Report: Ravens to sign CB Tavon Young to a contract extension
vmax replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
That's a lot of money. Then again the forward pass is King in this league. Got to defend it or forget playoffs. -
Right now and until the pre season games reveal more, I'm on the optimistic side regarding Lamar and this offense in transition. I love Romans attitude. And I love Lamar's. I have this feeling he is totally confident that he will show all his doubters wrong....that this criticism is fueling and driving him...like he's on a mission. It seems to this point nothing phases him....nothing's too big.

Very refreshing to hear this....

Thanks Dee...7 years of college is finally paying off!

I want the nastiest MoFo's that the Ravens can find in the trenches. That's where the game is won.

guys...you're distracting me....The broomstick thing made my mind think of this.... and then this.... Can we clean it up a little so I can get back to this?......

Stating facts or pointing out what next steps the Ravens need to do is not hating. Taking about what the Ravens need to do to keep Lamar healthy and make him successful is not hating. It's the opposite. It will be interesting as hell to see what this offense morphs into. Last year, once Lamar started, was the most fun that I had watching Ravens games since the Super Bowl run. As fans we have a lot to get excited about....and concerns. This comes with the roster and coaching changes of every off season.

Bo nails it right here. Everybody has tape now. And a whole off season to game plan. The 2019 Ravens will either morph into something new or we have at least 3 years of losing staring us in the face. Either Lamar becomes an effective pocket passer or we have at least........."""""" Greg Roman has to go where few NFL OC's have gone before. How does he maintain the running threat that Jackson posses and not get him on IR every season? How does he get Lamar to learn how to read defenses and make quick decisions...right decisions? How does he stop the fumblelitus? Turnovers kill. And....this was not a high scoring offense. Exciting to watch, but points was not their forte'. Harbaugh and his coaches have to develop a winning game plan for all 3 phases. How will these units compliment each other and work in tandem to get to 10 wins? What will the 2019 Ravens look like? Will the Defense be nearly as good? They have 6 months.

I just took the Annual ER Maturity test and I failed. That makes 20 straight years dating back to the ESPN Boards. The good news is that it qualifies me to remain as a Moderator. I tried the argument that I can't be immature because I use Adult content. I was told, "Nice try."

I don't know. I think the Potomac Drainage Basin Indigenous Persons made the same deal for Alex Smith last year before the league year started. That stood.
-
Initial reactions are that the Bronco's are dumby's and that DeCosta pulled a fast one.
-
This deal can't be finalized until the start of the league year March 13th. That's 30 days away and a lot of Buyers Remorse could set in.

Five Young Ravens Who Could Make a Jump in 2019
vmax replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Not on this list is Willie Henry. He's a beast. -
We won't see Bell or Brown in a Ravens uniform. Too much money and too much baggage and distractions......Harbaugh wants team guys....unselfish guys....they won't mix or get along.

Yea! That's Not Ravens Football!!

That was one boring crappy SB. Belichik did out coach McVey, but Brady and Company left the door wide open for the poorly performing Rams offense to steal a win. All they needed was one big play. Half time sucked. And now....the long wait.
-
For the Record...because I'm absolutely certain the whole sports world wants to know my opinion..... .......I have no rooting interest in this game. I think it's a tainted Super Bowl. The Rams should not be in it. The Saints should. And it's not the fault of the Rams, so I don't hold this against them. I actually had a chance to meet with some Saints fans last night and I feel their angst.... Last year it was easy for me to pull for the Eagles and have an interest. I think the Rams win. The only interesting thing for me is to watch is if Bellichick can once again out scheme and out coach a superior opponent and pull out the win.

He's the greatest safety to ever play the game. As a Ravens fan I feel so fortunate to have watched him play every Sunday. We witnessed something rare and special. He was simply jaw dropping awesome.

I'm going with the Rams. 34-30. Yes it's Brady and Bellicheat, but people forget Philly took them out last year. I say the Patsies, although great at climbing the mountain, don't reach the summit this year. It's the Decline and Fall of the Patriots Empire that we will be watching. The Rams have the defense that can collapse the center of the pocket, push Brady off his spot and he's a different QB after that. High scoring game because the Rams D does give up points but the O makes one more score than the Pats. Boston around 10-30-11 tomorrow night....

That was great. You have to admit it's scary going into the Lamar era. It's a big change....then again, my eyes and brain didn't hurt watching his run at QB. I love his confidence. His team mates do too.....so he's for real. We saw what Joe could do in 2012 when he had a good supporting cast to work with. They need to surround Lamar with players that he can be productive with or he will wallow like Joe did.

ME Too! Give me one huge nasty O line please! And some safeties for desert.
