yet right now it looks like Eric is striking gold. What a great find for third round picks.
